Well, I hate to do this but I'm going to have to put my truck up for sale. Got a good deal on a 2009 and had to make the move. Tough to give up the 6 Speed and Lariat, but time marches on.

I bought this truck with about 72k on it. Woman owned from NH. Since then I have used it to haul my boat back and forth to the ramp about 7-8 weekends/year. The ramp is 5 miles from my house. The rest of the mileage is back and forth to work for me and highway mileage traveling to North Carolina.

I have ALL receipts since then including FUEL - I fill up at a high volume Shell Truck Stop across from my office. I keep the receipt and box top for all oil changes. In the last year I put two new front brake calipers and pads on it and 6 new tires - Bridgetone TA. Both batteries were replaced in the last 12 months as well. Roughly 2 years ago I got a grinding noise from the front of the truck. I assumed it was the wheel bearings so I replaced the entire hub (only then did I realize the mud flap was rubbing on tight turns). Rear Calipers and pads were also changed over the last couple years, but the exact timing escapes me.

Truck has Gooseneck Hitch in Bed. Prior owner had installed a Banks Chip, Wastegate and Exhaust Brake, as well as Airbags. The bags are broken from age so I can not tell you whether or not the Airbag system is salvageable - I have never messed with it.

Pillar gauges monitor Boost and EGT's.

Tekonsha Brake Controller

Pushbutton 4X4 - I lock the hubs manually and do not assume the Vaccum Hubs work.

XM Radio is built into the truck.

The Front of the Truck bed is bowed from where the prior owner forgot to set the brake and the truck slid into the trailer.

No Accidents, but the dually fenders do have small cracks on the backsides of them.

Oasis Report available upon request. Truck is always warmed up before driven anywhere; I start it in the morning and then go in and get dressed for work and get my son dressed.

Couple small problems - Right Front Parking Lamp is out. Small leak from fuel bowl drain. Guzzle has a repair kit for $20 bucks. Pop in lights in the dually fenders are starting to pop out - these can be bought on ebay for next to nothing. Wheels have corrosion on them.

No smoke on start up unless it is VERY cold (teens or low 20's). Then it is just a one second puff of blue smoke.

$15k - obo. '

Subaru Legacy pitted against Roadkill project cars

Fri, 05 Sep 2014

There's an evergreen debate among auto enthusiasts about whether they would prefer to have the latest and greatest car of today or a certified classic from yesteryear. What if you had to further define that, though, and the choice was between a brand new 2015 Subaru Legacy or a turbocharged Datsun 240Z with a hatch that wouldn't close? Roadkill aimed to find out that and more in one of its best videos to date.
According to the hosts, Subaru came to them, handed over some money and challenged Roadkill's project cars against its latest Legacy. The result is every bit as good (or better) than any automotive-themed show you could find on television.
Things start simple with a figure-eight race in a rodeo arena with the Subaru taking on Roadkill's 1968 Ford Ranchero, originally built for ice racing. From there the Legacy races a 1968 Dodge Charger with no windows around and off-road rally stage. Finally, the Subie goes head-to-head against the Rotsun, the aforementioned turbocharged 240Z, through an abandoned neighborhood. Plus, there's a bonus drag race challenging them all.

2015 Ford F-150 to get up to 26 miles per gallon

Fri, Nov 21 2014

The 2015 Ford F-150 is one of the most important US vehicle debuts in years, be it in the pickup segment or the entire marketplace. While we've already known about the truck's engine lineup, its payload ratings and we've even learned a bit about how it drives, the truck's EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings have remained a mystery. The wait is finally over. Ford has announced numbers that put the latest F-150 as the mileage leader among gasoline-powered, full-size pickups in the US, with its new 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 topping the charts. Starting with the entry-level naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6, the rear-wheel-drive F-150 is rated at 18-miles-per-gallon city, 25-mpg highway and 20-mpg combined. Opting for four-wheel drive drops those numbers slightly to 17/23/19. If fuel economy is your absolute priority, then upgrading to the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 is the hot ticket. It improves things further to 19/26/22 in rear-wheel drive trim or 18/23/20 with four-wheel drive. The carryover naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 is rated at 15/22/18 as a 4X2 or 15/21/17 as a 4X4. Finally, the flagship 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 tops the range in available torque and offers buyers 17/24/20 ratings with rear-wheel drive or 17/23/19 with four-wheel drive. "We are delivering with the toughest, smartest and most capable F-150 ever – and now the highest EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings of any full-size gas-powered pickup in America," said Raj Nair, Ford group vice president, Global Product Development, in the company's announcement. Depending on engine and drivetrain configuration, Ford contends that the 2.7-liter EcoBoost's top rating puts fuel economy up between 5 and 29 percent over the current generation, thanks in large part to the truck's lighter aluminum construction. Obviously, these are EPA estimates, and your mileage may vary – ours has. Recently, Autoblog team members have had real difficulty even approximating government mpg estimates on many EcoBoost models, including the new F-150. Scroll down to read Ford's full announcement, including comparisons to rival models.

The next-generation wearable will be your car

Fri, Jan 8 2016

This year's CES has had a heavy emphasis on the class of device known as the "wearable" – think about the Apple Watch, or Fitbit, if that's helpful. These devices usually piggyback off of a smartphone's hardware or some other data connection and utilize various onboard sensors and feedback devices to interact with the wearer. In the case of the Fitbit, it's health tracking through sensors that monitor your pulse and movement; for the Apple Watch and similar devices, it's all that and some more. Manufacturers seem to be developing a consensus that vehicles should be taking on some of a wearable's functionality. As evidenced by Volvo's newly announced tie-up with the Microsoft Band 2 fitness tracking wearable, car manufacturers are starting to explore how wearable devices will help drivers. The On Call app brings voice commands, spoken into the Band 2, into the mix. It'll allow you to pass an address from your smartphone's agenda right to your Volvo's nav system, or to preheat your car. Eventually, Volvo would like your car to learn things about your routines, and communicate back to you – or even, improvise to help you wake up earlier to avoid that traffic that might make you late. Do you need to buy a device, like the $249 Band 2, and always wear it to have these sorts of interactions with your car? Despite the emphasis on wearables, CES 2016 has also given us a glimmer of a vehicle future that cuts out the wearable middleman entirely. Take Audi's new Fit Driver project. The goal is to reduce driver stress levels, prevent driver fatigue, and provide a relaxing interior environment by adjusting cabin elements like seat massage, climate control, and even the interior lighting. While it focuses on a wearable device to monitor heart rate and skin temperature, the Audi itself will use on-board sensors to examine driving style and breathing rate as well as external conditions – the weather, traffic, that sort of thing. Could the seats measure skin temperature? Could the seatbelt measure heart rate? Seems like Audi might not need the wearable at all – the car's already doing most of the work. Whether there's a device on a driver's wrist or not, manufacturers seem to be developing a consensus that vehicles should be taking on some of a wearable's functionality.
