2009 Pontiac Vibe Gt Wagon 4-door 2.4l on 2040-cars
Sandy Hook, Virginia, United States
Check out this great looking Pontiac Vibe GT. (aka Toyota Matrix)
Showing only 45K miles, it is very well equipped with Power windows,
locks, moonroof, leather, freezing cold A/C, key-less entry, and cruise control. It also has the 7 speaker Monsoon 320-watt system, with
MP3 compatibility and XM satellite tuner. It even has a nifty built in 115 Volt receptacle! Its powered
by a 158HP four cylinder engine with a 5sp Automatic transmission. Also has Electronic stability
control and four-wheel disc
brakes with anti-lock. The interior is cavernous for a small car especially with the 60/40 split rear seats that can fold flat to yield
nearly 50 cubic feet of cargo space. Safety wise it has Side thorax air bags for front occupants, along with head-curtain side air bags covering front and rear
occupants, plus active head restraints to help reduce whiplash injuries
in the event of a rear-end crash.
This car is extremely fun to drive, has no problem zipping in and out of traffic and gets great gas mileage. (I consistently get 28 - 32 MPG) It is in showroom condition in and out and is garage kept. Exterior is straight as an arrow with no previous accidents. (only thing worth mentioning is that its missing 1 of the Pontiac center caps on the wheels) Interior is just as clean. Comes from non smoking pet free home. Look at the owner reviews of this car online and you'll see its a great vehicle that will last. For those that don't know, its basically a Toyota Matrix with Pontiac sheet metal. All the internals especially the Engine and transmission are Toyota so you can count on the reliability. I really hate to sell it but I have decided to minimize how many vehicles I have. Title in hand. General Lee takes on Bandit T/A in classic Hollywood car showdown [w/poll]
Fri, 26 Aug 2011You don't have to be born in the 1960s or 1970s to be able to recognize the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard and the Pontiac Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit. These old school four-wheeled stars seem to transcend demographics thanks to the miles of film that show the orange 1969 Dodge Charger and the jet-black 1977 Pontiac Trans Am performing seemingly impossible stunts.
The folks at Hot Rod magazine are obviously hip to this fact, and they put together a fun video in tribute of the instantly recognizable duo. Hit the jump to watch on as Sam Young and James Smith replace Bo Duke and The Bandit for a bit of dirt-road shenanigans in a pair of otherwise well cared for classics. We're not so sure we'd call it the best chase scene ever, but it sure looks like a lot of fun.
More importantly, which of these two cars would you rather own? Have your say in our poll below.
Junkyard Gem: 2001 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi
Sat, Jun 19 2021The General's Pontiac Division sold Bonnevilles from 1958 through 2005, which turned out to be well over half of the marque's existence. Named after the Bonneville Salt Flats, some Bonnevilles were huge but pretty quick, others were slow-motion land yachts, and some were nearly indistinguishable from their Buick and Oldsmobile brethren. The final generation, sold for the 2000 through 2005 model years, were among the quickest and most distinctive-looking Bonnevilles ever built, but they arrived in showrooms at a time when the clock was ticking for the division's very survival. Today's Junkyard Gem is one of those cars, an '01 with the hot-rod SSEi package. The Bonneville SSEi first appeared in the 1992 model year, just a year after the Buick Park Avenue Ultra was the first of many GM cars to get the 3.8-liter Buick V6 with an Eaton supercharger bolted on top. Production of the Bonneville SSEi continued through the 2003 model year, after which the GXP version and its Cadillac Northstar V8 took over. The 2001 version of this engine made 240 horsepower, good for plenty of torque-steery fun. Could you get this car with a manual transmission? What do you think? Some cursory research indicates that 1970 was the last model year for a three-pedal Bonneville, and even those cars must be incredibly rare. This one looks to have been in nice shape when it arrived here, with the original manuals still in the glovebox. By 2006, the Bonneville was gone; four years later, Pontiac was gone. GM expands ignition switch recall to over 1.3 million cars amid climbing death toll
Tue, 25 Feb 2014
588,000 Saturn Sky, Saturn Ion, Pontiac Solstice and Chevy HHR models join the 778,000 cars already being recalled.
General Motors has announced a massive expansion of a 778,000-unit recall we told you about two weeks ago, doubling not only the total number of cars affected but expanding the recall beyond Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models previously mentioned. The recall originally centered around ignition switches that could slip out of the "run" position if jostled or if any weight was applied to the key in the cylinder.
