Scam Artists

Beware off Chandler`s Towing in Durham. Illegally put a boot on my car and then waited for my 15 min return and refused to remove it without the $100 CASH payment. I had no choice but to pay because as they said there is nothing you can do when they have a boot on your car! Police have been notified but now I have to sue them in Civil Court to get my money back. All you have to do is read the other reviews to kno... view morew I am telling the truth. Predatory Towing

They put a tire boot on my wife car while parked at an apartment complex. No illegal parking signs. They threatened to leave my wife and 7yo child stranded without a way home at night. Either pay cash or the car is getting towed. They had to drive my wife to an ATM get cash, before they would remove the tire boot. This company is evil.

BEWARE! Predatory towing!

Chandler`s is notorious in Durham for predatory towing and scamming people out of their money. They falsely towed my car as I was eating at a restaurant, and true to their form as a shady business, would not release the car without $200 CASH only. The ""service"" was extremely slow. Their whole business model depends on contracting out parking lots, paying the owners of these lots a fee, putting a hidden or barely vi... view moresible sign and waiting to tow the cars and charge exuberant amounts. NEVER use this service as they will charge you many hidden fees once they have your car and demand cash to release it. Hope this serves as a warning to decent people living in Durham.

Predatory Towing Service

We parked our car in an unmarked spot in a private garage, no warning signs that this was a "permit only" spot. No signs noted this fact AT ALL.... Chandlers booted our car, and their driver "Danny" even agreed there were no signs to warn us. "Yeah I know" !!! The central office would not even speak with us until we paid $125 to unboot the car . . . See you all in small claim... view mores court !!! At least I can get $35 back !!! Wicked selecta baby.

Booted my Car in Error - but Resolved the Situation Quickly

Boot placed on car in error, property owner has inadequate signage. Paid our fee ($125) to have the boot removed. After speaking with the owner, he was understanding and will reverse this $125 charge.

I would not recommend this business to my enemy. I used this business and was literally verbally assaulted by one of the employees. He was rude and used vulgar language. I have used other auto shops and have never been disrespected like this before. If you want to run a business teach your employees some common courtesy!
