I took my daughters Mazda Protege in for tires. When I picked it up the emergency brake was inoperable. Glovers claimed it was bad when I brought it in however I know that to be untrue.

Dishonest
Recently, my mother purchased 4 new tires and a 4 wheel alignment. In 3 months and 10,000 miles, the outer edges were bald and so was most of the tire.
Upon returning, she was told that it was simply because they were "cheap" tires. Granted they were the least expensive tires which do not last as long, but there is no tire made that lasts only 10,000 miles. In addition, every mechanic knows that edge wear is an a... view morelignment issue.
The alignment was not inspected but he sure offered to sell her some more tires!
I took the car to my local shop, and all wheels were out of alignment by a full degree and they said it looked like it was never touched. The car rides better than it ever has and the tires are wearing fine, including the 2 new ones purchased from Glover with the exception of slight edge wear over a month.
I contacted them about this to no avail and only denial. They said they aligned it, but obviously not. The evidence was clear and so was the message to never allow them to work on her car again.
The shop used to be very reputable and boasts about being in business for 40 years. However, it was sold with rights to the name around 9 years ago to new management which does not make it the same. Unfortunately, honesty cannot be purchased.
