I have an original 1969 Chevy pickup for sale. The truck is a family owned, two owner, father-son truck. It has never been wrecked and the body panels line up great with minimal rust for a 1969 and 1 repaint in the early 90's. It is a CST with all the chrome. It has the 350 V8 engine and automatic transmission that runs good with no problems. The truck has power steering, but no power brakes. The radiator, starter, master cylinder and new dual exhaust were installed last fall. I have installed a battery, new plugs, new gas and bled the brakes and topped off all the fluids to get the truck running and driving. The tires have 90% tread on them and are a matching set. The truck has not been lowered, so it still rides and drives good. It has factory coil-over shocks on the rear. I guess that was Chevrolets overload spring/shock deal in 1969. This truck fires up the 1st time everytime, does not rattle and only smokes if you let it sit for a week or so without starting it. I guess the valve seals may need replacing. It has the original air cleaner and valve covers with the original decals still in place. This truck runs and drives good as is and it will be sold as is. The body panels are in good shape for an original, uncut 1969 Chevy with no major rust issues. The bedside and bed floor are the worst of the rust on the truck. The floorboards and rocker panels are solid. The cab corners could be fixed, but would probably need replacing if you were to restore the truck. The truck could be driven as is, made into a shop truck, rat rod or it would be a perfect candidate for restoration. The reserve is low for a shortbed, fleetside Chevy in this condition. Take a look at the pics, nothing is hidden on this truck. Its an original, uncut classic. Feel free to ask anything. I check my emails daily and I will respond promptly. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. The truck is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. The truck is sold as is, where is with no warrany implied. It can be driven or hauled/towed, its totally up to the winning bidder.

GM cutting production at two plants
Thu, Feb 26 2015General Motors is continuing to adjust to excess supply of some of its brands' models. To get production more in line with the vehicles' actual demand, the automotive giant is idling two of its factories in North America in the coming months. The Orion Assembly plant is going to be down from March 9-13, according to an anonymous plant worker and another insider speaking to Automotive News. The factory builds the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano, but there are plenty of both models sitting on dealer lots, including 216 days worth of Sonics, according to AN. The factory already had two idle periods announced to reduce the excess. In addition, downtime is scheduled at GM's "Flex" line at the Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, plant from April 13-17. This affects supply of the Chevrolet Camaro, Impala, Buick Regal and Cadillac XTS. Among them, the automotive giant has the largest supply of Regals ready for dealers with 213 days worth of them, according to AN. The future for the whole Oshawa factory is cloudy in general, though. There are rumors that it could close entirely in the future because the Camaro is leaving and the Regal and XTS might not last much longer than 2017. The Canadian government and the labor union there intend to put up a fight, though. Weekly Recap: Revisting the BBC report that ended Jeremy Clarkson's Top Gear run
Sat, Mar 28 2015Jeremy Clarkson's long run as a Top Gear host has come to an end, and the reason is clear: His physical assault on one of the show's producers crossed a line, and the government-owned BBC couldn't tolerate it. The incident between Clarkson and Top Gear producer Oisin Tymon was initially described as a "fracas," and Clarkson was suspended. But his popularity and widespread support – even British Prime Minister David Cameron weighed in – suggested that the controversial Clarkson might be given yet another chance. The BBC put this to rest Wednesday when it sacked Clarkson and revealed the findings of its investigation. The report spelled out how Clarkson struck Tymon on the patio of a North Yorkshire (UK) hotel, leaving him with a bloodied, swollen lip. It was severe enough that the producer sought medical treatment. During and after the attack, Clarkson shouted expletives at Tymon and threatened to fire him. The noise carried into the hotel's dining room and even to a bedroom. Local police investigated the incident, but Tymon isn't pressing charges. The huge audience numbers, Clarkson's popularity and the high-octane excitement of Top Gear all melted away in the eyes of BBC director-general Tony Hall, who saw an attacker and a victim. "For me a line has been crossed," he said in a statement. "There cannot be one rule for one and one rule for another dictated by either rank, or public relations and commercial considerations." In that moment, Clarkson was the bad guy, though he was actually the one who reported it to the network and made repeated attempts to apologize to Tymon. He's also urged the media to leave the producer alone. Hall voiced regret in the statement that announced Clarkson's contract would not be renewed, but the BBC decided to move on. Rumors are swirling about possible replacements for Clarkson. The network says it wants to continue Top Gear in 2016 and is looking to air the rest of this season's episodes. Despite the controversy, the show has a global audience of 350 million viewers and is one of the BBC's most valuable properties. It's unclear what Clarkson's co-hosts, James May and Richard Hammond, will do, as their contracts were also reportedly up to be renewed.
