You are bidding on a beautiful blue Volvo XC90 that looks excellent for an older SUV, and can be delivered.  With all wheel drive and heated seats, this Volvo will power you though the winter snow in style.  This Volvo seats 7, however the back 2 rows of seats can be folded down to create a huge cargo space.  The heater is hot, and the a/c is ice cold.  This Volvo has been my daily driver around New York City, and for 200 mile road trips upstate.  It always starts right up, and takes me where I need to go.  It runs very well on the highway, and it feels good driving the safest SUV on the road.  The XC90 grips the road well with traction control and stability control.  The tires and breaks are in good condition.  The beige leather interior is clean and in good condition,   Don't expect perfection, but the paint is still shiny blue, and since the XC90 body style has never changed, it looks like a much newer XC90.  It also comes with the optional 18" alloy wheels, and power fold in side mirrors which is useful for city parking.  Comes with the owner's manual and the remote door unlocker/security alarm.  If you have any questions, please call Nick at 212-470-3554.
The Volvo may be inspected prior to the ending of the auction by appointment by calling 212-470-3554.  The winning bidder must pay a $500 deposit (paypal is ok) the day the auction ends, and the balance is due within 3 days of the auction ending.  Payment may be made by cash or money order.  The winning bidder may pick up the Volvo in Bronx, NY within 3 days of the auction ending, or delivery is available at an additional cost of 75 cents per mile.  A $129 fee will be added onto the winning bid to cover the cost of listing with eBay.  Again, this is a no reserve auction, so the final bidder will be the winning bidder, and the final price will be the winning bid plus $129.  The winning bidder must call 212-470-3554 on the final day of the auction to arrange payment and pickup/delivery.

Volvo C30 Polestar Concept hits the 'Ring

Mon, 05 Aug 2013

It's been over three years since the Volvo C30 Polestar Concept was unveiled, driven by journalists and, as it turns out, lapped around the Nürburgring with Scandinavian Touring Car Championship driver Robert Dahlgren behind the wheel. For whatever reason, the video of the 'Ring track session was only published by the tuning company yesterday. (Another discrepancy: Did Polestar's C30 lose 46 horsepower somewhere along the line? Because the video states that it has 405 hp, while the company's website quotes 451 hp...)
Whatever the case, the tuned Volvo is a beast, much more so than the similar-looking, 250-hp 2013 Volvo C30 Polestar Limited Edition that was sold last year. With 451 hp (sounds better than 405 hp, doesn't it?), all-wheel drive, limited-slip differentials front and rear and Öhlins dampers, the Polestar Concept checks all of the right boxes for us.
For some reason, the video, which you can watch below, seems a bit vanilla to us. Perhaps the overly dramatic music takes away from the action and the beautiful sounds of the turbocharged five-cylinder engine?

Volvo unveils all-new user interface destined for next-gen XC90 [w/video]

Thu, 27 Feb 2014

Take a close look at the cabin of the Volvo Concept Estate shown above. One of the big features on the fancy, brown shooting brake is an all-new user interface called, well, it doesn't really have a name, at least not one Volvo is revealing.
The refreshingly nameless system looks seriously impressive based on the short video that accompany's the system's press release. The jewel of the whole interface is a sizable touchscreen that manages most every in-car function save for a few vital functions like volume, hazard lights and other systems that still demand a more tactile interface.
"The basic idea is to organize controls and information in a perfectly intuitive and user- friendly way. Everything is exactly where you expect it to be, making the drive more enjoyable, efficient, and safe," Thomas Ingenlath, Volvo's Senior Vice President of Design, said in a statement.

Volvo working on ultra-lux four-seat XC90 for China?

Tue, 09 Sep 2014

In China, it's all about being driven. That's why we've seen so many automakers stretch their most popular models to appeal to buyers in the Chinese market. Volvo is certainly no stranger to this, and according to Autocar, the company is already working on a super-lux, four-seat version of its recently launched XC90 crossover.
Volvo won't stretch the XC90 and just increase second-row legroom, however. Instead, the company will reportedly remove both the standard XC90's second and third row benches, and install a duplicate set of front seats in the rear compartment, featuring the same electric adjustment features, including massage. These more luxurious thrones will be placed further back in the vehicle, allowing for "exceptional" legroom, Autocar reports, without needing to stretch the wheelbase.
Mum's the word on when we can expect to see the high-zoot Volvo arrive, though the magazine estimates that it surface later this year.
