1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A military The Jeep was originally a CJ2A civilian model now restored as a military jeep. It was used regularly upto last year for shows and parades. The Jeep is currently insured and registered and parade ready! My father in law, a veteran of the Korean War drove it. He is now 86 and has difficulty hopping in and out of the Jeep. He wants to let it go, hopefully to a veteran or collector. The Jeep comes with everything pictured. The tow bar which makes it easy to transport, hooks up to any car with a trailer hitch. There's no need to hire out a transport company if you live out of state. And YES, the immatation Brownining model 1919 30 cal. Machine gun with ammo and two ammo boxes are included. This is not live ammo. The canvas top which is two years old is in excellent condition. The Jeep has the original 4 cylinder engine, "Go Devil" L4-134 cu in 60 hp motor. 3 speed T-90 trans, Dana axels, and shows 36K on the odometer, unknown if original mileage. Canadians build Jeep Wrangler out of cans for charity
Thu, Jul 2 2015The Jeep Wrangler can do a lot of things. It can traverse most any terrain, take you to work, the kids to school, get you and your friends to the surf on time, and so on. Turns out it can also feed the hungry – or at least this one can. And by can, we mean actual cans of food. To celebrate Canada Day (which was Wednesday), Jeep recreated a Wrangler out of more than 4,500 cans of food. The project was undertaken together with Canstruction Inc, a charity that works to fight hunger and poverty, serve the community, and promote science, technology, engineering, and math. The full-scale replica took a team of teenagers a good 12 hours to build. It's being displayed at Vancouver's waterfront Canada Place during the festivities, after which it will be dismantled to provide 3,120 meals for the hungry through the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society. This is the second such project we've seen FCA Canada undertake together with Canstruction. Last time it was a Dodge Grand Caravan created to celebrate the minivan's 30th anniversary. It was built out of 30,000 cans and displayed in downtown Toronto before being distributed as 2,000 food baskets through the Daily Bread Food Bank. Next time maybe we'll see a Viper or Challenger made out of cans on display in Montreal during the Canadian Grand Prix weekend and donated to the Old Brewery Mission, which this writer knows first-hand does good work to feed Montrealers in need. Chrysler, Nissan looking into claim that their cars are industry's most hackable
Sun, 10 Aug 2014A pair of cyber security experts have awarded the ignominious title of most hackable vehicles on American roads to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, 2014 Infiniti Q50 and 2015 Cadillac Escalade.
Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek are set to release a report at the Black Hat hacking conference in Las Vegas, Automotive News reports. The two men found the Jeep, Caddy and Q50 were easiest to hack based not on actual tests with the vehicles, but a detailed analysis of systems like Bluetooth and wireless internet access - basically, anything that'd allow a hacker to remotely gain access to the vehicle's systems.
Considering this lack of hands-on testing, the pair acknowledge that "most hackable" could be a relative term - they point out that the vehicles may actually be quite secure.

There are many reasons why an XJ-generation (or really any other) Jeep Cherokee doesn't make for a good drift machine. It's tall, it's four-wheel-drive... it's a Jeep, okay? But someone apparently forgot to tell that to this guy. Uploaded to LiveLeak, this video shows some poor schmuck who took his Cherokee to a (mostly) empty parking lot and tried to drift it. Needless to say, things didn't go quite as he planned, but they probably went exactly as you might have expected. Thankfully, nobody appears to have been hurt. Or at least, we assume so, since the guy apparently survived to put the video up online.
