1993 Saab 900 Turbo convertible 5spd
The car is in fantastic condition. Solid car no rot problems. I have included pics of before i got it painted. I has lots of new parts including Steering rack, head gasket, tires,ball joints, slave cylinder, clutch. 9000 aero seats and wheels 2 brand new yokohama parada's on the front because i couldn't get the Goodyear F1 that were on the back(that are in good shape). New convertible top a couple years ago. Still in nice shape. Clarion cd with usb port. Infinity cabin speakers Red Box computer and 3.5 fuel pressure regulator. SaabRally differential cover Car cover New battery Last week. INCLUDED WITH THE CAR 10 pcs spg body kit and oem saab triple gauge pod with 3 gauges and a brand new front mount intercooler and piping a used 5spd transmission The trans was rebuilt about 3k miles ago. Recently the car started popping out of second on deceleration. I haven't looked that much into it. I think it is going to be a bad shift fork. It bucked hard enough to break a engine mount on the highway one day when a fitting blew out on the intake manifold. I have fixed the fitting and engine mount. But haven't gotten into 2nd gear issue. It still drives good as long as you hold it into second. Also the Air conditioning was removed a couple years ago, and there is a small exhaust leak. 2014 Saab 9-3 officially relaunched, reborn
Thu, 05 Dec 2013Saab is officially building cars again. Production of the 9-3 Sedan has kicked back off in Trollhättan, Sweden, and the first example is reportedly earmarked for the company's museum. Initial sales are targeted for China, although Swedish customers will also be able to buy new Saabs built in their country right away, too. It isn't immediately clear if the model will be available in the rest of Europe, let alone in North America.
The initial run of 9-3s will be powered by a 220-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder before an electric model joins the range next year. There are no Biopower or XWD all-wheel-drive models presently in production. And while the lion's share of the 2014 9-3 is a carryover from the pre-bankruptcy car, there are some changes, including a new anti-whiplash seat system and a "greater number of non-GM parts," reports SaabsUnited.
"I am very proud of the dedication and the focus that NEVS management and employees have demonstrated over the year that has passed since we became owners of the plant in Trollhättan, and who have made this possible. Swedish expertise along with Japanese technology around batteries and new lightweight materials and our Chinese group's focus on green technology is our strength for the future," said Kai Johan Jiang, the founder of Saab's parent company, National Electric Vehicle Sweden.

With the Saab brand now dormant and little hope for a true renaissance, save for one that comes in name only, Saab's future must lie in the celebration of great cars of its past. And what better way to celebrate the wonderful Saab 900 than to chop it in half and turn it into a freaking limousine?
Claimed to have been built by a Denver area Saab specialist, this five-speed manual 900 Turbo is listed with a Buy It Now of $8,500. It's actually surprisingly well turned-out, too, with a pretty decent interior that sticks to real Saab seats, avoiding the crushed-velvet or button-festooned lounge chair look. While this seems rather spendy for a well-used limousine, good luck finding another one like it. And besides, that's a lot less than the $12,500 asking price from back in 2010.
Saab's Victor Muller wanted to nix Griffin, return to airplane emblem
Tue, 09 Oct 2012According to Just-Auto.com Victor Muller wasn't a fan of the Saab Griffin logo. The executive was quoted as saying he wanted to "abolish" the Griffin logo and return to the airplane emblem. Muller made it clear that if he'd had his way, the propeller would have replaced the Griffin across the Saab lineup long ago.
National Electric Vehicle Sweden, the company that recently bought Saab, was forced to abandon the Griffin logo due to the fact that the emblem is still used by truck manufacturer Scania. The manufacturer is reportedly concerned about potential Chinese counterfeiting - NEVS is owned by Youngman, a Chinese automaker - though it's unclear how that relationship would lead to illegal copies.
Either way, NEVS has said the loss of the Griffin logo isn't that important to the company so long as it can continue to build on the Saab name. Muller, meanwhile, said he wishes NEVS luck in the company's electric-vehicle endeavor, but that he doesn't understand its new business model.
