2007 Volvo Xc90 3.2 Sport Utility 4-door 3.2l on 2040-cars
Stamford, New York, United States
For auction is this clean, well cared for 2007 Volvo XC90 equipped with 3.2 6 Cylinder engine, 6 Speed Automatic Transmission, and third row seating, priced to sell under book value. It has 146,550 miles on it. No rust, non-smoker, no dogs, and clean CarFax, which I have (two weeks old). All service and repair has been done regularly and professionally at either the dealer or a local, reputable shop. I am the second owner. I bought it at a Volvo dealer in 2009 when it had 27,000 miles on it and it was certified bumper to bumper out to 100,000. I have had no trouble with this car, and have stayed on top of all issues and maintenance. All systems are operable, and the a/c is cold. The Good: A clean, safe Volvo used as a commuter and for family transport. No city mileage, no trips to the dump. Clear NYS Title. Clean CarFax. The Bad: Some minor cosmetic body work needed in front due to deer hit a few months back that I never had repaired. Scratches on right rear, and an indented scratch on front right fender. Some expected chips, scratches, and wear and tear you would expect for a car this age. All shown in pictures. Car is sold AS-IS. For sale locally, so right to end early in case of sale is reserved. I can arrange shipping. Terms: Cash or bank check within 48 hrs. of auction close. Happy bidding !! |

Volvo V40 Cross Country gets the all-wheel drive it deserves
Mon, 29 Sep 2014Want a rugged Volvo wagon? Gothenburg has two kinds to offer: there's the XC crossovers on the one hand and ruggedized wagons on the other. As we reported last month from the unveiling of the new XC90 in Sweden, Volvo plans on offering more Cross Country wagons in the future. But in the meantime, it has upgraded the existing V40 Cross Country with some key enhancements - not the least of which is the long-awaited addition of all-wheel drive.
Powertrain upgrades for Volvo's smallest soft-roader include the new T5 engine (a 1.7-liter turbo four producing 245 horsepower), an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The new powertrain is not only more capable, but also more environmentally friendly than the old T5 it replaces.
The enhanced V40 Cross Country launches in Europe mid-fall before being rolled out in other markets in the following months, but unfortunately the United States is not among them as the V40 is not offered Stateside in any configuration, which is a shame.
Honda, Volvo, Lincoln are North American Car, Utility and Truck of the Year
Mon, Jan 15 2018The Detroit Auto Show has officially kicked off, as it always does, with the announcement of the North American Car, Utility Vehicle and Truck of the Year winners. For 2018, those are the Honda Accord, Volvo XC60 and Lincoln Navigator, respectively. The Honda Accord beat out two other finalists, the Toyota Camry and the new Kia Stinger. The Accord stood out for its styling, drivability and standard equipment. The Volvo XC60 came out ahead of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Honda Odyssey minivan. It was chosen for its luxury, ride and value when equipped well. The Lincoln Navigator, a heavily updated model that remained true to the concept car on which it was based, beat the Ford Expedition, as well as the only pickup in the list, the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 (which was a finalist for Autoblog's own Technology of the Year Award). NACTOY juror Ron Sessions complimented the "more dramatic update" compared to the Expedition. "With its design now aligned with the Continental, the Navigator becomes an even more important image — and the profit-maker for Lincoln," he said. The NACTOY Awards have been around since 1994. A panel of 60 judges, all automotive journalists, whittle the list down to three finalists in each category before announcing the winners in January. The Utility Vehicle category was added for 2017. Volvo Trucks makes some pretty strong brakes
Mon, 05 May 2014Often dashcam footage from Russia shows some of the worst driving imaginable, but this is an exception. The Volvo truck driver in this video definitely earned himself a drink or two at the end of the day after making it through this potentially horrific crash. As do the folks at Volvo that engineered those brakes.
The truck driver shows some fantastic reaction time as the silver hatchback suddenly pulls out of an intersection. It looks like he only has a few yards to bring the behemoth to a stop before demolishing the little car. While it's an impressive feat, the best part of the video has to be the driver's bow when he gets out of the truck. He looks like a maestro who just finished conducting a symphony asking for a round of applause.
Scroll down to check out this truck driver's skills and see if he earns his bow afterward.
