Here we have a 1968 Fairlane / Torino / GT that is stunning in every way! This car always attracts a crowd, and performs flawlessly. The interior is in like new condition as well as the top, boot, and works smooth. The owner is very devoted to the maintenance of his cars, and you could drive this one coast to coast. Check out the engine area, nicely detailed! The lines are as they should be and the body is very straight. I have known this car for about eight years and would trust it to be driven anywhere. This Ford only has 77,000 miles on it and the trans (c4) was rebuilt 6,000 miles ago. This is a numbers matching car. Remember, there aren't many out there in this condition! Amelia Island 2013: 50 years of the Ferrari-slaying Ford GT40
Wed, 13 Mar 2013Originally developed with the sole purpose of being a Ferrari rival to compete at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Ford GT40 became a prominent racing machine in the 1960s in both Europe and the US. Not wanting to leave such an important car out of the fun, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance also took time out from its other celebrations to recognize the 50-year anniversary of the GT40.
Over its short lifespan, the GT40 was offered in a handful of configurations, but the classic short-tailed (Mk I and Mk II) bodystyles were well represented... especially in Gulf livery. James Glickenhaus (of Ferrari P4/5 fame) had his bright yellow Mk IV in the field, and there were several others in this bodystyle, including one that has seen plenty of time on the track judging by its chipped-up nose.
As a fitting statement for the car's lengthy racing history, GT40 Chassis Number 1075 won this year's Concours de Sport award. This car took home the checkered flag at Le Mans in 1968 and 1969, and racked up a total of six wins in just 11 races.
Top Gear pits Hennessey VelociRaptor vs. Range Rover Sport SVR

While the video might lack the show's charismatic hosts, this is an opportunity to see a drag race between a Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR with 550 horsepower and a Hennessey VelociRaptor with 623 hp. The duel between these two supercharged V8s definitely sounds great. Both rugged models start at the line growling angrily at each other like dogs ready for a fight. You have to watch the clip to see whether the more powerful VelociRaptor feeds on the SVR, though. Consumer Reports explains its disdain for infotainment
Thu, 20 Mar 2014One of the perks of reviewing all manner of cars and trucks is that we're exposed to all the different infotainment systems. Whether Cadillac's CUE, Chrysler's UConnect, BMW's iDrive or MyFord Touch, we sample each and every infotainment system on the market.
Not surprisingly, some are better than others. It seems consumers have come to a similar consensus, with Consumer Reports claiming that Ford and Lincoln, Cadillac and Honda offer the worst user infotainment experiences. Not surprisingly, you won't find much argument among the Autoblog staff.
