I have been a wholesale auto dealer in the area for over 25 years. I sell 95% of my vehicles to other dealers at local dealer only auto auctions in St. Pete, Tampa, and Lakeland. I offer a select few to the public here on Ebay before I ship them to auction. I save on transportation and auction sale fees, and you get a great deal too. I do not charge a dealer fee which can be as high as $600 at many dealers. This beautiful 2008 Volvo S80 3.2 was just traded in on a new car. It is a local, one owner car that comes with a 100% clean Carfax history report with no accidents or title issues whatsoever. Options include Sport/VENATOR package, 18" Venator Chrome alloy wheels, ventilated front seats, active Bi-Xenon Gas discharge headlamps, speed sensitive steering/ 4C Chassis w/3 settings, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), power folding rear view mirrors, Climate Pkg, heated front and rear seats, rainsensor windshield wipers, high pressure headlamp cleaner, heated windshield washer nozzles, Personal Car Communicator, plus much more. The total of optional equipment is $5555, bringing the original window sticker to a total of $45005. The original sticker, all books and manuals, plus two smart keys with remote control are included. This car looks, runs, and drives like new. There is one small ding on the driver's side rear quarter panel, but is hardly noticeable. The paint is fantastic with a deep shine. All equipment works perfectly, and there are no known issues mechanically. The previous owner was a non smoker, so there are no offensive odors inside. NADA says this car with the current mileage and optional equipment is worth $18350, but you can buy it here wholesale from a wholesaler for only $15980. Please call or text Rick at 813 244-4289 for more info or to see it in person. |

Carmakers, NHTSA to unveil auto-emergency braking agreement tomorrow
Wed, Mar 16 2016Happy St. Patrick's Day Eve. Tomorrow, there will be green beer, corned beef and cabbage, and automatic emergency braking for all. Weird combo, we know. But on St. Patty's we can expect an official announcement from a pact of automakers making auto-braking systems standard equipment by 2022. That's per a report from Reuters, which cites three sources familiar with the plans. Originally announced in September 2015 by 10 automakers and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the agreement is expected to be even larger when the details are unveiled tomorrow. According to Reuters, the manufacturers of 99 percent of the US domestic market's vehicles will be represented by the new agreement. It's believed that standard AEB systems could prevent thousands of accidents across the country. Expect more on the official announcement when it's made. Related Video:
Apple announces CarPlay in-car iPhone interface
Mon, 03 Mar 2014Apple, maker of tech items like the iPhone, iPad and Mac line of computers, is extending its reach into the automotive market, making a fairly big announcement ahead of the Geneva Motor Show. No, it hasn't bought Tesla (yet). Instead, Apple has announced CarPlay, an all-new means of controlling an iPhone through your car.
Now, this doesn't strike us as some gimmicky thing. It's become increasingly common for automakers to take advantage of the high-speed data streams its customers enjoy on their smartphones in order to integrate navigation, traffic, audio and other infotainment items into a car's touchscreen interface. The Chevrolet Spark and Sonic are two prime examples of this move, using an iPhone's data stream for Siri integration and data for a third-party navigation app.
Owners will be able to plug in their iPhones to their cars via the USB port and gain control of a number of the device's functions, all through a car's touchscreen.
Best car infotainment systems: From UConnect to MBUX, these are our favorites
Sun, Jan 7 2024Declaring one infotainment system the best over any other is an inherently subjective matter. You can look at quantitative testing for things like input response time and various screen load times, but ask a room full of people that have tried all car infotainment systems what their favorite is, and you’re likely to get a lot of different responses. For the most part, the various infotainment systems available all share a similar purpose. They aim to help the driver get where they're going with navigation, play their favorite tunes via all sorts of media playback options and allow folks to stay connected with others via phone connectivity. Of course, most go way beyond the basics these days and offer features like streaming services, in-car performance data and much more. Unique features are aplenty when you start diving through menus, but how they go about their most important tasks vary widely. Some of our editors prefer systems that are exclusively touch-based and chock full of boundary-pushing features. Others may prefer a back-to-basics non-touch system that is navigable via a scroll wheel. You can compare it to the phone operating system wars. Just like some prefer Android phones over iPhones, we all have our own opinions for what makes up the best infotainment interface. All that said, our combined experience tells us that a number of infotainment systems are at least better than the rest. WeÂ’ve narrowed it down to five total systems in their own subcategories that stand out to us. Read on below to see our picks, and feel free to make your own arguments in the comments. Best infotainment overall: UConnect 5, various Stellantis products Ram 1500 Uconnect Infotainment System Review If thereÂ’s one infotainment system that all of us agree is excellent, itÂ’s UConnect. It has numerous qualities that make it great, but above all else, UConnect is simple and straightforward to use. Ease of operation is one of the most (if not the single most) vital parts of any infotainment system interface. If youÂ’re expected to be able to tap away on a touchscreen while driving and still pay attention to the road, a complex infotainment system is going to remove your attention from the number one task at hand: driving. UConnect uses a simple interface that puts all of your key functions in a clearly-represented row on the bottom of the screen. Tap any of them, and it instantly pulls up that menu.
