Jaguar Vanden Plas 1995 Totally original & excellent condition with low miles! This is a beautiful condition first of the model run Jaguar Vanden Plas finished in classic British Racing Green over biscuit tan Connolly hide leather with off-white seat piping. The waistrail is finished with a hand-painted fine-line in Sherwood green. The colour combination is quintessentially Jaguar and looks stunning. This Vanden Plas is a 2 owner from new and now showing some
93,000* odd miles. It ranks "off the chart" on Autocheck at 64 on a scale of 36-62 (see full report in pix below). The Vanden Plas is the ultimate of the XJ series (X-300) and represents the top of the line in luxury for Jaguar in its year. It is indeed a very well looked after example that is totally original in presentation. It scores very The Vanden Plas was distinguished from its siblings by the individual styled seats, full leather interior (including door arm-rests, map-pockets console, etc), unique burl-walnut wood and teak fine lines on the dash and door cappings. It has rear seat picnic tables (also with teak in-lays), full length console to the rear, additional chrome, additional courtesy lights, all of which are unique fitments to the Vanden Plas series. The interior of this example is in excellent condition with the burl walnut looking beautiful without any fading or damage. The clear lacquer finish on the wood has only a few hairline marks on the front passenger door and some hardly noticeable on the console (see pictures) but is otherwise excellent. The Connolly hide leather seats are factory condition soft and supple with no stains, wear marks or tears. The headlining drooped at the rear window but has been reaffixed and there are no cracks in the dash or rear parcel shelf. The steering wheel is perfect with no wear. The interior truly is stunning and is very clean and true throughout. The paint is in very nice with only minor imperfections and small marks. The most noticeable are closely photographed and in the picture link. It is very shiny and consistent and presents perfectly for driver use. For driver purposes, on a scale out of 10, I would rate the paint as an easy 8-9. Mechanically the car is very sound with brand new thin whitewall and correct size 225/60/16 tyres mounted on later model Vanden Plas V12 wheels. The car drives smooth, strong and quietly. Recent maintenance included front bushings, brakes and general service. There are no warning lights on the dash and all is good to go. The A/C blows cold and heater nice and toasty. Every single instrument, feature and function are in working condition. This is an immaculate Jaguar Vanden Plas with good miles and makes for an excellent everyday or weekend driver. It far exceeds average condition examples and comfortably rates as a virtual 10 out of 10 driver condition which earns it regular compliments. Please note, this is my regular daily driver so miles will vary at time of delivery. ~~ This Vanden Plas Jaguar
is in stunning original condition and makes for a wonderful everyday driver at
a relatively affordable price. ~~ Please see additional photos at the link below. Click HERE to see additional photos! ~~oo00oo~~ **PLEASE
read auction terms and conditions below BEFORE bidding.** ~~oo00oo~~ This Jaguar is part of a private collection. Although licensed and
bonded, I am not a main-stream retail car dealer or broker; I am a professional

which I take seriously. I take pride in my cars and have fun in collecting and
restoring them. However, auctions are not a game so when you place a bid or
offer, and you are the winning bidder, please understand you have entered a
binding contract. You cannot bid and win the auction and expect not to meet the
terms and conditions. Bidding and/or winning does not mean you are expecting me
to “hold” the car until you have the opportunity to inspect it. Any inspection
contemplated should be undertaken BEFORE you bid or make an offer and I openly
welcome any potential buyer to come and personally inspect the car. Once you
bid or make an offer, you are doing so to buy WITHOUT conditions. Your bid can
not be subject to anything. A $2000.00 deposit (non-refundable) is required
within 24 hours of the close of the auction and payable by PayPal. The balance
of funds are required within 7 days of the close of the auction and must be

important part of this purchase contract and so, if all the funds are not

without notice. If there has been any deposit or other part payments received
and I elect to terminate the contract, I reserve the right to keep any such

Being a classic car in excess of 10 years of age, in most PLEASE; IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ABIDE BY THESE TERMS, CONTACT ME
BEFORE YOU CONTEMPLATE DOING SO AS, RESPECTFULLY, THERE CAN BE NO EXCEPTIONS. I
am sorry if these terms seem harsh but there seem to be some very unrealistic
buyers out there - fortunately, only few of these people exist but those that
do can make life difficult, so it appears EVERYTHING needs to spelled out. Very
simply put, this is an old car being offered for sale. It is not new and is
subject to the perils of age. Further, Jaguars are not without nuances,
idiosyncrasies and they are renown for a host of design issues which can make
them not inexpensive to maintain. So, please respect the terms and conditions
when you bid. ~~oo00oo~~ |

Tata to shed 1,100 Jaguar Land Rover jobs after coronavirus hits earnings
Mon, Jun 15 2020BENGALURU — India's Tata Motors Ltd expects to shed about 1,100 temporary jobs at Jaguar Land Rover after it raised the cost-cutting target at its luxury unit by 1 billion pounds ($1.26 billion) to ride out the disruptions caused by the coronavirus outbreak. Tata Motors expects to save 5 billion pounds in costs by March 2021 at its Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) unit, the Indian automaker's Chief Financial Officer PB Balaji said on Monday, adding 3.5 billion pounds of the savings had already been achieved. It will also reduce capital expenditure at JLR to 2.5 billion pounds for the current fiscal year, from the more than 3 billion pounds it has spent annually in previous years. "Conserving cash and prioritizing capital expenditure, and targeting investment spending to the right areas is our focus," Balaji told reporters, after the company posted a fourth quarter loss. We anticipate that up to 1,100 agency employees will be affected, a JLR spokeswoman said in a separate statement. Tata Motors is reviewing all its businesses and would consider exiting those that do not add strategic value, as part of a broader effort to save 60 billion rupees ($789 million) in its domestic business in the fiscal year to 2021. The automaker on Monday posted a consolidated fourth quarter net loss of 98.94 billion rupees, as coronavirus lockdowns across its markets ravaged sales, including at JLR. Total revenue from operations fell 27.7% to 624.93 billion rupees in the quarter, which ended March 31. JLR, which contributes the bulk of Tata Motors' revenues, reported a pre-tax loss of 501 million pounds for the period after it took a hit of 800 million pounds because of the novel coronavirus, Balaji said. He said there were signs sales were recovering in China, one of JLR's biggest markets, as well as in the United States and in Europe, with strong orders for Land Rover's sport-utility vehicle Defender and Range Rover's Evoque. JLR's boss Ralf Speth, who has led the company since 2010, will step down from his role at the end of his contract term in September. Jaguar Land Rover exploring 3D HUD and infotainment projections
Wed, Aug 21 2019With its most recent technology research, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is exploring the use of 3D projections for a world before and/or after autonomous vehicles come to fruition. In collaboration with the United Kingdom's University of Cambridge, JLR has developed concepts for a 3D head-up display that shows information on the road ahead and a system that projects personalized 3D infotainment for vehicle passengers. As of right now, hundreds of production vehicles are equipped with two-dimensional head-up displays, some color, others black and white. Using various techniques and different technologies, manufacturers display information in a flat image in front of a driver. Some might find it distracting or unhelpful to have this in the driver's line of sight, and JLR might have found a solution. Rather than wedge the information in between the person and the view ahead, a 3D system that uses augmented reality could display the info onto the road in front of the driver. JLR thinks the system could project navigation directions, safety alerts such as lane departure, hazard detection or other bits typically found in a car's infotainment or instrument cluster. Some might find this to be even more distracting that 2D head-up displays, but to each his or her own. While the 3D head-up display is something that could be used right now, if it were released and passed legal, part two of JLR's 3D technology research is imagined for a life where truly autonomous vehicles are skating across the country. Using head- and eye-tracking technology, the system could lock into the position of numerous people in a vehicle and give each of them a personalized 3D projection "screen." This could be used to track a trip, look up points of interest, or even watch movies. JLR points out this could be used during ride-sharing without bothering others in the vehicle. The work with the Center for Advanced Photonics and Electronics at Cambridge is still in development for now, but it's only a matter of time before 3D tech makes it into cars in some degree.
2016 Jaguar F-Type S Coupe Quick Spin [w/video]
Thu, May 21 2015The Jaguar F-Type – as either a coupe or a convertible – has proved easy to fall in love with. It's one of the best looking cars in the world, period. And it has been endowed since launch with lovely engine options on either end of the range, athletic rear-drive handling, and a tuneful exhaust that sets one's heart to thumping. So how does Jaguar improve on such a winning formula? The answer that enthusiasts have hoped for is that Jag offer its sports machine with a traditional manual gearbox. And for the 2016 model year, those hopes have been fulfilled. Always wiling to take one for the team, I flew out to New York state to drive the 2016 F-Type S Coupe, fitted with the new manual transmission. (The trip included time in the F-Type R AWD that you'll hear more about later, and a long stint in the Range Rover Sport SVR, so I wasn't exactly shy about requesting the gig.) The short version is that the F and the 6MT get along like special sauce, lettuce, and cheese. But for the detailed blow-by-blow follow along. Driving Notes So, how is the manual? That's the primary force animating this review, after all. The short answers are: great, fine, just dandy. The middleweight clutch (not too light, not too firm) is easy to operate at speed or in heavy traffic. The gearlever offers positive, smooth action, not particularly mechanical, with throws that are of average length. The closest analogous experience I've had is with BMW manuals, though the Jag's clutch is slicker. But the biggest win for the stick shift in the F-Type is spiritual (if you'll excuse my being a bit romantic). This is after all the heir to the E-Type legend, a stirring rear-drive coupe (or convertible) that looks like wet sex and goes like heaving hell. The eight-speed automatic will continue to offer a more modern driving experience, but the manual just feels right with the car. You're going to have to prefer that kind of purity over outright speed to get the manual, too. Jag with sell you a hand-shaker with the base, 340-horsepower F-Type or the 380-horse F-Type S, but not with the V8 or new-for-'16 AWD variants. The supercharged V6 in the S is far from disappointing. Keep the sport exhaust active and you're likely to be the best sounding thing on the road that day, unless you run up on a coffee klatch of Ferraris.
