You’re bidding on a hard to find 1997 Volvo S-90 Limited. The limited package includes: color keyed front spoiler and door sills, 16”alloy wheels, premium leather with alcantara inlays, AM/FM cassette/ cd player with 10 speakers, leather and walnut steering wheel# Original MSRP was $34,875.

I say hard to find because it is one of the last 2.9 liter inline 6 cylinder rear wheel drive. It has leather and suede and seats that show very little wear other than the driver’s seat which shows its age and has some cracks but no breaks.

I have repair and maintenance records back to 2000. Most recently replaced include the fuel pump, front brakes, front struts all vacuum lines, A/C compressor.

This vehicle has been my daily driver and still would be if my employer supplied me with a car. It is a pleasure to drive and at idle you can barely hear it run. I have averaged 24.2 miles per gallon in the time I have owned it.

Lastly, a car of this age and mileage will have some things wrong. Because I want you to know exactly what you are bidding on I’ll list the thing I know are inoperable# They include the front fog lights#probably just bulbs#, power seat#the seats move up and down and tilt but need some coaxing to move forward and back#, the left rear door does not openoutside handle broke and the door could be opened from the inside,  but the child safety lock became engaged so the door does not open at all, Trunk and hood shocks are operable but could be stand to be replaced, the radio is a cd/cassette with a great amp and speaker system but the cd player does not work and the parking brakesthe shoes are new but the cable needs adjustment.

A $500 deposit paid thru PayPal will be due within 48 hours of auctions’ end. Any shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer.

The vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.

Volvo S60 Polestar Concept finally spotted in the flesh

Wed, 28 Nov 2012

The Volvo S60 Polestar Concept has graced the pages of Autoblog numerous times in recent memory, but we've never actually seen it in person. That is, until now.
We caught up with the blazing blue sedan sitting on the floor of the LA Auto Show, and it looks even better up close. As a refresher, the four-door is fitted with a turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine (3.0-liter) generating an impressive 508 horsepower. Its close-ratio six-speed manual gearbox sends power to all four wheels through a fourth-generation Haldex XWD system. With a decent driver behind the steering wheel, the Polestar can crack the 60 mph benchmark in about 3.7 seconds as it rushes towards a top speed in excess of 186 mph.
Volvo has said that this Polestar-modified S60 was built for a specific client who paid upwards of $300,000 for the pleasure of owning it. But as they say, if there is market demand for more...

Thanks for keeping us on our toes, Detroit Auto Show [w/poll]

Wed, Jan 14 2015

Here at Autoblog, we love unexpected debuts at auto shows – and judging by our Detroit Auto Show comments and traffic, you do, too. Surprise reveals have been fewer and farther between in recent years with so many ways for vehicles to be teased or leak out, but this week's show has been a revelation. More to the point, it's been a series of revelations, with automakers from around the globe successfully delivering a brace of concept and production surprises. It's made our jobs a lot more exciting and challenging this week, and even though it's actually more work to react and run-and-gun when the sheet is pulled on a surprise reveal than it is to publish an already-written embargoed story, we've had more fun covering this show for you than any domestic show in memory. We hope you've enjoyed the surprises along with us. To that end, borrowing the words of an unnamed automaker PR flack, we'd like to thank the following automakers for enduring "mountain of antacids" and that "creeping sense of paranoia" necessary to keeping ones' wares totally under wraps until the sheets are pulled off the sheetmetal: Buick Avenir concept Chevrolet Bolt concept Ford GT concept Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Hyundai HCD-15 Santa Cruz concept And while we're at it, we'd like to throw in an shout-out to Detroit's substantially revised and revitalized Cobo Center, and in particular, the redone Michelin media center, which is arguably the single best accommodations for writing show stories that we've encountered on the entire international circuit. Well done, everyone. Thank you, and keep the surprises coming. Auto News Detroit Auto Show Buick Chevrolet Ford Hyundai Volvo 2015 Detroit Auto Show
