I thought this family owed bus...
I thought this family owed business was a great place to buy a car however, I was proven WRONG. The owner Ann never gets back to you if you have a issue, employees are not very friendly if you have a issue with your car that needs to be fixed, never provided me with a car maintenance sheet to tell me what was fixed BEFORE PICKING UP THE CAR FOR THE FIRST TIME, when i asked when was the last time service was done on t... view morehe car their reply would be: WE DON`T HAVE THE INFORMATION THE HURRICANE WASH ALL OF OUR PAPER WORK AWAY (WHAT EVER !!!!), If you bring your car to get it fixed please be prepared to wait for three to four hours with no Tv to watch or coffee, employees does not consult with the costumer about the bill before fixing your car they just expect that you have the money or Bristol motor works have no problem robbing you for your money, last but not least if you decided to get the owner a gift for Xmas please don`t do it!!!! because she doesn`t know now to say thank you very rude if you ask me!!!!!
PS February 2012 I was at this horrible place fixing my car and the state showed up forced the business to closed down immediately. Bristol motor works employees are so unprofessional its ridiculous. Cant expect anything better from Ann the owner who`s nephew told me she hated him since 5yrs old. Contacting the attorney general immediately!!!!!!!

The most dishonest and unethic...
The most dishonest and unethical place I have ever been to before. It`s funny when you read the other reviews they all say the same thing "lied" "hung up on you", broke my car and lied about it and were totally rude when I tried to address it. I will never go back and only wish I read these reviews first.

Saw an ad for a used car for sale at Bristol Motor Works. They claimed that the timing belt and water pump had been changed and offered a 6,000 or 6 mo. warranty. The price seemed in the ballpark. I called to verify what was said in the ad and then took the 1 hour trip to go see the car.
When we arrived and asked again abouut the work that had been done, we were told that a whole bunch of things had been done, but... view more that Bristol Motor Works does not supply any written confirmation of any work done on a car they list for sale -- that this was their policy.
When a timing belt is replaced, it is customary for the mechanic to place a sticker on the hood compartment indicating that this work was done, by whom, and when. No such sticker was there.
We were told "You just have to trust us."
When we asked about the warranty, we were told that it has a $250.00 deductible. That`s not a warranty, that`s an insurance policy.
The car had 3 different types of tires on it with one of the tires having a cracked sidewall, one of them bald and another brand new.
The bottom line on Bristol Motor Works is that they will lie to your face, they do not back up what they say in writing and they will say whatever they need to say to get you to buy the car.
STAY FAR AWAY FROM BRISTOL MOTOR WORKS!
The only good thing here is that the Internet let`s consumers like me and you share how bad these people are with everyone.
I hope this reveiw saves someone from wasting their time, money and safety on a Bristol Motor Works purchased car.

HORRIBLE PLACE!!
HORRIBE PLACE!! We tried to get our daughters VW fixed before she went to college. They lied to us, hung up on us, fought with us and each other, and ended up charging us a ton of money without fully fixing the car. Ive never had such a bad experience with a repair shop!!!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE
Brought in my VW. They told me they fixed my car and just 2 weeks later the same problem acted up. When I contacted them they were extremely rude. I was hung up on numerous times. Upon having the car looked at by another mechanic, it turns out they never fixed the car. They lied and ripped me off. AVOID THIS PLACE!!

Thanks so much for great service & Hospitality!
It has been three months now since we purchased our son`s BMW 330XI We serched for BMW for awhile now & saw that you guys were a german specialty shop here in town so we took a chance & I have to say it was the easiest transaction we have ever made! I must say that you guys made us feel like we were part of your family-yes including Lucy! The lady that said the owner sicked her dog at them-well take that with a grai... view moren of salt because she is the mellowist dog I have met. You made our puchasing experience a breeze. We will be seeing you for our next son`s car in a few months. After returing today for service on our Z3 it makes us more reassuring that your guys stand by your word & dedication to Bristol! Thanks again..Mr & Mrs. Millkarzs & family. We will bring the coffee next time!

stear clear
bristol motor work will rip you off! places like this are the reason used car sales has a bad name, and people like them are the reason that god doesnt talk to us anymore. they glued my 03 jetta together so it would look nice on the test drive, and it started falling apart on the way home. when i confronted them about the severe repairs it needed they hung up on me. now im stuck with over a thousand dollars worth ... view moreof repairs on a car i bought a week ago. they are scoundrels, do not patronize this establishment

Avoid!
Bought a Suburban, seemed like a great car. They claimed it came with a new transmission, and made promises about fixing various things on it before I picked it up. When I picked it up the things needing fixing had NOT been attended to, but since they were relatively minor (dings in windshield, taillight broken) I took the car anyway. They DID fix the taillight, but the dings in the windshield were never addressed, a... view morend to be fair I didn`t feel like continuously harping on them about it.
My main complaint - here it is 6 months later and my ""NEW"" transmission just quit working. $2,000 down the drain.
