I have a 1967 Volvo 122 S Amzon for sale. One of the coolest cars volvo ever made in my opinion.
These cars rarely come up for sale and specially in this condition.
This volvo is a dry california car that spent most of its life in the garage.Owned and cared for by a true volvo enthusiast.
This Volvo was originally an automatic.
This volvo was literally saved from the crusher. It ended up at the junkyard because of the bad automatic transmission.
But this was a great opportunity to swap a 4 speed manual transmission and to save such a rare and iconic car.

Lets see what sets this car apart from the rest.
First of all its a very unique color ,#91 which is the light green.

Te body is very clean and straight with absolutely no rust or accidents of any kind.It has one repaint done in the 80's and it looks superb with the right amount of patina.
The chrome and stainless shines nice. All original windows all around.
Rare roof rack option from factory and neat rubber steps on the rear bumper to access the roof rack.
Rare set of belgian made 7" Cibie lamps add character to this swedish machinery.
All the doors close nicely with even gaps.
Cool talbot style fender mounted mirrors
New sylvania Halogen headlights
No rust anywhere.Clean rocker covers, solid floors and frame rails still wearing the original factory undercoating.
Floorboards inside the car still wear the original paint.
Spare and trunk area are exceptionally clean. Please note on some of the interior pictures what looks like surface rust its in fact glue used to glue down the carpet.

The mechanicals are rock solid and have plenty of upgrades.
The odometer shows 17k miles but im pretty sure its 117k since they roll over at 100k miles.
 It has a B20 motor with a 4 speed manual M40 gearbox.
The motor runs strong,no smoke or leak of any kind.
The transmission shifts very smoothly, can be operated with literally 2 fingers.
Recently upgraded with new Mikuni side draft carbs and performance K&N air filters
Electronic ignition
New alternator upgrade
New battery
New exhaust piping,silencer and muffler.
Clutch is fairly new and works great.Just installed a new clutch slave cylinder as well.
Disc brakes in the front(same as the one on the P1800) and drums in the rear works good.
Steering box was serviced and its tight.
All the lights work.
 Original wheels with hubcaps.
Tires are almost brand new with only a few hundred miles on them.
Kyb shocks with upgraded rear sway bar

The interior is in great shape and very original.
The carpet has been changed and its in good condition.
The dash cap was redone and looks amazing.
The seats and the door cards are factory original mint green in excellent shape.
Driver seat has a seam split but its an easy fix.The vinyl is soft and not faded at all.
The headliner is also original in great shape. It does have 2 small rips by the cargo area. But its tight and it does not sag.
All the gauges work, including the speed and odometer.
All the ligths work, heater and windshield wiper works as well.
Still has the original am volvo radio, however an aftermarket kenwood unit was installed under the dash,it has ipod connectivity.
The cargo area is very clean.Inside the spare tire well we find the original spare, original floor jack and the original toolkit! They all look like they just left the factory.
Rear hatch shock was changed and stays up.

Facts:
Overall this is a very well preserved volvo.Drive it  daily or just in the weekends. This volvo can do it all.
The car is currently registered in california. It has a rebuilt/salvage California title.
All cars purchased from dismantlers are considered junk here in sunny california.
The car never been in an accident. So if this is something that bothers you then this car isnt for you.

I would like to add a couple more things about the car.
Id like to make a correction that the car is equipped with an M41 transmission which means that it has an electric over drive and it works.
I just found out this valuable information from the previous owner.
Also a couple of upgrades/safety features that I havent mentioned before.
The car has been converted to dual-circuit brakes and a breakaway steering column as well.
Thank you for all the interest and compliments so far.

With this mechanical setup this car could be the unofficial 123GT Amazon Station wagon.

Just a thought.

2019 BMW X7 vs luxury SUV rivals: Comparing specs and photos

Wed, Oct 17 2018

Today we get our first-ever look at the first-ever 2019 BMW X7 crossover. We've actually already had our first-ever drive in an X7 Prototype. And so, we thought it appropriate to follow that up today with the first-ever X7 comparison of specs between BMW's first-ever three-row crossover with legitimate room for seven and its many high-dollar competitors. On paper, the 2019 X7 definitely seems to most closely align with the Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class. Their similar dimensions, interior space, engine choices and price would certainly imply where BMW placed the target when developing X7. We used those same elements to determine three-row vehicles likely to be cross-shopped or that should be cross-shopped. These include the Audi Q7, Land Rover Discovery, Volvo XC90 and Lincoln Navigator. Yes, the latter is a truck-based SUV as opposed to a crossover, but tell that to all the people lining out the door at the local Lincoln emporium. They do not care, and neither shall we. We also included the 2019 BMW X5, which was completely redesigned for this year and therefore not the first-ever. That makes it less appealing? Either way, lining the new X5 up with the SUV that leapfrogs it atop BMW's SUV hierarchy should provide a good idea of just how much more you get by going up a model number. Engines and model lineup Again, the X7 aligns closest with the GLS, offering a base six-cylinder in its xDrive40i model and an upgrade turbo V8 in the xDrive50i. The Mercedes engines have greater output, but the GLS still accelerates slower than the BMW. As the 2019 X5 offers the exact same engines, we would also expect the X7's fuel economy to be superior to the GLS once its estimates are announced. It should be noted, though, that the GLS offers a high-powered AMG model whereas we anticipate the X7 to offer a plug-in hybrid model comparable to the X5 upcoming xDrive45e model. The other luxury SUVs diverge in their engine choices and model lineup. The Audi Q7 offers a base turbocharged four-cylinder, as does the Volvo XC90 in its T5 model, which we left out of the above chart entirely for space reasons. That the Q7 3.0 TFSI supercharged V6 gets the same fuel economy estimates as the four-cylinder is proof positive that engine is purely around for its lower base price.

Watch Volvo's V8 Supercar drivers play with the Polestar S60 in the Arctic

Thu, 03 Apr 2014

The Volvo S60 Polestar may not seem like a natural fit for the V8 Supercars series that runs throughout Australia, New Zealand and Tasmania. After all, the all-wheel-drive production-spec car isn't even available with a V8. But the rear-wheel-drive racing version has acquitted itself well in the early races of the season, even scoring an overall win at a race in Melbourne. Currently at seventh place in the championship, the S60 the most successful car that isn't a Holden or Ford.
To celebrate its burgeoning success, Volvo sent its V8 Supercars drivers Robert Dahlgren and Scott McLaughlin to home base in Sweden to have some fun driving in the snow and to visit Polestar headquarters. The two of them do some big power slides on an icy lake and then taker a deeper look into the company's performance division. Scroll down to watch the video full of sliding Swedish sedans.

The next-generation wearable will be your car

Fri, Jan 8 2016

This year's CES has had a heavy emphasis on the class of device known as the "wearable" – think about the Apple Watch, or Fitbit, if that's helpful. These devices usually piggyback off of a smartphone's hardware or some other data connection and utilize various onboard sensors and feedback devices to interact with the wearer. In the case of the Fitbit, it's health tracking through sensors that monitor your pulse and movement; for the Apple Watch and similar devices, it's all that and some more. Manufacturers seem to be developing a consensus that vehicles should be taking on some of a wearable's functionality. As evidenced by Volvo's newly announced tie-up with the Microsoft Band 2 fitness tracking wearable, car manufacturers are starting to explore how wearable devices will help drivers. The On Call app brings voice commands, spoken into the Band 2, into the mix. It'll allow you to pass an address from your smartphone's agenda right to your Volvo's nav system, or to preheat your car. Eventually, Volvo would like your car to learn things about your routines, and communicate back to you – or even, improvise to help you wake up earlier to avoid that traffic that might make you late. Do you need to buy a device, like the $249 Band 2, and always wear it to have these sorts of interactions with your car? Despite the emphasis on wearables, CES 2016 has also given us a glimmer of a vehicle future that cuts out the wearable middleman entirely. Take Audi's new Fit Driver project. The goal is to reduce driver stress levels, prevent driver fatigue, and provide a relaxing interior environment by adjusting cabin elements like seat massage, climate control, and even the interior lighting. While it focuses on a wearable device to monitor heart rate and skin temperature, the Audi itself will use on-board sensors to examine driving style and breathing rate as well as external conditions – the weather, traffic, that sort of thing. Could the seats measure skin temperature? Could the seatbelt measure heart rate? Seems like Audi might not need the wearable at all – the car's already doing most of the work. Whether there's a device on a driver's wrist or not, manufacturers seem to be developing a consensus that vehicles should be taking on some of a wearable's functionality.
