Mechanic filled the system with dye marker and indicated there was a small leak that could be easily repaired (haven't gotten around to having it fixed). Vehicle motor was rebuilt with performance parts prior to my purchase. Not sure of the exact mileage but it has had less than 15,000 miles on it since I bought it in 2006. Truck runs and sounds great."

Here is a 1976 Chevy Cheyenne C10 4x4 SWB that is a hidden gem. This truck would be showroom quality with just a little of your love. The truck has a built 350 V-8 with a 4 bolt main block bored .40 over. Using quality parts and adding some hi-performance items such as Edelbrock aluminum intake, Ceramic coated headers, Accel distributor, and dual exhaust. Very clean under the hood!!! This truck features an automatic transmission (rebuilt less than 15,000 miles ago) factory A/C, power steering, and power brakes. The Drive shaft is practically new and turns a 12 bolt rear end. This truck has been garage kept and the paint job has seen very little sunlight. There is a new spray in bed- liner and all the trucks exterior trim has been replaced. The only things on this truck that could use some TLC are the wheels which have began to rust, but I have been told it will come off with an SOS pad. New tires have less than 500 miles on them. The outside of the truck is in great condition and gets compliments everywhere it goes. The truck runs great, sounds awesome and it is FUN to drive! I am already regretting putting her up for sale but I have my eye on a different hobby (expensive) and sometimes you have to make some sacrifices!

Chevy Bolt will go into production in Michigan in 2016 [UPDATE]

Fri, Feb 6 2015

While nothing official has been announced, it appears that General Motors may actually put the all-electric Chevy Bolt into production next year. That's the rumor that Reuters is reporting, citing two sources at suppliers for the upcoming $30,000 EV (although that $30,000 number bears some scrutiny). This rumor does fit in with earlier comments that the Bolt would arrive on the market in 2017. If it gets built, the Bolt will share more than a similar-sounding name with the Chevy Volt: the EV will be put together in metro Detroit. Reuters says the 200-mile electric car (and an Opel version) will be made in "an underused small-car plant north of Detroit," which means the Orion Township plant. GM could make between 25,000 and 30,000 Bolts a year there, if what the suppliers are saying is true. We have asked GM for a statement on this story and will update it if we hear back. UPDATE: General Motors manager of electrification technology communications, Kevin Kelly, told AutoblogGreen that, "Bolt EV Concept is just that – a concept. We're currently evaluating the vehicle program, but do not have any production announcements to make at this time."

GM cutting production at two plants

Thu, Feb 26 2015

General Motors is continuing to adjust to excess supply of some of its brands' models. To get production more in line with the vehicles' actual demand, the automotive giant is idling two of its factories in North America in the coming months. The Orion Assembly plant is going to be down from March 9-13, according to an anonymous plant worker and another insider speaking to Automotive News. The factory builds the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano, but there are plenty of both models sitting on dealer lots, including 216 days worth of Sonics, according to AN. The factory already had two idle periods announced to reduce the excess. In addition, downtime is scheduled at GM's "Flex" line at the Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, plant from April 13-17. This affects supply of the Chevrolet Camaro, Impala, Buick Regal and Cadillac XTS. Among them, the automotive giant has the largest supply of Regals ready for dealers with 213 days worth of them, according to AN. The future for the whole Oshawa factory is cloudy in general, though. There are rumors that it could close entirely in the future because the Camaro is leaving and the Regal and XTS might not last much longer than 2017. The Canadian government and the labor union there intend to put up a fight, though. Mary Barra reportedly confirms GM's electric pickup truck plans

Tue, Apr 30 2019

According to Motor Authority, CEO Mary Barra confirmed General Motors' intentions to build an electric pickup truck this week. Whether or not it would be an all-new vehicle is unknown. The news comes not even a week after Ford announced a $500 million investment in electric-vehicle startup Rivian. First, electric powertrains were integrated into cars. Then came the crossovers and the SUVs. Naturally, then, the next wave will be pickup trucks. Ford is set to produce an electric F-150, Rivian has the R1T, and now General Motors has reportedly confirmed its plans to introduce a competitor into the field. The article says the topic was brought up in a recent investor call as part of a brief overview of the automaker's electrification strategy. That's where the details end, however, as there is no indication of a timeline, what GM brand would carry the truck, or whether it would be an entirely new product or an adaptation of a current model. The latter seems most likely, which points to the Chevrolet Silverado or the GMC Sierra as possibilities. Chevrolet has been GM's electrification leader this decade with the Bolt and Volt, so an electric Silverado would align well with that messaging and branding. However, an electric pickup would likely be a pricier premium product, which could align it better with GMC. Autoblog has reached out to GM for comment and will update this space when we get a response. Green Rumormill Chevrolet GMC Truck Electric Future Vehicles Mary Barra electric truck chevrolet silverado
