Dishonesty with the amount of money that i gave them to not tow my car. On September 17, 2011 at 5:14 pm my mother and i were on campus at Ohio state university and two men from Shamrock towing were pushing my car and hooking the car up to the tow truck i begged and begged them to stop that i would move my car, a older fellow told me no and that i would have to pick it up at the impound lot, i keep begging please sir... view more let me get my car i have to go to school and i have my children with me, he said no and proceeded to tow my car, as he started to tow my car away the bumper of my car was scratching the ground. I yelled out to him stop and the younger fellow from shamrock towing told the older fellow from shamrock towing to stop, so the older fellow from shamrock towing looked at my car and said give me $200.00 and ill drop your car but if i take it down to the impound lot its gonna cost you more money, i said okay drop my car please as i handed him $200.00 in cash the younger fellow from shamrock towing unhooked my car and the older fellow from shamrock towing gave me a receipt that stated $80.00, and the men from shamrock towing jumped in his tow truck and drove away as i look at the receipt and saw the error i called the number that was on the tow truck and i spoke to a lady that was very mean and told me that i was lying and that she didn`t believe me and that the guy only charged me $80.00 and he gave me a discounted rate i told the lady that how would she know that because she wasn`t present when this happened, she called me a lyre and said that i would have to call back and speak to a manage by the name of mike on Monday.

Towing Damages Car - Risks Teen`s Life
My 1999 Mercedes was towed by Shamrock Towing, Inc. on 1/13/2011 from a parking lot at Columbus State College. My son took responsibility for parking incorrectly by paying the towing fee. Immediately after picking up the car, my son noticed the loss of pressure in his brakes. Two days later, the damage made to his car by the towing device, almost cost him his life. (Anyone that has teens knows their brains are stil... view morel developing and it takes them awhile to realize they are in trouble) The caliper was broken and he lost all brake
fluid. The mechanic said that something big broke the caliper - when I mentioned he was towed earlier in the week, he verified that was likely the cause. The cost for
repair is ~$300.00 in addition to the tow of $92.58. I contacted the owner, Mike Wilson, and he went to the mechanic to take pictures of the underneath of the car. He told me he would get back to me - and he did not. I had to call him, and a person in the office, told me he was out sick for the day. I told her that I had talked to him earlier and that he went to look at my car. He then returned my call, and told me that there was no way his towing device could have broken the caliper. He also told me that is what the mechanic agreed with. He has no intentions of providing a resolution. I immediately called my mechanic, and he said that he didn`t agree with Mike. Mike would not consider that it could have been caused by operator error. Here are the facts: 1) I had just had the car serviced on 1/6 and the brakes were in perfect (new) condition 2) my son drives to school and the brake pressure is normal 3) he is towed by Shamrock Towing 4) we pick up the car and within the first 5 minutes of driving the car, he
notices a significant change in the pressure of the brakes 5) I call Shamrock Towing on that afternoon and explain the situation, and they say there is no way they could cause the brake problems 6) two days later my son loses all brake power and risks his life 7) car is taken to the mechanic where he confirms damage to the caliper and no brake fluid 8) I share that the car had been towed, and he confirmed that could be the cause. 9) Contact Mike Wilson and he says he`ll look into it and will get back to me. He claims a rock was caught in the snow and cut the brake line. He would not even consider operator error. All I know is the brakes were in perfect condition the week before, and since being towed, my son could have been in a serious accident.

You know what is telling? AAA Ohio will not use Shamrock Towing for their members because of the issues they have had in the past. If you use Shamrock Towing - would you want to be held liable for their unsafe procedures?

Horrible Customer Service
My car was towed from the Short North after only approximately 1 hour. They towed my car because they claimed I did not put in enough money into the little box, but I HAD. They relied upon a picture taken of the box -- which is full of money. So how could they tell I (supposedly) shorted them a whopping $2??? They are scammers!! Now, they won`t return my phone calls and I`m sending all this information to the BB... view moreB. I am not letting them keep my $140 for something I did NOT do (or fail to do). Unfortunately, it`s my word against theirs. It`s not fair.

they biggest crooks in columbus
These scumbags make their money by towing peoples cars and charging outrageous fees. If you call a reputable towing company, you`ll be charged less than a $100 even for a decent distance. If your car gets towed by these scums, it`ll be closer to $300.
