it has come time to sell my beloved S60R i bought this car in october of 2010, from toyota of watertown located right outside Boston, MA, it was the second s60r i owned after io sold my first one i realy missed it and purchased another.  i bought the car with 76k miles, at 83k miles slave cylinder went bad, so i took the car to mitchel volvo in torrington where they put in a new slave, clutch ,angle gear, sleeve and all the seals, since then i also had the mass airflow, blower motor and fuel pressure sensors changed, and recently the car has approached the 105k miles service intereval so i had the timing belt, tentioner and waterpump done on the car, i have reciepts for all parts replaced on the car. i have done my best to keep the car in excellent running shape to have it stay reliable.

i have done a few things to the car to optimize mpgs and power without taking away the reliabilty of the car. and also a few things to make it look how i wanted

IPD hdtcv to replace the normal tcv which are known to go bad

IPD R boost gauge to monitor the turbo pressure

IPD hd tranny mount to replace the weak stock one

K&N air filter to let it breath a little better

USA SPEC ipod adapter to connect your ipod or iphone through the stock radio

15%tints on all windows

debadged the trunk except the R (i have all the emblems and willl go with the car)

the car has special made machine faced 18'' pegasus rims that look great on the black car (the black wheels in the fist picture are now gone, and not included in the sale)

That is all i can think of for ad ons, the car is in excellent shape inside and out and runs and drives great, i am starting a new business and now i use my truck for work and no longer comute a long ways, so im selling the car to help the business. rather than let it sit around, i am setting the reserve on this car very low, and below the "book value"for the simple fact that i could ude the cash to help the growth of my business, the car is also for sale locally and i can end the auction if it is sold privately before hand, i will require a $500 deposit on  the car within 24 hours of the auction closing and the car must be paid for in cash in full within 7 days unless a different agreement is made between the seller and buyer in that time. i also can assist in delivery of the car for a fee that i will discuss with a buyer

if youd like more info or to talk about the car, or if you are local, come take it for a test drive before bidding feel free to call me at 8602567457 or email me at backroad_fabrication@yahoo.com

Leno drives Volvo P1800 from Roger Moore's The Saint

Thu, 18 Sep 2014

Outside of a few notable exceptions, Volvo usually isn't associated with making beautifully curvaceous vehicles. But in the 1960s and early '70s the company proved with the P1800 that its cars didn't only have to be safe but staid family transportation. Underneath that shapely styling were a lot of components from the brand's parts bin, but that didn't bother Roger Moore when he drove one of these in the TV series The Saint. Actually, the future James Bond actor didn't just get behind of one of these; he owned this exact 1967 P1800 S. It's this week's highlight on Jay Leno's Garage.
Moore was the car's original owner, but it also appeared in studio scenes of The Saint. Despite its famous provenance, when owner Bill Krzastek bought the P1800 in England, it was in pretty rough shape. The Volvo underwent a nine-month restoration to get it back into shape, which included some new body panels and wheels. Krzastek claims that much of the interior is original, though.
Krzastek comes off has a little bit nerdy, but you have to give him credit. He absolutely loves his Volvo and knows something about practically every detail of his car's history. Krzastek even refinanced his house to fund the purchase and restoration of the P1800. Although, with the right maintenance these old Swedes have been known to go millions of miles. Enjoy this look at one that was a star of the screen in the '60s.
