The Best! 2002 Volvo V70 Wagon Fsbo 110k All Dealer Service Spotless Carfax on 2040-cars
Dalton, Georgia, United States
Ok folks if you have been looking for a nice Volvo V70 wagon look no further. My wife had a 2002 Volvo v70 wagon that we traded in on a Ford Expedition a few years ago. Then 2 months ago a good friend of mine (recently divorced and custody of 3 children) needed an SUV with room badly. I sold him my Expedition on the spot for a NICE price and found my wife this lovely V70 you see here in this auction. SHE IS NOT HAPPY. She always loved her last v70 so I knew she would REALLY like this one because it is MINT. The thing is she was spoiled by the room and size of her Expedition and is not liking the downsize.
She and I have been together since we were 18 yrs old and we have owned about 10 Volvo in the past 21 yrs. I have bought 2 new Volvos and 8 nice used ones. The Expedition was our first SUV. I personally hated the beast. It drove like a barn full of cattle. Awful. Ugh. Anyway I am going to let this one go and get her what she wants. Maybe an XC90. I have a Mercedes e320 that I love! so off goes this V70 2.4T. A few details on this car. It was a 1 owner trade in. It was serviced exclusively by Volvo of Clearwater in Florida. It has 29 service records on file with them. All oil changes were done on time. A few repairs were made over the years. Fuel pump, front suspension bushings, a/c work, etc. Nothing major. The transmission was serviced last year at 100k. Which is good because this is a "non serviceable" transmission. Volvo however later decided it was a good idea to service them at 100k. This has been done. Transmission shifts are smooth and hardly noticeable. This is a great drivetrain. 4/30/2013 Timing belt, tensioner and waterpump was replaced at 104k miles 3/2014 I had to put a ABS module on it I has fairly new Michelin MXV Primacy tires. Very smooth. No accidents or paintwork. Clear and clean Carfax. The interior has been well maintained. If you are looking at this ad you know Volvos of this era had leather seats that looked rough after a few years. Kids and pets usually are to blame. This car was owned by retirees(per Clearwater Volvo) and had to have been garage kept. The carpets are spotless and nothing is out of place or broken. It is very nice inside. Exterior is dent and scratch free. The original pinstriping is showing its age which proves to me the car has not had paintwork. The paint is shiny and is not faded at all. Had to have been garage kept. The car has no leaks or outstanding issues. The heat and a/c are very good. All options work. This car is of course the 2.4t light pressure Turbo. The engine is STRONG. I actually work for a company that sells turbo reman parts. We know our turbos! I have checked this one out and it looks brand new. Evidence of proper oil changes. It does not use oil and you can take your finger and swipe the inside of the tailpipe and there is ZERO soot. Clean as new inside tailpipe. Runs nice and cool and has no overheating issues. No headgasket issues and it has Volvo recommended coolant in the system. It has the ugraded Turbo wheels. Optional sunroof, roof rails, large cupholder that slides in dash, automatic climate control (many were manual), power passenger seat along with drivers side and woodgrain trim. It does NOT have built in boosters or a 3rd row. It does have the doggie/luggage net behind rear seats. There are 2 negative things about this car. It has an aftermarket tint that is starting to peel in some places around window door seals. Nothing that stands out toooooo bad but may need repair. Lastly The remote key fobs were lost!!!! ARG I only have 1 key. But it does it all tho. This is not a fire sale. I dont care if we keep it. It is the nicest one I have ever seen this age so if it does not hit my reserve NO PROBLEM. But if someone is like me and willing to pony up a little extra cash for a hard to find older v70 in 9 out of 10 condition. This is it! $500 PayPal deposit due immediately after auctions end. Pickup and remaining payment within 10 days after auctions end. I do not have it for sale anywhere BUT on eBay so it will be here until the end. I have not tried to sell until now. I wanted to give Volvo buffs a shot at it on a national level. I have dealt with shipping cars before so I can help with that anyway I can. The last car I sold on here is listed in my feedback. It went to Utah! I even know a shipper who covers the southeast for a very reasonable fee. He only hauls one car at a time. Anyway message me here or call 7o6-5o8-3963 with questions Joe |

Why this could be the perfect time for Apple to make a car play
Fri, Aug 31 2018While the automotive and technology worlds have been pouring billions into autonomous vehicles (AVs) and preparing to bring them to market soon as shared robo-taxis, Apple has mostly sat on the sidelines. Of course, Apple is the last company to ever make its intentions known, and the super-secret tech cult giant hasn't been totally out of the AV game based on the clues that have slipped out of its Cupertino, Calif., citadel over the past few years. Related: Apple self-driving cars are real — one was just in an accident News first broke in 2015 that it had assembled an automotive development team, in part by poaching high-profile talent from car companies, to work on a top-secret self-driving vehicle project code-named Titan. (Thank you very much, Nissan.) Apple also subsequently broke cover by making inquiries into using a Northern California AV testing facility and receiving a permit to test AVs on public roads in California. But then as the AV race started to heat up in the last few years, Apple reportedly began scaling back its car activities by downsizing team Titan. More recently, Apple's car project has shown signs of life with the hiring a high-level engineer away from Waymo and luring one Tesla's top engineers and a former employee back to Apple. It also inked a deal with Volkswagen to provide a technology platform and software to convert the automaker's new T6 Transporter vans into autonomous shuttles for employees at tech company's new campus. That is a far cry from giving rides to Wal-Mart shoppers, like Waymo is doing as part of its AV testing in Phoenix. But this could be the perfect time for Apple to enter the AV market now that ride-sharing is reaching critical mass and automakers and others are planning to deploy fleets of robo-taxis. Apple could easily establish a niche as a high-end ride-sharing service – and charge a premium – given its cult-like brand loyalty and design savvy. The growth of car subscription models could also play in Apple's favor since is already has many people hooked on paying for phones in monthly installments – and eager to upgrade when a new and better model becomes available. To achieve this, some believe Apple will fulfill co-founder and CEO Steve Job's dream of building a car. And as the world's first and only $1 trillion company it's sitting on a mountain of cash that certainly gives it the means. But other tech darlings like Tesla and Google have discovered how difficult it can be to build cars at scale.
2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback, Volvos earn IIHS Top Safety Pick rating
Tue, Oct 2 2018It's time for another round-up of recent IIHS crash tested cars. The trio this time include the 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback, 2019 Volvo XC90 and 2018 Volvo S90. All three have earned one of the highest ratings from the IIHS, the Top Safety Pick. And all three continue a trend of very safe cars having slightly below-par headlights, preventing them from earning the highest Top Safety Pick+ rating. Of these three cars, the Corolla Hatchback has the most impressive scores. It earned the highest "Good" rating in every single crash test, including the difficult small-overlap passenger-side collision. It also received the top score for access to LATCH anchors for child seats. The standard forward collision prevention technology also brought home the best score possible, stopping the car before a crash at speeds up to 25 mph. The headlights themselves weren't particularly bad either, earning the second-highest score of "Acceptable" with both the standard and optional LED headlights. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Both Volvos shared similar scores to the Corolla Hatchback, with "Good" ratings for all crash tests they participated in, and top rank for their standard forward collision technology. Both vehicles were not tested for the passenger-side small overlap collision, so there is no score in that area. Both also received the "Acceptable" rating for LATCH anchor access. In the headlight department, the XC90 earned "Acceptable" scores for both of its available headlights, and the S90 received an "Acceptable" for its optional lights, while the standard ones were rated as "Marginal." Editors’ Picks July 2022 | Volvo XC60, 911 GT3 and a hot Hyundai
Tue, Aug 16 2022This latest rendition of Editors’ Picks sees us recognize some enthusiast-focused vehicles on both sides of the price spectrum and a luxury SUV. The 911 GT3 was an easy shoo-in, but the Hyundai Elantra N is what surprised us the most. WeÂ’re sad to see the Veloster N bow out after this year, but at least the N model in its place is a worthy one. In case you missed our previous Editors' Picks posts, hereÂ’s a quick refresher on whatÂ’s going on here. We rate all the new cars we drive with a 1-10 score. Cars that are exemplary in their respective segments get EditorsÂ’ Pick status. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. The list that youÂ’ll find below consists of every car we rated in July that earned an EditorsÂ’ Pick. 2022 Volvo XC60 2022 Volvo XC60 Recharge View 36 Photos Quick take: The Volvo XC60 is one of our favorite luxury crossovers, and the PHEV option is a killer setup. We dig the interior design, and the exterior is attractively Swedish, too. Score: 7.5 What it competes with: Alfa Romeo Stelvio, Genesis GV70, Jaguar F-Pace, BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class, Audi Q5, Lexus NX, Acura RDX, Volvo XC60, Lincoln Corsair, Infiniti QX50, Porsche Macan Pros: Great design, epic PHEV option, intriguing interior design options Cons: Tech can be cumbersome, big wheels lead to a stiff ride From the editors: Road Test Editor Zac Palmer — "When it comes to plug-in hybrids, there's no better compact crossover option than the XC60 Recharge. I really dig the extra-powerful electric motor and larger battery Volvo added this year. The interior wool option is my pick of the bunch, but I am a little disappointed that there aren't as many physical buttons throughout the interior as there were before." News Editor Joel Stocksdale — "Although it's got some age, the Volvo XC60 is still an excellent premium SUV. It's as handsome as ever with its clean, modern design inside and out, and feels genuinely luxurious. But what really sets the XC60 apart is its available plug-in hybrid powertrain. It's smooth and refined, and best of all, it's still great in electric mode.
