Volvo calls in S60 T5 over oil pressure indicator

As anyone with a driver's license should be able to tell you, the oil pressure indicator on a car is a vital feature. If you don't have enough oil pressure, your engine could seize up, leaving you stranded and causing catastrophic damage for both your automobile and your wallet. Worryingly, then, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that the oil pressure indicator lamp on certain Volvo S60 models is prone to failure, prompting the manufacturer to issue a recall.
The issue pertains to MY2011-2012 Volvo S60s with turbocharged five-cylinder engines manufactured between June 22, 2010 and May 14, 2012. All told, precisely 30,929 units are affected by the recall campaign. The owners of affected models will be notified by Volvo to bring in their cars to their local dealer for a software update. Honda, Volvo, Lincoln are North American Car, Utility and Truck of the Year

The Detroit Auto Show has officially kicked off, as it always does, with the announcement of the North American Car, Utility Vehicle and Truck of the Year winners. For 2018, those are the Honda Accord, Volvo XC60 and Lincoln Navigator, respectively. The Honda Accord beat out two other finalists, the Toyota Camry and the new Kia Stinger. The Accord stood out for its styling, drivability and standard equipment. The Volvo XC60 came out ahead of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Honda Odyssey minivan. It was chosen for its luxury, ride and value when equipped well. The Lincoln Navigator, a heavily updated model that remained true to the concept car on which it was based, beat the Ford Expedition, as well as the only pickup in the list, the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 (which was a finalist for Autoblog's own Technology of the Year Award). NACTOY juror Ron Sessions complimented the "more dramatic update" compared to the Expedition. "With its design now aligned with the Continental, the Navigator becomes an even more important image — and the profit-maker for Lincoln," he said. The NACTOY Awards have been around since 1994. A panel of 60 judges, all automotive journalists, whittle the list down to three finalists in each category before announcing the winners in January. The Utility Vehicle category was added for 2017. 2022 Volvo S60 Black Edition darkens the sedan's trim

Volvo revealed the 2022 Volvo S60 Black Edition today, firmly hopping on the trend of blacking out different trim bits that countless other cars offer. The staid but handsome S60 is given a dash of attitude with this appearance package, and we like the look. Volvo says the Black Edition features glossy black paint for the grille, Volvo badge, grille slash, window trim badging and exhaust tips. Additionally, the 19-inch wheels are painted in the same shade of glossy black. You’ll have two paint options: Onyx Black Metallic or Crystal White Metallic.  All of the badging in black is a unique look for Volvo products, as weÂ’re accustomed to seeing brightwork on all of SwedenÂ’s cars these days. You can get the Black Edition for the Momentum, R-Design and Recharge (PHEV) models, so itÂ’s essentially available across the model range. It adds $700 to the purchase price, meaning a base, front-wheel-drive Momentum Black Edition costs $40,995 after destination. The S60 Black Edition is going to be built in limited quantities for the 2022 model year — Volvo says only 450 total will be produced.
