This is a 2011 Scion tC that I had originally bought brand new from the Dealership in November 2010. Since then I had driven mostly on the Interstate. It has always been taken care mechanically, there are however some damage done to the exterior body. (Pictures will show the dents/scratches that has happened.)

It has had the Touch Screen GPS/Bluetooth professionally installed by the Dealership. It includes Hands-Free Bluetooth with the mic mounted right behind the Steering Wheel. Allows for easy use to pair your phone with the vehicle to allow to make calls as well as receive calls. The GPS also allows for a seamless interface with Point of Interests as well as the ability to save around 100 personal locations with build in voice commands. Due to the touch screen interface, it allows the ability to watch DVD's as well as plug in a gaming system to play on the screen. AV plugs are located in the Glove Box to save the clutter. Has a build in AUX cord port as well as USB separately.

The last time the vehicle had been driven was the 24th of December 2011 due to some personal issues. Since then, it has been garage kept and only been turned on the keep the fluids fresh through the system. Although the State Inspection has expired for Virginia, it has zero problems with passing.

The damage consists of only exterior areas and will be described below:

-Front Driver tire is a little bald on the outside.
-All four wheels/rims have scratches and are shown in the pictures provided.
-Due to an upset Girlfriend, the vehicle has a key scratch along the driver door side.
-The Front Driver Side Bumper has white paint pressed onto it. Easily buffed out, no damage done to the bumper due to it.
-The Passenger Side of the vehicle has scuffs/dents due to being run off the road into a rail, nothing deep and easily repaired.
-Driver Side door has a minor dent due to opening it too far.

Feel free to ask any questions about the vehicle or to request specific pictures, it is perfectly okay to come by and take a look at it personally should you live close enough. Pending the finish of the Auction, the vehicle MUST be picked up unless delivery has been discussed prior to the end of the Auction. I do not mind having the vehicle transferred to you after the Auction pending the fees are paid by you.

Scion pondering move upmarket?

Mon, 01 Apr 2013

Scion is simultaneously celebrating its ten-year anniversary with the 10 Series models and trying to figure out what to do with itself over the next ten years. Once a go-to consideration for young, first-time buyers who wanted something cool and different, in 2013 it has a model everyone is still talking about in the FR-S, a model few are still talking about in the iQ, and three models in between in the tC, xB and xD that make everyone wonder, "What happened?"
Automotive News spoke to Toyota's North American CEO, Jim Lentz - he was the VP in charge of Scion when it launched - about the options, and Lentz said one of them could be a move upmarket to challenge the established luxury brands that are moving downmarket. "There's going to be a big need in the $25,000 range for a fun-to-drive, nice-looking, value-oriented product," he said, and the FR-S, which starts at $25,255, could provide the platform for Scion to climb up a notch or two in price and perception. An idea like this could conceivably work in tandem with a proposal to move entry-level Scion products over to the Toyota brand - but remember, this is all just ideas on a whiteboard at the moment.
As opposed to an "entry-luxury fighter," the brand could swing back to the other option that was considered when it was formed, directly challenging the Korean makes that have usurped its cachet with first-time buyers. Lentz said Scion could go either way, and the tone of the piece seems to indicate that the final direction is still a ways away from being resolved.

This Irishman really likes the Toyota GT86

Sun, 10 Feb 2013

Okay, okay - by this point in time just liking the Toyota GT86 (Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ, what have you) doesn't make you special. Even if you're a sort of funny sounding, funny looking Irishman, who probably isn't the most seasoned car reviewer ever, digging the GT86 is not news.
However, if, when you choose to publish your ten-minute-long review, you include exclamatory phrases about your own pubic hair, Ozzy Osborne's drug habit and "gentleman vegetable stuff," well sir, then you'll have our attention.
Don't give up on this video, available down below, after the first couple of minutes, we implore you. The silver-tongued Irishman doesn't really get warmed up until four minutes in, or so. Believe us, it's worth the wait.
