Here’s your chance to own that 40 thousand dollar luxury SUV for less than a new economy compact. This truck has led a much pampered life since new. It was adult owned and driven and has spent the majority of its life in the garage and been waxed on a semiannual basis. The exterior is in perfect shape and free and clear of rust. There is one ding in the passengers’ front fender as shown in the pictures. This is a 10 year old SUV that shows like a 2 year old jewel. The grey green metallic paint shines as it did when it rolled off of the assembly line. As for the sand beige leather interior it’s perfect other than a few scratches on the door pull which they all have. The leather was conditioned when the truck was detailed semiannually. There is no rips or imperfections in any of the seats. The rear cargo area has been protected by custom cut carpet panels and shows no signs of any wear. The headliner is perfect. This is a smoke free truck and it shows. The digital display in the cluster is missing a few pixels but again they all have this problem. With the 290 horsepower 4.4 liter V/8 engine this thing runs nice and powerful. The SUV gets great gas mileage with the 5 speed automatic transmission. BMW sent 65 percent of the torque to the rear wheels to make this SUV have the car like feel while driving but have the benefits of being all wheel drive. So BMW actually wanted buyers to think of this truck as a SAV(sports activity vehicle) instead of a SUV(sports utility vehicle), they ride that nice. This truck has absolutely zero mechanical flaws, drive it anywhere. OK now for the important stuff. Buyer must make a 500 dollar deposit within 24 hours of auctions end through PayPal with the remainder due within 7 days. NO exceptions. BMW i8 official images leak ahead of Frankfurt [w/video]

The new BMW i8 plug-in electric supercar isn't set to make its official debut until September 10, when it will glide onto the Frankfurt Motor Show stage amidst a sea of flash photography. Of course, that isn't so true in today's world, where debuts are always preceded (often carefully) by "leaks."
Take this trio of images of the BMW i8 - there's just enough of the exterior on display in the profile shot to draw attention, without showing important styling points that might be present on the front or back of the car. The same goes for the video attached below. The cabin shot is cool, but isn't particularly earth-shattering when it comes to BMW interiors. As for the skeletal shot, we can see the 1.5-liter, turbocharged engine positioned between the rear axles, the battery pack found in what would be the transmission tunnel and the front-mounted electric motors.

BMW recalls 6,073 units of i3 and Minis to replace airbag

BMW is replacing the passenger's side front airbag module on 6,073 vehicles in the US because of a supplier's manufacturing issue with the part. The affected models include the: 2014-2015 i3; 2014-2016 Mini Hardtop 2 Door Cooper and Cooper S; 2015-2016 Hardtop 2 Door John Cooper Works; and 2015-2016 Hardtop 4 Door Cooper and Cooper S. Because the airbag components aren't made correctly, they might not deploy with enough restraint in a low-speed collision. BMW isn't aware of any accidents or injuries from the problem, but this is still obviously a safety concern. According to company spokesperson David Buchko to Autoblog, customers will be notified about the issue by mail in November. As always, dealers will perform the replacements at no cost to owners. 2013 BMW R1200GS and HP4 duel at Circuito de Almeria

The 2013 BMW HP4 is the track-ready version of the manufacturer's already mighty S1000RR, which puts the bike at the very tip top of the two-wheeled BMW food chain. The R1200GS, meanwhile, is intended to be a somewhat more utilitarian machine. Capable of conveying both rider and gear over vast distances and uncertain terrain, the big-boy GS is the Swiss army knife to the HP4's rapier. Or at least that's what we've always been led to believe. BMW recently rolled out some footage during a press launch that showed the R1200GS is actually no slouch when it comes time to sling around a road course.
The company threw both bikes on Spain's Circuito de Almeria for a little sparring match, and miraculously, the HP4 didn't just up and walk away from the R1200GS. From from it. Instead, the two stay tightly matched through most of the course before something surprising happens. We won't spoil the ending for you. Is it possible the rider on the HP4 still had some in reserve? Sure, but from the sound and look of things, neither bike was giving an inch. Check out all the video action below for yourself.
