Just a very good utility truck.  Engine is a reman. and starts and runs like a new one.(We have no records on when it was installed).  Transmission acts perfect.  Drives much nicer than it looks or should.  We bought it to replace our 77 F250 Utility, but just found a 79 supercab XLT with a bad 460 and an Isuzu powered donor truck.  Don't need this on the farm anymore.

Remember to double click on picture for larger images.  Please read description and look at pictures before you call.  Thanks!

Air conditioning is cold.  Heater is hot and warms up fast.  Wish our Dodges did.

Stahl high quality body.  Needs one left door on box, as shown.  For some reason, rust got to it.  Notice the picture of the right rear (Inside the body).  It has some accident damage that is visible inside the body only.

Stereo, cruise, gauges, lights, all work as they should.  Glass is all good.  Windshield appears to be new.  Seat is typical.  Tires are round, black, and hold air; probably 20% all around.  10 plies.

I'm still driving it,  but it was getting late in the day; so I didn't get some of my junk out of it.  I will.   I will also probably put a few more miles on it that are showing.

Overall this is a very good usable unit,  or do what we were going to do and make it into an XLT and paint it.  It is a fairly easy project, with just a few small dings.  We might have a pickup box available if you want to make it into a good mpg run around pickup.  We haven't scored an XLT seat for it yet, or it would be in it.

Has working CB unit and a Tekonsha brake control and receiver hitch already installed.

(I am adding this note on 12 28 13.  I moved the unit today and the glow plug relay and/or timer seemed to be having some issues.  I had to cycle it several times to get it to start.  Hopefully it is just from getting wet when I washed under the hood.  Anyway any used vehicle has some issues, we just like to pass along what we do know; so it is not a surprise to you.  We want to keep our 100% feedback, even if it costs us a few dollars occasionally.)

$500 down is due within 48 hours of auction end unless prior arrangements have been made.  Remainder is cashiers check or bank wire or?  We will work with you.  Allow cashiers checks 2 weeks to clear our bank.

Add $100 to end of auction price to help pay for Ebay and Paypal charges and our help in loading the unit, if you don't want to drive it home.

Bus pickup in Ogallala, Ne or DIA shuttle pickup in Sterling, Co is $50 cash to driver.

We automatically reject bids from anyone with less than 5 feedback and 100%. So if you are one; we still will let you bid, if you contact us first. We have been the first Ebay purchase for many folks.

We ship worldwide to confirmed addresses with Paypal payment.

As for us: We are Dodson Motors, Inc. at 219 N. Pennsylvania Ave., PO Box 206, in Venango, Nebraska 69168. Our family has been here for since 1886, one year longer than the county or town.......And we helped build that, along with the other local families and friends.

Dodson Motors, Inc. has been a licensed and bonded Nebraska dealer since 1985 and runs a 100% Positive, flawless feedback on Ebay. We do that by telling people what we honestly know about our products.

If you have already checked with Grandpa or the wife, please bid BUT;  keep in mind:  This is a NO RESERVE auction.  Every bid counts and is a contract to purchase.

Ford Ranger-based 7-seat SUV spotted testing

Wed, 29 May 2013

Ford looks to be working on a new SUV version of its global Ranger pickup truck. An early prototype of a seven-passenger SUV based on the Ranger has been spotted testing in Australia, and word has it buyers in the region could expect to see the model in showrooms as soon as 2014, where it could sail under the Endeavour or Everest badges. Ford Australia currently sells the Territory SUV, so there's some chance that this model could be a successor to that throne, as well.
Whatever it's called, the long-roof Ranger will feature a shorter wheelbase and more ground clearance than its pickup twin, giving the machine a bit more off-road functionality. (And here we thought we couldn't want the global Ranger any more than we already do.) While this particular vehicle sports a Territory back half grafted onto a Ranger front end, odds are a public reveal of the finished product could occur as soon as the second half of 2014, making it a 2015 model. Head over to Carsguide.com.au for a closer look.

Feds Probe Power Steering In 938,000 Ford Midsize Cars

Mon, Oct 6 2014

U.S. safety regulators are investigating complaints that the power-assisted steering can suddenly fail on three Ford midsize car models. The probe covers 938,000 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ cars from the 2010 through 2012 model years, as well as the 2010 and 2011 Mercury Milan. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says it has received 508 complaints alleging that the cars lost power-assisted steering, causing increased steering effort. Four complaints say the problem caused crashes, but no injuries were reported. The agency says in documents posted Monday on its website that in many cases, a warning message appeared as the failure happened. Restarting the car corrected the problem in some cases, but the problem returned in others. The agency says it will check the scope and frequency of a problem. It could seek a recall. Ford says it's cooperating with the probe. Shares of Ford Motor Co. rose 6 cents to $14.65 in morning trading Monday. Its shares are down 14 percent over the past year. The next-generation wearable will be your car

Fri, Jan 8 2016

This year's CES has had a heavy emphasis on the class of device known as the "wearable" – think about the Apple Watch, or Fitbit, if that's helpful. These devices usually piggyback off of a smartphone's hardware or some other data connection and utilize various onboard sensors and feedback devices to interact with the wearer. In the case of the Fitbit, it's health tracking through sensors that monitor your pulse and movement; for the Apple Watch and similar devices, it's all that and some more. Manufacturers seem to be developing a consensus that vehicles should be taking on some of a wearable's functionality. As evidenced by Volvo's newly announced tie-up with the Microsoft Band 2 fitness tracking wearable, car manufacturers are starting to explore how wearable devices will help drivers. The On Call app brings voice commands, spoken into the Band 2, into the mix. It'll allow you to pass an address from your smartphone's agenda right to your Volvo's nav system, or to preheat your car. Eventually, Volvo would like your car to learn things about your routines, and communicate back to you – or even, improvise to help you wake up earlier to avoid that traffic that might make you late. Do you need to buy a device, like the $249 Band 2, and always wear it to have these sorts of interactions with your car? Despite the emphasis on wearables, CES 2016 has also given us a glimmer of a vehicle future that cuts out the wearable middleman entirely. Take Audi's new Fit Driver project. The goal is to reduce driver stress levels, prevent driver fatigue, and provide a relaxing interior environment by adjusting cabin elements like seat massage, climate control, and even the interior lighting. While it focuses on a wearable device to monitor heart rate and skin temperature, the Audi itself will use on-board sensors to examine driving style and breathing rate as well as external conditions – the weather, traffic, that sort of thing. Could the seats measure skin temperature? Could the seatbelt measure heart rate? Seems like Audi might not need the wearable at all – the car's already doing most of the work. Whether there's a device on a driver's wrist or not, manufacturers seem to be developing a consensus that vehicles should be taking on some of a wearable's functionality.
