For sale is my 2002 Porsche 911 Cabriolet. The car has a Texas rebuilt salvage title but do not let that scare you off. The car is in good condition and drives great. A/C blows very cold, even during this hot Texas summer. The top functions well. Black vinyl has been added to the headlights but is removable. This Porsche has been very reliable in the time I have owned it. This car was purchased for my wife when we had two kids. We now have three, leaving the Porsche a seat short for us to enjoy it much anymore. This is a 2002 and does have the glass rear window which is a big improvement over the earlier plastic windows. The interior is in good condition. The bezel around the climate control is loose, the cubbyhole between the seats is missing its lid, and there is some light staining on one corner of the drivers side rear floor mat. The airbag light does stay on. A google search revealed this is a common problem and usually has to do with a seat belt sensor. It is my understanding that this does not effect the airbag function. Seats are very comfortable and supportive. The paint looks nice and has good gloss/shine but there are a couple of light scuff marks and rock chips. They are difficult to notice except in the perfect light. The car performs very well and is very fun to drive. Everything is stock on the car except for the stereo. The car tracks very straight but the steering wheel is off by several degrees. I have not had it corrected. I live in a small town and do not trust the local alignment shops to center it. Tires have plenty of life left in them. The price is right with a low starting bid and no reserve. Please contact me before bidding if you have a feedback score of less than 10. I have been very happy with this 911, and I think the next owner will be too! Thank you.

The exotic '80s: Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus and the Porsche 959
Thu, Apr 9 2015There's no secret that we are big fans of the MotorWeek Retro Review series around here. In an automotive world that often focuses on the latest tech and what's coming in the future, it's refreshing to take a look into the past to get a new perspective. That said, the show is really outdoing itself this time by posting a full episode from the '80s to YouTube, complete with the original, jazzy opening. The video is an absolute standout, too, with drives of some of the best supercars that Europe could offer at the time. Among the now classic sportscars that MotorWeek got to drive are the Ferrari 328, Lotus Esprit Turbo, Lamborghini Jalpa and Autokraft AC Mark IV. There's even a preview that sings the praises of the tech in the Porsche 959. The episode is basically a showcase of most of the exotics from young enthusiasts' walls and school folders during the '80s and is not to be missed. Touring Italy in a classic Porsche will have you feeling continental
Wed, 13 Nov 2013It's hard to believe there was a time when a Porsche 911 didn't come to market with 400 horsepower. But as the latest video from Petrolicious reminds us, with this video of a 1968 911T, owned by Donato Maniscalco, that time wasn't so long ago.
You might think, being a distinguished man living in Italy, Maniscalco would be more enthused by a Ferrari, Maserati, or Lamborghini, but in reality, it was always Porsche that enamored the Italian as a boy. And it was that passion that led him to purchase the glorious 911T he's seen tossing about in this video.
Maniscalco goes into detail about what makes the old 911 such a legend, while also mentioning how he and the car participate in classic rallies and races. There's also some typically beautiful footage of the Italian countryside, as well. So take a look below for the latest video from Petrolicious.
Porsche tuners 9ff, SpeedArt going bankrupt
Thu, 19 Sep 2013Times are tough in Europe right now, and that unfortunately has reaped disastrous consequences for some of its smallest niche automakers. Gumpert, Wiesmann, Artega and Lola have all filed for bankruptcy this year, and it appears that tuners are not immune to the tough times, either.
Word coming in from across the pond suggests that 9ff and SpeedArt - two of the biggest names in Porsche tuning - have filed for bankruptcy as well. 9ff is best known for the GT9, a radical hypercar barely based on the 911, while SpeedArt was once of the foremost tuners of Porsches.
Fortunately there are still plenty of tuners ready to take a wrench to your Elfen, but the reported demise of these two makes the market a little bit smaller and - for Porsche enthusiasts - maybe the world a little bit lonelier, too.
