Vehicle Description

Hi everyone and thank you for taking the time to look and hopefully bid on my Bronco.

Here is the basic story on it.

It is a 1978 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT. I have owned it for 4 years. It has many rare options and has nothing wrong with it, AT ALL! It looks, drives, starts, and runs perfect. Everything works as it should, because almost the whole truck is new.

The engine is a 351m New block with about 600 miles.

The transmission is a c6 rebuilt with about 5000 miles.

The transfer case had new seals and bearings put in when the transmission was rebuilt.

The front and rear axles are rebuilt with 5000 miles.    ......................

The entire brake system is brand new with about 5000 miles.

The radiator is brand new.

The whole truck was taken down to bare metal. The only rust that was in the truck was on the hood, bottom of the tailgate, and on the inside bottom of the doors. The hood is a brand new NOS from NPD. The other rusty metal was cut out and new metal welded in. The paint is mirror flat and consists of 3coats of Eastwood company’s rust encapsulation (to prevent rust),3 coats of sealer, 3coats of HOK Base white mixed with micro glass flake and pearl, 5 coats of clear then wet sanded and buffed.

Every piece of trim, emblems, chrome is brand new. The whole interior is new accept for the locking hood latch, sport steering wheel and roll bar(bar was painted white to match). The wheels and tires are brand new as well.

This Bronco was built with pride!!! All work was done by professional shops. I have every receipt for everything I have ever done. I have put over $23,000 in it and can prove it. I also have photo documentation. It has been in 4 car shows. Took home 3, 1st places and a second place trophy. The second place trophy was won at Carlisle All Truck Nationals which is the largest truck show on the east coast. My Bronco is also featured in an issue of Bronco Driver Magazine. It has never been off road since completed in July of 2006. It was built as a show truck not a mud truck! Although it would have no problem with off road.

If you win my Bronco you will without a doubt be very  happy!

Please, I encourage anyone who can come and see it to do so! Call me anytime, just leave a message if I don’t answer. 763-226-0166. Any questions or concerns please contact me. My name is Les.

The only things different now is the lenses are all clear now instead of red and amber(I have all of the colored lenses also. They are also brand new) And it now has new wheels and tires. Again email or call with any Q's. The title is clear and in my hand.

Ford to update Sync, MyFord Touch software... again

Wed, 07 Aug 2013

Ford hasn't had the best luck with its MyFord Touch and Sync systems, as the finicky infotainment system has been subject to a critical whooping while customer issues have helped sink Ford's IQS scores. The automaker has made a concerted effort, though, to try and fix MyFord Touch. And while the results have been mixed, The Blue Oval is hoping its latest free update, set to go live next week, will make things better.
According to a report from The Detroit News, the new system promises streamlined voice commands with fewer levels between opening query and actual result. Ford is also addressing where certain options are selected on the touchscreen. Rather than working one of the four quadrants on the homescreen, users will be able to select anywhere within the quadrant to make adjustments.
While it might only be a band-aid for MFT's problems, the fact that Ford is still trying to improve it is a promising sign. It's going to take more than just this update to address the system's ills, though.

Big electric trucks won't save the planet, says the NYT

Tue, Feb 21 2023

When The New York Times decides that an issue is an issue, be prepared to read about it at length. Rarely will a week passes these days when the esteemed news organization doesn’t examine the realities, myths and alleged benefits and drawbacks of electric vehicles, and even The Atlantic joins in sometimes. That revolution, marked by changes in manufacturing, consumer habits and social “consciousness,” may in fact be upon us. Or it may not. Nonetheless, the newspaper appears committed to presenting to the public these pros and cons. In this recently published article titled, “Just How Good for the Planet Is That Big Electric Pickup Truck?”—wow, thatÂ’s a mouthful — the Times focuses on the “bigness” of the current and pending crop of EVs, and how that impacts or will impact the environment and road safety. This is not what news organizations these days are fond of calling “breaking news.” In October, we pointed to an essay in The Atlantic that covered pretty much the same ground, and focused on the Hummer as one particular villain, In the paper and online on Feb. 18, the Times' Elana Shao observes how “swapping a gas pickup truck for a similar electric one can produce significant emissions savings.” She goes on: “Take the Ford F-150 pickup truck compared with the electric F-150 Lightning. The electric versions are responsible for up to 50 percent less greenhouse gas emissions per mile.” But she right away flips the argument, noting the heavier electric pickup trucks “often require bigger batteries and more electricity to charge, so they end up being responsible for more emissions than other smaller EVs. Taking into consideration the life cycle emissions per mile, they end up just as polluting as some smaller gas-burning cars.” Certainly, itÂ’s been drummed into our heads that electric cars donÂ’t run on air and water but on electricity that costs money, and that the public will be dealing with “the shift toward electric SUVs, pickup trucks and crossover vehicles, with some analysts estimating that SUVs, pickup trucks and vans could make up 78 percent of vehicle sales by 2025." No-brainer alert: Big vehicles cost more to charge. And then thereÂ’s the safety question, which was cogently addressed in the Atlantic story. Here Shao reiterates data documenting the increased risks of injuries and deaths caused by larger, heavier vehicles.

Mustang pinball game will feature art by Ford GT designer

Fri, 13 Dec 2013

To celebrate 50 years of Mustang, Ford and Stern Pinball are collaborating on a new pinball machine that will feature the muscle car in all its glory, Polygon reports. Even better, Camilo Pardo, the guy who designed the Ford GT, will provide art for the table; Tanner Foust, Top Gear USA host and professional driver, will handle narrating duties; and a Sony Music soundtrack spanning five decades will provide the tunes.
"The Mustang is one of the most iconic, American cars ever made... What better way to celebrate 50 years of Mustang than with the launch of the Ford Mustang pinball game?" says Stern Pinball CEO Gary Stern.
Watch the promotional trailer for the upcoming Mustang pinball machine below, which will have to hold you over until pricing and availability are announced in early 2014.
