This is as an oldie but a goodie...1971 Charger SE...not to bad of condition for its age....no major dents and some rust with some bondo in it....If you can find a passenger front fender for it then you will take out most of the bondo...some minor damage to hood release section where farmer pulled on it with a chain...but hood opens/close...mostly original except the motor as far as I understand it from the farmer...There is rust in floors....some minor on frame but not all the way thru as far as I can see...
It is a non-running vehicle at this time. The engine was replaced with a 400(?) a few years back, does have a 727 automatic, BOTH UNKNOWN CONDITIONS, flat tires, dirty from sitting in the farmers barn where I found it. Alternator is missing. Will need full restoration. High back buckets with center console and automatic on the floor. 80k and some on odometer. Last tagged in 1992. Have title from previous owner dated in 1986 with a mileage of 176917 listed on it. So we know that it is somewhere around 181k miles. Kansas title.
The wiring harness was cut going from firewall to engine when someone replaced the engine. The farmer found another one but it is just lying there in the car. Engine is frozen up but the farmer stated that his grandson had had the engine broke loose about 3 years ago because at that time he had thought he wanted to rebuild it. But it was more than what he knew about cars. So I got it from under the hayloft and filth to find some Mopar Maniac a restorable treasure. It is a barn find and does have some rust but it totally rebuildable. Little work and effort you will have a pure muscle car of your own.
NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!!! Highest Bidder gets it...so bid to win....You must pick it up in person in Southeast Kansas....30 miles northwest out of Joplin, MO....Has to be paid in full and funds clear the bank before removal....There is a $500 non-refundable deposit for holding till pickup...if you are a no show on time then you forfeit your down payment deposit....Will only hold it for 5 days after close of auction then storage fees start at $25 daily....Bid only if you have the funds to pay for this item.... Thanks and have a great day......

Dodge performance trio thrashed on Roadkill
Tue, Apr 14 2015Of all the shows that Motor Trend does, Roadkill is probably the last one we'd pick to evaluate the latest performance automobiles. That's not a slight against David Freiburger or Mike Finnegan, who host the show: they're certified gear-heads and the go-to guys when it comes to hot rods, rat rods and anything grungier than it is shiny. But as exemplary as they are of Detroit muscle, the Charger Hellcat, Challenger Hellcat and Viper are also shiny new pieces of metal. Still, since it will now be sponsoring the show, someone at Dodge apparently thought it would be a good idea to hand Freiburger and Finnegan the keys to the company's top performance models. So to ring the best out of them, they solicited help from some of their colleagues at MT, gained access to a closed-down air strip, devised as many ways as they could to destroy the tires, and proceeded to set about doing exactly that. Watch the grin-inducing mayhem unfold in the half-hour clip above. Related Video:
2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat
Wed, 29 Oct 2014Including all-wheel-drive models, there are ten versions of the 2015 Dodge Charger. The tenth variant - better described as the ten-tenths variant and the topmost model - is this Charger SRT Hellcat.
Superficially, you already know what it is: take the massively powerful Hellcat engine that's Frankensteined into the Dodge Challenger and stitch it into the recently facelifted Charger sedan.
Oh, but that would be superficial knowledge indeed. Russ Ruedisueli, vehicle line executive and head engineer for SRT, claims the Charger Hellcat is, "The industry's most irreverent four-door supercar." We looked up the word "irreverent" in the Oxford dictionaries, and it turns out the word doesn't mean "707 horsepower," nor "650 pound-feet of torque" nor "3.7-second 0-60 time, and seats five adults." It does mean, "Showing a lack of respect for people or things that are generally taken seriously."
BMW tops Consumer Reports 2023 Brand Report Card
Thu, Feb 16 2023Feels like we wrote about Consumer Reports' 2022 Brand Report Car and 10 Top Picks a few weeks ago, but it was last April. So the mag is back with a ranked roster of 32 brands and 10 vehicles in four categories for your debating pleasure. Starting with the brands, last year's top three were Subaru, Mazda and BMW. This year, the Munich crew climbed two spots to win the prize thanks to "Superb road test scores and solid results in CR’s reliability and owner satisfaction surveys." Subaru narrowly fell to second, maintaining its four-year run in the top three. Mini, eighth last year, jumped five spots to get the last step on the podium. The rest of the top 10 were Lexus (up one spot from last year), Honda (down one spot from last year), Toyota (up three), Genesis (up 12), Mazda (down six), Audi (down three) and Kia (up eight). The magazine and testing outfit says its Brand Report Card "[reveals] which automakers are producing the most well-performing, safe, and reliable vehicles based on CRÂ’s independent testing and member surveys," and that "Brands that rise to the top tend to have the most consistent performance across their model lineups." Last year's top 10 had six automakers from Japan, three from Germany (giving Mini credit for England), none from the U.S. or South Korea, and five luxury brands. This year's list counts five makes from Japan, two from Germany because Porsche fell out of the top ten, two from South Korea, still none from the U.S., and four luxury brands. Buick again ranked as the best domestic, dropping to 12th after being 11th last year. The big mover was Lincoln, its 10-place jump up to 16th attributed to better reliability from the Corsair and Nautilus. Tesla's improved overall reliability saw it climb six spots to 17th. Dodge climbed one spot to 15th. Jeep got out of the penalty box in last to come second-to-last. Land Rover fell three places into the penalty spot. CR's top 10 vehicle models The 10 Top Picks list is practically a new list. Only two holdovers made it to 2023, those being the Subaru Forester and Kia Telluride.
