Only good things to say
I have been going here for years and can`t recommend them highly enough - they are honest and competent, excellent customer service. If I had a complaint it was that they didn`t work on Saturdays but I think that has changed.

Fantastic service, fair prices
Gibson Auto Service Center has had my business for a number of years now and I`ve had exceptional service every step of the way. Their prices are fair and they do quality work. When I didn`t understand a service that was needed, they took the time to explain what needed to happen and why. When something with the car doesn`t feel or sound right, I bring it in and they have never failed diagnosing or fixing my car. ... view more I have trusted them to check out the car before every big trip and for every service, and I will continue to do so for a long time.

honest, reliable, and knows his stuff
I have known and gone to mike gibson`s for many years. They have been in business for over 40 yrs. They are honest, reliable and stand by thier work. I really doubt Mr. Gibson over charged or broke a part like the previous reviews stated. He always greets me with a smile and explains all of the steps to my car may need. I always know up front what it is going to cost. Sometimes
he checks things and doesn`t even char... view morege. You would be doing yourself a injustice if you did not go and experience first hand customer service and the best mecahanic in the area.

Better off going to the Dealer
Just got the third bill from these guys and I`m not happy at all. They charged 3 hours for a 1 hr job and will claim `that`s what it says in the book`
Sorry if you spend an hour on the car, you charge an hour labor, anything else is taking advantage of the customer. Quoting what the dealer will charge is BS.
On top of that they had the cheek to call us out for poor maintenance because the oil was so low ... view moreand needed `3 quarts` (according to them, who knows if that`s true)
I take care of my cars and the thing is this one started an oil leak after they serviced it last time. I paid them to fix this leak which by coincidence happened after taking it to them. Then they turn around and make it look like our fault the car needed oil. This is a very good modern DOHC engine and DOES NOT burn oil to that degree.
Also they use cheap recon parts and then make up a price what the dealer would charge you for new to make themselves look like a good deal. I researched this and they were making up numbers.
I know this is common practice with a lot of garages, but I am disappointed with these guys. They come across all helpful and nice on the phone, but are overcharging for the service and parts you are getting.
I know car mechanics and am no dummy, the reason I take mine in for some jobs is because I don`t have a lift or the right equipment to make it as easy as it is for a shop to do the work, and they are very local.
Will not be taking any of my vehicles to these guys again, I recommend you go somewhere else.

Horrible place
I took my care there for brakes and they gave me back my car with a cracked axel. Of course, they had nothing to do with it (or so they said). I believe that they swapped my axel with one of their crappy ones. In addition, they scratched my after market rims against the curb. Take it from me, don`t take your car there!!!
