Thanks for viewing my auction. You are looking at my extremely rare FORD van or Falcon. This van is in great shape for it age and is mechanically very sound. I personally have driven this van many times and recently took my kids on a trip to the bike park. It really has tons of room inside . This classic is just full of opportunity to do many things with . The under side of the van is in very good shape., Anyone that knows these vans know that they are very prone to rust and many of the vans are rotted beyond belief. This van has some rust in the rockers and mid body mount. the front right floor at your feet has a hole as well . There are various places at the rear that has rust as well. I restore vehicle and this is a vey easy vehicle to fix. The van runs and drives great . it has the 3 speed trans , 170 cid engine / Recently all the brakes have been rebuilt from front to back. The carb is brand new and the engine runs great. it does have a exhaust manifold leak. all the seats are intact and one is a folding seat . the glass is all original stamped with the ford emblem. the poop out windows work great . The windows roll up and down great as well and all the door latches and handles. the vent windows operate as well. The factory gas tank was very dirty and a fuel cell was installed. there is a small round hole in the back for gas fill inside the van. The dash is original with the working gauges and the floor heater still all there that functions. This would be a excellent candidate to restore or just do a few things to and drive as is. Autoblog joins Elon Musk and Danica Patrick in accepting ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Tue, 19 Aug 2014Unless you've been living in an off-the-grid cabin in the woods for the last couple of weeks or abstain entirely from social media activities, you've probably seen someone you know dump a bucket of ice and water over their own head recently. While the origins of the so-called Ice Bucket Challenge are shrouded in a history typical of Internet memes, its effectiveness in raising money and awareness for the ALS Association has been astonishing.
Celebrities from the worlds of entertainment, sports, technology and more have generated untold millions of video views in support of the organization that is helping patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, better known as Lou Gehrig's Disease), and generated a much needed influx of cash, as well. Recent reports have some $15.6M raised in the last two weeks.

Wed, 21 Aug 2013Australia's Motoring has put together a little video on two of the great performance vehicles available down under - the Holden VF Commodore HSV GTS and the Ford Falcon FPV GT R-Spec. And while both FPV and the Falcon might be on their way out, there's still plenty of time for a little head-to-head comparison between the two.
The cars aren't all that well evenly matched, though. The Ford boasts a 5.0-liter, supercharged V8, which the Aussies measure out at 449 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. The HSV, though, with its Corvette-derived, 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 is just too powerful - 576 hp and 545 lb-ft of torque.
Predictably, it doesn't end too well for the Ford. As the guys from Motoring point out, the new VF Commodore is just too new and too good, with its extra power and its adaptive dampers (GM's excellent MagnaRide). Interestingly, Motoring did point out that the Holden's electric steering is better than the Ford's hydraulic steering, which is a lot like a Porsche purist saying they prefer water-cooled engines to air cooled.
Ford to update Sync, MyFord Touch software... again
Wed, 07 Aug 2013Ford hasn't had the best luck with its MyFord Touch and Sync systems, as the finicky infotainment system has been subject to a critical whooping while customer issues have helped sink Ford's IQS scores. The automaker has made a concerted effort, though, to try and fix MyFord Touch. And while the results have been mixed, The Blue Oval is hoping its latest free update, set to go live next week, will make things better.
According to a report from The Detroit News, the new system promises streamlined voice commands with fewer levels between opening query and actual result. Ford is also addressing where certain options are selected on the touchscreen. Rather than working one of the four quadrants on the homescreen, users will be able to select anywhere within the quadrant to make adjustments.
While it might only be a band-aid for MFT's problems, the fact that Ford is still trying to improve it is a promising sign. It's going to take more than just this update to address the system's ills, though.
