This is a 1995 F-350 7.3 Powerstroke turbo diesel, 4x4, 5 speed, 4:10 geared dually. This truck was sold as a single rear wheel and converted to a flatbed dually by the Weatherford Truck Co. in Weatherford Tx. They also fitted the custom bumper to the front.
This truck does have 260K miles but has had thousands of dollars invested this year to make it more powerful, better on fuel, and most importantly, more reliable. It has never let us down since we have owned it.
It has cold AC, power windows, Alpine CD/iPod receiver, Alpine V12 amp, 12" sub in truck box, Pioneer mids & highs, 5 panel mirror, Lariat leather seats from an 03, tow hitch and 5th wheel/ gooseneck hookup. The bed lights and stop lights have been upgraded to brighter and longer lasting LED lights along with a powerful backup spotlight. The rear windows have 35% tint and there is a custom gun rack above the sun visors.
Four wheel drive en-gauges smooth with no noise or clunks. It tracks down the highway perfect, doesn't pull to any direction and brakes perfect.
Also note this is a Texas truck so there is zero rust. The hood had some clear coat peeling so it was Plasti-dipped. Overall the body looks good with no major damage. It does have some dings associated with being a 95 truck.
It just had brand new Rosewood Performance stage2 injectors and Duracell batteries installed on 7/12/13.
Between 2/13 and 3/13 the following parts were installed: Motorcraft glow plugs, valve cover gaskets and all related harnesses, crank position sensor, ICP sensor, stage2 Valair organic clutch and single mass flywheel, TS-6 tuner (stock, high idle, 50hp, 75hp, 100hp, 140hp), belt, idler puller and tensioner, inner & outer tie rods/ tie rod ends, shocks, door pins, Prothane bushings, tires, alignment, intake, fuel bowl rebuild, fuel lines, and lift pump.
It also has AutoMeter Pyro and volt gauges on the pillar and Prosport boost and oil temp gauges in a separate gauge pod under the dash. It has a Black Diamond 3" down pipe and straight pipe exhaust.
We get an average of 15.5 mpg and have gotten as good as 18 mpg. This truck is a true work horse in a very rare combo. You won't find another like this. It will tow anything and starts right up no matter what the temp or how long it sits. The only reason we are considering selling it is to accommodate my wife with an automatic transmission.
On Aug-04-13 at 16:25:46 PDT, seller added the following information:Also please note..... When downshifting from 3 to 2 it will "scrape" if shifted to quickly. I assume 2nd synchros will eventually need replaced. There is also some "gear rollover" noise due to the single mass flywheel conversion. These are both very common with the ZF-5 transmission. It is reliable and very drivable.

Check out Ford's fully automated self-parking car [w/video]
Wed, 09 Oct 2013As automakers continue to find uses for autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicle technology, Ford of Europe has announced that it is developing a self-parking system for future use. More advanced than the Active Park Assist already offered in many Ford products, the new Fully Assisted Parking Aid can take full control of the vehicle and can navigate angled and perpendicular parking spots.
While today's Active Park Assist can only parallel park with the driver controlling the gas, brake and gear selection, Fully Assisted Parking Aid can operate steering, gas, brake and gear selection all while making sure the car is properly parked in the intended space. As with APA, the driver pushes a button to make the car look for a proper spot (at speeds of up to 18 miles per hour), and when an adequate space is located, the operator pushes another button (either inside the car or outside via remote control) for the car to park itself - the button must be pressed throughout the whole parking maneuver. Even though Ford says that the car can effect gear selections on its own, the system must still start from Neutral, and the automaker isn't saying whether the car can put itself into Park when done or put itself in Drive when the operator is ready to go.
Ford is also taking the opportunity to announce its new Obstacle Avoidance technology. This automated system is able to detect objects - including pedestrians - in the road, warn drivers of said objects and, if needed, stop and steer automatically to avoid hitting the obstacle. Both systems are still in the prototype phase, so there is no word as to when we could see either on a production vehicle.
An amazing Group B rally car collection heads to auction
Tue, Jan 26 2021Kicking off in 1982, the Group B era spawned some of the most fearsome rally cars of all time. The technologically advanced pioneers of all-wheel drive and turbocharging defined a time when automakers had carte blanche to build machines with unrestricted power, without the burden of homologating a large number of road cars to qualify. The results were sometimes deadly, leading the FIA to ban the class after 1986. Now, a collection of seven Group B monsters is headed across the block in Paris as part of the Artcurial auction, held in partnership with France's famed Retromobile show. The show has been delayed to June, however. There's a 1985 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16, one of 20 Evo II models that helped the company achieve two championships in Group B's short run. This particular example was driven by world champion Timo Salonen at the 1986 Swedish Rally, where it finished seventh due to an oil filter seal failure. Bruno Saby subsequently drove it at the 1986 Tour de Corse and Peugeot entered it at the 1986 Acropolis Rally as well. It's still registered to Peugeot Talbot Sport and represents a French technological achievement, according to Artcurial, comparable to the Concorde or TGV train. Representing Italy are a pair of Lancias in the iconic Martini livery. The Lancia 037 helped Bel Paese clinch its only Group B victory in 1983, after a hard-fought rivalry with Audi. It's one of the few Group B cars that weren't AWD, achieving its success the old-fashioned way, through lightness and superb handling. A second Lancia, a 1986 Delta S4, was the culmination of the Italian firm's later Group B efforts and one of Saby's favorites. While Group B was no more in 1987, the S4 was the predecessor to the Delta Integrale that would dominate WRC from 1987 through 1992. While the collection also includes greats like a Ford RS200, Renault 5 Maxi Turbo, and MG Metro 6R4, the centerpiece is the Audi Quattro Sport S1. The ultimate Group B machine, it introduced all-wheel-drive and turbocharging to the sport. It also employed the wildest use of wings and air dams to generate downforce. Tunable up to 590 horsepower, it could rocket to 60 mph in about three seconds. The car offered for sale came straight from Ingolstadt, a 1988 model built for the Race of Champions of ex-Group B cars. The collection was amassed in the late 80s and early 90s, not long after Group B's dissolution.
2015 Mustang-based Saleen S302 to boast as much as 640 hp
Tue, 23 Sep 2014The Ford Mustang is obviously a famous performance vehicle in its own right, but it often works even better as a platform for the aftermarket to upgrade. With the all-new 2015 model just now hitting the scene, the famous tuners at Saleen are getting their improvements for the new pony car ready for the world. After recently teasing it, the specs for its fresh S302 model are officially here, along with a first look at it in profile.
Of course, the biggest question on everyone's mind is how much power the company can get from the Mustang's V8. With the 2015 V8 model rated at 435 horsepower and 400 pound-feet, Saleen expects to bump the Ford factory numbers slightly to 450 hp and 410 lb-ft in naturally aspirated form, or with the benefit of a supercharger, it will rocket the engine's output figures to 640 hp and 565 lb-ft. No matter which powerplant a buyer chooses, there are a wide variety of available final-drive ratios with a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
Available as either a coupe or convertible forms, Saleen will offer its S302 in three trim levels - White Label, Yellow Label and Black Label. The White Label is the only naturally aspirated one of the bunch, but it still benefits from upgrades like a new exhaust, limited-slip differential, improved suspension, heat extractor hood and rear wing.
