At just 139k (Connecticut to New Jersey Highway work commute) a clean bill of health from CarFax, for $7600 or a $erious offer will make you the proud owner of this Volvo dealer serviced 2004 VOLVO XC90 T6 4 DR WGN/SPORT UTILITY 2.9L L6 PFI DOHC 7 PASS AWD!

I have provided pictures and a free copy of the CarFax report to assist on your journey.  Please, keep in mind that my camera lens had gathered dust appear as dark spots on some of the photos.  They should be distinguished by the fact that the spots hold their shape and position across all affected images especially in light colored backgrounds.  Other than that, the car is in terrific condition throughout!  Read on and bid with confidence!

The car is used.  Expect it to have blemishes that keep it from being 100% perfect.

Interior:
The leather seats are slightly worn with no tears, firm yet supple.  The rear passengers' right side cup holder is broken.  All cabin lights are in working order.

Exterior:
There is a small scuff of a ding on the front driver's side panel just behind the wheel. A scuff is present on the black front bumper by the passenger.  Another is a scuff along the passenger top side hind quadrant.  All three are hardly noticeable and do not detract from the overall performance and condition that is otherwise excellent in, out, down, up and all around for its age and usage.  Unlike the typical black, white or countless silver XC90's that dot the road, this car is finished with the highly desirable "Crystal Green Pearl"!  Under various lighting conditions, it scintillates between light green, light blue and silver and shines like new!

Performance:
The Oil was changed at the end of May.  Front and Rear brakes done a year ago.  Emergency brakes works.  The ignition fires up quickly and the AC is cold.  No check engine lights or related problems to report. I have driven this vehicle over 100 miles on and off the highway. The suspension is a glide, the handling is tight, the shifting is flawless.  In addition to what I deem a very big + is, a Comprehensive 120K services (with new timing belt) performed 15 months ago.  Approximately at 90k miles and the transmission was replaced by Volvo of Milford, CT making this XC90's smooth shifting drive train hardly broken into!

Me:
I am not a dealer.  I am a private seller with 100% FB.  As our first potential SUV to own, my wife and kids love it!  However, as you can see, I have made other plans for it...  So for now, with a degree of reluctancy, I am selling this to you with an opportunity to be the 3rd owner!  I list as accurately as possible however I am human and am therefore prone to unintentional oversight and errors.  Furthermore, I do not claim nor do I imply to know the full history of the vehicle. Armed with a clear CarFax report, plenty of questions, an inspection of the car plus a 20 minute spin on the road(s) and coupled with my positive encounter with the selling family, was enough for me to determine this is a sound investment all around - regardless if I sell it or not...

You:
Before you take my word(s), you have the right to inspect it before committing to bid or buy.

This vehicle is offered AS IS in all its glory.

ASK PERTINENT QUESTIONS.
IT PUTS THE "GOOD" IN LUCK!

2021 Volvo XC90 Recharge Road Test Review | I could've had a T8!

Tue, Mar 16 2021

Second thoughts … sometimes even buyerÂ’s remorse. Nagging doubts can follow life's big decisions — and buying a car is a biggie. Was it the right choice? Or as the poet said: "You may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile / And you may ask yourself, 'Well, how did I get here?'" Two years ago, I bought a 2017 Volvo XC90 lease return with 11,000 miles on it. I hadnÂ’t expected to find an XC90 within my budget, but this one was attractively priced because it, A) was a T5, meaning turbo-only; B) had the base Momentum interior; and C) was a third-row delete, which was a turnoff to other car shoppers. Otherwise, it was heavily optioned and seemed like it would serve my family well and keep them safe. And it has. It has lots of room. It drives as well as any medium-large SUV can. The tough leatherette endures the abuse of dogs and kids and the dirt of outdoor activities. The legendary Volvo seats have comforted and supported us, even on a 750-mile day from California to Washington. We've routinely seen highway mileage go past 30 mpg. And the off-road mode was surefooted during last month's nationwide snowfall. The carÂ’s great. And yet, while at the Volvo dealership for complimentary service, sipping the waiting-room coffee and wandering the showroom, you see the cars you could have bought, had you spent more money — a turbo-and-supercharged T6, or the twin-charged-plus-plug-in-hybrid Recharge (previously known by the powertrain's name of T8). And with Volvo's elegant Inscription interiors. Would they have provided a better ownership experience than our secondhand lower-rung model? One doesnÂ’t often get a do-over to answer such questions. But a recent week in a 2021 Volvo XC90 Recharge provided a drive down the nicer road not taken. The differences between a 2017 T5 Momentum and the 2021 Recharge Inscription are many, and also few. They're basically the same car, same dimensions inside and out, same overall feel. Panoramic sunroof, same. Massive cargo hold, same — though because ours lacks the third row, it gains a large secret underfloor storage compartment. Both XC90s have roof rails, but the rails on the new car are flush-mounted versus the '17's raised rails (youÂ’d need different crossbar towers for each).

Volvo S90 Recharge, Lexus RX 350 and spring beer picks | Autoblog Podcast #679

Fri, May 21 2021

In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski. They start off discussing the Volvo S90 Recharge and wonder out loud why the brand's plug-in technology isn't also offered with a wagon body style. They then discuss the Lexus RX350 and why it's likely an ideal premium crossover for a large percentage of buyers. From there, Greg and Jeremy cover some recent news items, including the current state of BMW's coupes and rumors that Toyota's next Land Cruiser will lose its V8 engine in favor of a turbocharged V6. Then it's time to go over some of our current favorite spring beers before turning to the mailbag and spending some listener's money. Everybody's doing flying cars, so why aren't we soaring over traffic already?

Mon, Oct 1 2018

"Where's my flying car?" has been the meme for impending technology that never materializes since before there were memes. And the trough of disillusionment for vehicles that can take to sky continues to nosedive, despite a nonstop fascination with flying cars and a recent rash of announcements about the technology, particularly from traditional automakers. Earlier this month, Toyota applied for an eye-popping patent for a flying car that has wheels with spring-loaded pop-out helicopter rotors. The patent filing says the wheels/rotors would be electrically powered, while in on-land mode the vehicle would have differential steering like tracked vehicles such as tanks and bulldozers. At an airshow in July, Aston Martin unveiled its Volante Vision Concept, an autonomous hybrid-electric vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) vehicle it developed with Rolls-Royce. Aston says the Volante can fly at top speeds of around 200 mph and bills it as a luxury car for the skies. Audi used the Geneva Motor Show in March to unveil a flying car concept called the Pop.Up Next it developed with Airbus and Italdesign. If the Pop.Up Next, an electric and autonomous quadcopter/city car combo, gets stuck in traffic, an app can be used to summon an Airbus-developed drone to pick up the passenger compartment pod, leaving the chassis behind. Audi said that the Pop.Up Next is a "flexible on-demand concept that could open up mobility in the third dimension to people in cities." But Audi also acknowledged that at this point it has no plans to develop it. The cash-stoked, skies-the-limit Silicon Valley tech crowd is also bullish on flying cars. The startup Kitty Hawk that's backed by Google co-founder Larry Page announced in June that it's taking pre-orders for its single-seat electric Flyer that's powered by 10 propellers and is capable of vertical takeoffs and landings. The current version can only fly up to 20 mph and 10 feet in the air and has a flight time of just 12 to 20 minutes on a full charge. The Flyer is considered a recreational vehicle, so doesn't require a pilot's license. Uber says it plans to launch its more ambitious Elevate program and UberAIR service in 2023. "Uber customers will be able to push a button and get a flight on-demand with uberAIR in Dallas, Los Angeles and a third international market," Uber Elevate promises on its website.
