2004 Volvo C70 Convertible Hpt Rare Only 16k 1 Owner Excellent Condition on 2040-cars
Woodbury, Connecticut, United States
2004 Volvo C70 Convertible finished in Silver Metallic paint with a Black top and Silver leather interior. This car is an extremely rare find having only 16k miles on it. The car was purchased in March of 2004 and has had one owner since then. It is optioned with CD changer, heated seats, and wood steering wheel. It has always been garaged, maintained only at the dealer, and lovingly cared for. The owner had become ill and unable to drive a few years into owning the car and this the reason the mileage is low. Additionally, the car was not driven in the winter months. The lack of use has left the car extremely well preserved. It drives like new and looks stunning. This C70 is like getting a new car.
The exterior of the car is in excellent condition. The paint holds a very deep showroom shine with no signs of fade. There is no rust on this car and it has not been involved in any accidents. The car has wear consistent with being driven 16k. It has picked up a couple of scratches, dings, etc., there are two scratches that have been touched up on the right, rear quarter. All glass, plastic, and trim pieces are in perfect shape and have no damage. The roof has a few wrinkles but is in excellent condition. The wheels do have areas of curb rash but are in very good condition aside from that. The interior of the car is in excellent condition. The leather is in great shape and has no holes or tears in the upholstery. The original color and finish is bright and vibrant as a result of having been garaged. The seats hold their original shape and form. The dash has no cracks. The wood is also like new, having deep and bright color. The car was not smoked in and has no strange odors. The carpets are free from any dirt or notable stains. There only wear to mention on the interior is on the side and bolster of the driver's seat from getting in and out of the car. Mechanically, the car is in excellent condition. The engine is fast and strong, faster than you would expect. The turbo works flawlessly. The transmission shifts smoothly and as it should. The suspension and steering are as new. The car drives perfectly and is a lot of fun to drive. All interior functions work as they should. Heat is hot and A/C is cold. There are no check engine, ABS, air bag, SRS etc. lights on. I have 2 keys and 1 remote to the car. The owner's manuals are still with the car. The car was exclusively dealer serviced and the service history is also with the car. Almost all of the wear items are original on the car as you would imagine due to the low mileage. The tires are original and have plenty of tread, however, they should be changed due to age. The car will be transferred with the original title. This C70 is an extremely rare find with only 16k miles on it and being in excellent condition. It is a terrific opportunity to get a car with such little use for a fraction of the original cost. I have tried to describe the car as thoroughly and accurately as possible. If you have any further questions, would like specific photos or would like to see the car, please let me know. |

Volvo Recharge models get more power and electric range
Fri, Sep 10 2021Volvo Belgium announced a few big improvements for plug-in hybrid models on the automaker's Scalable Product Architecture, meaning the 60 and 90 series Recharge models — S60, V60, XC60, S90, V90 and XC90. First, the battery's been given another layer of cells, upping capacity from 11.6 kWh to 18.8 kWh. At the moment, Volvo's UK site advertises two figures for all-electric range on the WLTP cycle for the XC60 and XC90, and says the S90 can already do 90 kilometers on a charge. The spec pages, however, say the XC60 can do 32 kilometers maximum, the XC90 able to go 30 kilometers. With the new battery, Volvo says all-electric range has improved to up to 90 kilometers (56 miles) on the WLTP cycle, but that will surely depend on model. Our U.S.-market XC90 PHEV is EPA-rated at 18 miles of battery-electric driving. A 62% increase would put that at about 30 miles. Just as good as the battery boost, the 87-horsepower e-motor that powers the rear axle on the Recharge trims is goosed to 145 hp. The T6 Recharge powertrain will make 350 combined horsepower, ten horses more than currently, and the T8 Recharge powertrain will make a combined 455 hp, a considerable 65 horses more than now. That makes the coming T8 the most powerful Volvo ever put into series production. The T8's 2.0-liter twin-charged engine has also been engineered for more efficiency as well as "higher engine power at low revs and at start-up," but Volvo hasn't offered specifics on that yet. Finally, drivers will be able to control all that go with just the accelerator pedal, Volvo adding single pedal drive on the XC60 Recharge, S90 Recharge, and V90 Recharge. There's no word on when we might see them; introduction sometime during the 2022 model year seems sensible. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. Weekly Recap: Lincoln Continental serves up the style, Cadillac CT6 delivers the substance in New York
Sat, Apr 4 2015Lincoln and Cadillac grabbed the spotlight this week at the New York Auto Show in a dramatic fashion that evoked the brands' glory days. America's two luxury carmakers went toe-to-toe with their glittering reveals and plans for ambitious expansion. Both were selling their technology, style and the promise of a better future. Cadillac vs. Lincoln. At the Javits Center, 2015 seemed a lot like 1956. Neither company was interested in drawing comparisons with the other, which is fair, and accurate. They're in vastly different places in terms of sales and the pace of their turnarounds, but they hope to reach the same eventual destination at the pinnacle of the luxury-car world. Lincoln used the element of surprise to great effect with the Continental concept. A production version is still at least a year away, and the company was vague on details. Officially, we don't even know if it is front- or rear-wheel drive, though speculation abounds. Who cares? The seats can be adjusted 30 ways! The Continental also showed off a bold chrome grille that will be the new face of Lincoln. The blue bomber also rolled on blinged-out 21-inch polished aluminum wheels, used a 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine and had huge LED head lights with "laser-assisted" high beams. All of this resulted in almost blinding attention. The concept drew rave reviews, stirred controversy with Bentley designers who argued Lincoln ripped them off, and most importantly, pointed a way forward for the newly determined brand that hopes to compete with Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Cadillac and Lexus. View 32 Photos Meanwhile, Cadillac showed the CT6, a finished product that will top its range and is loaded with the best and latest technologies General Motors has at its disposal. With production starting late this year, Cadillac had more specifics at the ready. Engines? Cadillac has a couple V6s and a turbo four for sure. It's working on a hybrid, and has considered a V-Series variant. It's based on a new rear-wheel-drive, aluminum-intensive chassis called Omega, features an advanced collision-mitigation system with automatic braking and has a cabin that's laden with "leathers, exotic woods and carbon fiber." It will be assembled at GM's Detroit-Hamtramck factory and goes on sale next year. At this point, Cadillac is more than willing to talk about every except for the price. The devil was not in the details for Cadillac, as evidenced by the CT6. But it wasn't for Lincoln either.
