Hot Rod City Las Vegas Nevada Dealer license # 40339, this Vehicle Vin # 4Y82N424222 - I bought this cool Lincoln from an elderly man in Vegas who owned it for 20+ years and hated to see it go.. .only 127,000+ original well cared for miles... looks to be original everything and has a great Patina.... the paint is wearing a little thin from so many washes and waxes over the decades but still looks cool ,... drive it as is (my choice) ... or Rat Rod it up or turn it into a real Showcar.. up to you... I just spent a couple of hundred dollars tuning it up and it purrs like a kitten now... runs great and smooth and quiet.. all the windows and door locks work well , even the radio and power attenna... again the lether seats look to be original and in overall nice condition for their age, of course the driver's seat has a tear from years of getting in and out.. besides the paint getting thin, the only other things me or my mechanic can find wrong with it are ... sometimes if it does not start right away, you just need to nudge the shifter more into P for Park... the power attenna has a new switch under the dash, the original switch does not control it anymore.. besides any very minor nicks or scrapes, there is a very small ding up on the passenger side front fender, but hard to notice... This car has the original old school freon AC system and does not currently work, is not charged and not sure if if it leaks or not, the hoses look old,so it may, but my mechanic says the compressor, the most expensive part, appears to be working, so that is good.. re the AC, you may want to upgrade it to a new modern ac system or just drive it as is and put all those big windows down ... anyway, this is a cool looking , great running old Continental.. its very straight and there does not seem to be any rust, if so its minor... and it comes with a car cover... get Cruising !!!!
Please note, I am a boutique classic car dealer in Nevada, so any Nevada residents who purchase this car to register in Nevada will need to pay a 8.1 % Nevada sales tax and a $99 documentation fee... but I have taken this into consideration in the great-value pricing of this car.
Come to Vegas to party and drive home an incredible vehicle that is quite a lot of class, fun and quality for the money ! Best, Steve in Las Vegas cell 213 500 8619

Weekly Recap: Revisting the BBC report that ended Jeremy Clarkson's Top Gear run
Sat, Mar 28 2015Jeremy Clarkson's long run as a Top Gear host has come to an end, and the reason is clear: His physical assault on one of the show's producers crossed a line, and the government-owned BBC couldn't tolerate it. The incident between Clarkson and Top Gear producer Oisin Tymon was initially described as a "fracas," and Clarkson was suspended. But his popularity and widespread support – even British Prime Minister David Cameron weighed in – suggested that the controversial Clarkson might be given yet another chance. The BBC put this to rest Wednesday when it sacked Clarkson and revealed the findings of its investigation. The report spelled out how Clarkson struck Tymon on the patio of a North Yorkshire (UK) hotel, leaving him with a bloodied, swollen lip. It was severe enough that the producer sought medical treatment. During and after the attack, Clarkson shouted expletives at Tymon and threatened to fire him. The noise carried into the hotel's dining room and even to a bedroom. Local police investigated the incident, but Tymon isn't pressing charges. The huge audience numbers, Clarkson's popularity and the high-octane excitement of Top Gear all melted away in the eyes of BBC director-general Tony Hall, who saw an attacker and a victim. "For me a line has been crossed," he said in a statement. "There cannot be one rule for one and one rule for another dictated by either rank, or public relations and commercial considerations." In that moment, Clarkson was the bad guy, though he was actually the one who reported it to the network and made repeated attempts to apologize to Tymon. He's also urged the media to leave the producer alone. Hall voiced regret in the statement that announced Clarkson's contract would not be renewed, but the BBC decided to move on. Rumors are swirling about possible replacements for Clarkson. The network says it wants to continue Top Gear in 2016 and is looking to air the rest of this season's episodes. Despite the controversy, the show has a global audience of 350 million viewers and is one of the BBC's most valuable properties. It's unclear what Clarkson's co-hosts, James May and Richard Hammond, will do, as their contracts were also reportedly up to be renewed. Automakers tussle over owners of 'orphan' makes
Thu, 10 May 2012When General Motors put down several of its brands in recent years, it also let loose thousands of brand-loyal customers who will eventually need another car.
R.L. Polk Associates estimates there are more than 18 million cars from 16 discontinued makes on the road today. Those "orphan owners" have sales-hungry competitors seeing dollar signs. GM is offering Saturn owners $1,000 cash toward a Chevy Cruze, Cadillac CTS or a GMC Acadia. Ford is giving its Mercury lease customers a chance to get out of their contracts with no early-termination penalty and offering to waive six remaining payments if they drive off in a Ford or Lincoln.
Edmunds.com research shows the efforts are paying off somewhat for GM, with 39 percent of Pontiac owners, 37 percent of Hummer owners and 31 percent of Saturn owners taking delivery of another GM-branded vehicle. But that leaves as much as 69 percent of owners going elsewhere. Ford, Honda and Toyota seem to be attracting many former GM owners.
Dodge Dart falls short of Consumer Reports Recommended, Caddy XTS and Lincoln MKS, too
Thu, 22 Nov 2012The Dodge Dart, Cadillac XTS and Lincoln MKS all failed to earn a "Recommended" rating from Consumer Reports. When it came to the compact Dart, the organization's testers thought the vehicle offered a quiet cabin, solid-feeling chassis and nimble suspension, but the new model ultimately fell short of the coveted rating due to powertrain issues. The institute's reviewers found the base 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine to be underpowered and noted "drivability issues" when the available turbocharged 1.4-liter four was paired with the optional dual-clutch transmission (some of our editors disliked it paired with the six-speed manual). CR also dinged the latter powerplant for sounding "raspy." For what it's worth, we think the forced-induction engine offers an excellent and playful exhaust note, but that's just us.
As for the XTS, CR lauded the car for its luxurious cabin, but the vehicle's experience was dulled by its finicky CUE infotainment interface. Overall, the big Cadillac scored much higher than its cross-town rival from Lincoln. While testers found the American luxury sedan to offer a quiet ride and quality fit and finish, they felt the MKS delivered a "cramped driving position, ungainly handling, uncomposed ride, and limited visibility." Ouch. At the end of the day, both cars fell short of rivals from Japan, Germany and Korea. Check out the full press release below with more details, along with CR's musings on the Chevrolet Spark and Lexus ES.
