I bought this truck in Febuary of 2013 with the intention of turning it into a Pro Street. Looks like I will never get to it with the other things I have going on.
Was told by previous owner that the engine was a recent rebuild with less than 500 miles.( original 225 with 410 gears) I drove it home 2 hours and it ran terrible. Distributer was out 1 tooth, valves were all over the place, vacume advance was bad, carb was out of adjustment (new carb) and vacume leaks galore. Fixed all that and now she purrs. Runs and drives but inspection expired last month and I havent had it inspected.
It is an ameteur single stage paint job that looks great from 20 feet but it has small scuffs here and there when you study it. There are 3-4 places that bubbling has started. I have not passed a magnet over it to see if has bondo but I would think that it would have to for a truck this old. It needs some small things at the dash if you want to restore it. Oil pressure light, instrument cluster light, that sort of stuff. Wipers are slow but work. All headlights, break lights etc work. Heater works. The glass is not cracked but the drivers window only rolls half way down. All of the exterior trim is there but some has been painted like the bumpers and the rest needs a good polishing.Passenger door handle needs to be taken apart and corrected. The button does not line up by itself and you have to align it with the whole in the handle to open it.
Shifter on Dash between steering wheel and radio cut out. Pretty Cool.
Thats really all I know about it.
This is pretty solid truck for an unrestored 1968. These things are hard to find. This is not a show truck, But it is a solid old dodge pickup. This would be great to start with for a street rod oran excellant candidate for restoration. Any questions will be answered to the best of my ability.

Chrysler expecting up to 200,000 9-speed transmissions for 3 models this year
Tue, 22 Jan 2013Striving for improved fuel economy, we already knew that Chrysler will begin using a nine-speed automatic transmission in some of its new products this year, but what we haven't known is that volume at which this gearbox will be used. According to Bloomberg, Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has been quoted as saying that the automaker expects to sell close to 200,000 units equipped with this new transmission in 2013. Those gear-rich trannies will be spread out across three models, consisting of the redesigned Chrysler 200, the still-unnamed Jeep Liberty replacement and the Dodge Dart.
This transmission should play a pivotal role in making Chrysler vehicles more competitive in their respective segments. Just for comparison, one of the Dart's key competitors, the Toyota Corolla, still uses a four-speed automatic, and a previous report indicates that the next-generation 200 could get up to 38 miles per gallon on the highway, which is better than most non-hybrid midsize sedans on the market. Marchionne says that the new Jeep model is expected during the second quarter of this year, but there is no word as to when the new 200 or nine-speed Dart will debut, but clearly Dodge would like to have the transmission in its compact yesterday. As for that volume figure, it definitely doesn't seem out of reach since the Dart, Liberty and 200 combined for a total of more than 225,000 units in 2012.
How many more gears can we expect in future cars? Probably not many more, since the CEO of transmission-builder ZF, Stefan Sommer, previously stated that nine speeds was the "natural limit" for transmissions.
Real-life Bravado Banshee from Grand Theft Auto up for sale
Sun, 01 Jun 2014Remember the Bravado Banshee that West Coast Customs built last year to promote Grand Theft Auto V? Given away by GameStop, the woman who won it says she's better off with money to send her two kids to college than with a race car, so now you can steal buy it on eBay.
Based on a 2006 Dodge Viper SRT-10, every exterior panel was redesigned to match the Banshee, and the red embroidered badging inside won't let you forget it. There's still that V10 up front that can make some kind of racket, and a SEMA-worthy stereo filling the entire trunk to make a different kind of racket. Oh, it's also got hood struts that have crapped out, so you'll notice the hood is held up with a wooden rod.
The auction ends on June 5, and you can make an offer or hit the Buy It Now button and hand over $170,000. Might be time to change the outfit and run a few jobs for some quick cash.
Chrysler extends fuel tank warranties on LX cars, NHTSA ends probe
Tue, 18 Feb 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has ended its investigation of 153,817, 5.7-liter and 6.1-liter Hemi V8-powered 2006 Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Dodge Magnum models after reports of stalling. Chrysler has responded by granting a lifetime warranty on the fuel tanks for these vehicles.
NHTSA received 299 reports of engines stalling while the models were stopped or driving at low speeds, and began an investigation. The government agency found that the control valve shutoff float in the V8s' 19-gallon fuel tank could malfunction if the fuel had too high of an ethanol content. In many cases, the valve would break in the open position, allowing the tank to be overfilled, which would then cause the cars to stall. However, there were no accidents reported, and the vehicles could be restarted immediately.
There will not be a recall on these vehicles because, "the condition represents a low risk to motor vehicle safety and is adequately addressed by Chrysler's extended warranty," NHTSA said to The Detroit News.
