Worst Dealer in Hartford Area
My wife and I recently shopped at Lia Hyundai. BIG - HUGE Mistake. The dealership is very dishonest. They say they can not do things when you know they can and then when you are about to leave they all of the sudden change their mind. Chris - the sales manager / business manager will lie to your face. We caught him in over 5 lies and questioned him on them. We wanted a vehicle in a different color and he said ... view morehe could not get it. Then later said he could get any color we wanted. Why didn`t he say that when we asked the first time? ""I wanted to sell the black one we have in stock."" That is a quote from Chris... Chris and Lia are not interested in serving customers... they lie/ manipulate the truth to sell you what they want to not what you really want. Chris was hostile, aggressive and tried to be intimidating and bullying. The experience with Chris is very negative and should be avoided.
Key Hyundai in Manchester / Vernon is a superior shopping experience or Balise Hyundai in Springfield is an Excellent choice as well. We ended up buying from Balise even though we work in Hartford and Lia would have been more convenient for service. I would not even trust them to change the oil in any vehicle I own now.

Great Experiance!
My wife and I recently purchased a used vehicleat Lia Hyundai in Hartford. From start to finish we were treated like old friends! We will defianetly go back when we are in need of another vehicle and would highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market to purchase a vehicle!

Bad Customer Service
I purchased a new Sonata. After a week, I noticed a 1"" scratch on the trunk, even though the car had been garaged the entire time,. I showed it to the dealer salesman and manager but they didn`t want to hear it...said ""we wouldn`t deliver a car like that""...well, they did, but wouldn`t own up to it. Then to top it off, they wanted to sell me a $10 tube of touch up paint. I`ll never go back.

Horrible Mechanics
My husband went in to have his clutch replaced less then 2 years ago. Within a week of getting his car back from Hyundai, his clutch was acting up again, when he took it back, they told him that it was the way my husband shifts and that is why it sounds funny. My husband doesn`t like confrontation and learned to deal with the problem until his clutch got worse recently. This past Sunday he took his car into an indepe... view morendent mechanic in Hartford, a friend of the family. My husband was complaining that his clutch was giving him problems again. To everyone`s supprise, my husband`s car had it`s original STOCK clutch. Hyundai in Hartford charged him over $800 to ""replace"" a clutch that was never replaced in the first place. Now my husband had to pay an additional $700 to have the family friend replace it because my husband doesn`t trust Hyundai. Be careful, they`ll charge you for an incomplete job!
