My husband and brother in law came here
My husband and brother in law came here first to look at getting a car for me. They test drove an Escape and picked me up. The second I stepped out the door onto the dealership lot I immeadiately felt pressured to make a decision. They were pushing the brand new XLT hard, saying if it was their money, that`s what they would do over and over. The had a used 2012 Limited that my husband had expressed interest in, but t... view morehey told him that they didn`t have the keys, that they were locked in their downtown location. When I showed up and expressed interest in it as well I was told that it would take them 2 weeks to get it detailed and safety inspected. Then when it appeared like we were going to leave without any car, wow!Amazingly enough the keys were found, and incredibly, it would only take 2 days to get the car through detailing and inspection. All this aside we were still willing to get the used car, but when the financial paperwork came out, I felt very uncomfortable with the whole thing. Everything was written by hand, nothing was broken down so we could see the fine line on where the money was going. It just felt sketchy. My brother in law, a former cars salesman, had agreed to come so that he could explain everything to me (this being my first car buying experience) but his very presence seemed to annoy the salesmen. They waited until he went to the restroom to bring us the paperwork, and weren`t pleased when I said I wanted to wait until he got back. My BIL was trying to drive a bargain, but they ended up losing our business over like $250 and a ceritfication (because their used cars aren`t Pre-certified). We ended up buying a brand new 2012 Escape at another dealership, and with extended warranty, the monthly payments are pretty similar to what Westlie was offering for the used Limited. I wasn`t going to write this review at all, just let the whole incident slide, but we received a call from one of the Westlie salesman today saying he was sorry we couldn`t make a deal, and then followed that saying the other saleman had ""wanted to punch [my brother in law] in the face"". Wow. Can we say unprofessional? I`m sorry, keep that talk in the break room. I wont be going back or recommending others to this dealership.
