You are bidding on my sweet 348 spider. I am  the third owner on paper, but actually the 4th owner. The second owner was a dealer who reassigned it. I have owned the car for about 8 years. it is a great car, but time to sell it and get a new toy! The only mechanical problem I have had was I had to replace the hydraulic seals in the throughout bearing.  I had the flywheel rebuilt at the same time. The clutch was in good shape. As far as i know all the paint is original, except the rear bumper cover. I had it repainted due to a scratch. the paint is nice, but not perfect. The car has been drive 40k miles. It has a chip or nick here and there. The front spoiler has been scuffed along the bottom, ect. The interior is nice. the driver seat shows some wear as you can see in the photos.  The car runs and drives great. It recently passed Va state inspection. the top is like new. tires are good. The RF wheel has a small "curbed" mark. The a/c system needs look at. It has never worked very well. At some point, you will need to replace the top frame to window seals. They have twisted and deteriorated a little. All to be expected for a 20 year old car. It has always been garaged kept. You are welcome to come look in person. I am located in winchester va, along interstate 81, about 50 miles west of washington DC. You may call me at 540-974-2110 with any questions

Ryan Tuerck's Ferrari-powered Scion drifts, crashes, fixes, and drifts again

Sat, Sep 23 2017

We were pretty astonished when Ryan Tuerck and Gumout shoved a Ferrari 458 V8 into a Scion FR-S. And as awesome as that fact alone may be, it's even more amazing that it's a fully functional drifter, not just a show car. Tuerck recently took it out to Portland, Ore. to do some sweet drifting on a mountain road. Unfortunately for him and the car, he did something substantially less sweet right off the bat. As you'll see in the video, in just the second corner of the course, Tuerck drives the front corner of the GT4586 right into the dirt cliff on the side of the road. For a moment, it looks like things are all right, but the car starts pulling to the right and he stops the car for repairs. After fixing bits including a thoroughly bent tie-rod, the GT4586 is good as new. We're glad the car wasn't down for long, because the drifting show following the repairs was fantastic. In the video, Tuerck throws the Scion into high-speed, super smoky drifts. And all of it happens to the tune of a shrieking Ferrari V8. It's well worth a few minutes of your time to watch. Ferrari begins releasing official teasers for new supercar

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

Regardless of what it will be called, the successor to the Ferrari Enzo will be unveiled next week in Geneva, and like many other automakers, Ferrari will apparently be giving us a slow strip tease of the all-new hybrid supercar.
We've already seen a couple shadowy images of the car's face and rump, but the new shots - provided courtesy of the Ferrari Facebook page - are starting to show us some detail.
The only problem is that we don't exactly know what details we're looking at. In the shot above, that curvy, red real estate could belong to any number of body panels, while the second new teaser shows the Ferrari prancing horse logo with no indication of where on the car it'jk, s located.

1954 Ferrari 375-Plus sells for record $18 million at Goodwood

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

Among all the action at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this past weekend, Bonhams held its classic car auction, bringing in a massive $38.4 million in sales. And this was undoubtedly the highlight.
Bearing the chassis number 0384 AM, this 1954 Ferrari 375-Plus has a storied racing history, competing that year in such events as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Mille Miglia and the Silverstone endurance race, where the late José Froilán Gonzalez drove it to victory. One of only five made, the 375 Plus packed a 4.9-liter V12 with 330 horsepower under aluminum barchetta bodywork by Pininfarina. It was subsequently owned by Kleenex scion Jim Kimberly, trading hands between owners on both sides of the Atlantic and was the subject of a legal dispute over its ownership four years ago.
With the dispute now resolved and after heated competition between two bidders, the Ferrari finally sold for £10.7 million, equivalent to $18.2 million at today's rates and accounting for nearly half of the day's sales totals. Other highlights included a 1902 De Dietrich 16-HP "Paris-Vienna" Rear-Entrance Tonneau and a a '75 Lamborghini Countach, each of which sold for around $1.7 million - the latter eclipsing the example that Bonhams also recently sold for $1.2 million.
