2013 Volvo Xc60 T6 Awd on 2040-cars
Suches, Georgia, United States
Hi! This could be your lucky day. Up for sale is a beautifully maintained, 2013 Volvo XC60 T6 AWD Premiere Plus. As you can see in the photos, there isn’t a single dent, scratch, tear or stain on the entire car. It looks and smells like a new car. No pets, no smoking. Title in hand. Rather than just a long list of features (see below), or even some really nice photos, here are a few highlights about the car. Five things come to mind (but there are so many!): STYLING: Scandinavian design definitely grabs attention. As you look at the car, particularly from the front, you’ll think: “wow, that’s a really nice looking car”. SAFETY: After all, it's a Volvo. Too many innovations to list, but BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) comes to mind. One split-second distraction is all it takes to realize how fortunate you are to be driving a Volvo. 5-STAR safety ratings across the board. PERFORMANCE: 6-cylinder turbo, 300hp, 325 lb/ft of torque means instant acceleration, and complete confidence on challenging roadways. We pass a road sign every day that says STEEP HILLS AND SHARP CURVES NEXT 33 MILES. Boy, are those miles fun in this car. COMFORT: Most comfortable car seat made. In fact, more comfortable than any seat in the house. Driver and passengers have heated, infinitely adjustable seats. Tons of headroom and legroom. You really appreciate it on long trips. ECONOMY: 18.5 gallons last a long time when you’re getting 25+ mpg. So then….. why are we selling? We are moving to a very harsh climate/terrain later this year. Though this car is capable of mastering rough terrain (heck, it was born in Sweden!), I just can’t bring myself to bang up such a gorgeous car. Purchased in 2012, this Volvo has been serviced exclusively at North Point Volvo in Alpharetta, GA. I’d be glad to connect you with our service advisor, who can tell you what great shape this car is in. PERFORMANCE:
We are located just north of Atlanta and would be glad to meet you nearby for viewing and/or purchase. Best of luck to you! |

Volvo credits China, Europe for first-half profitability
Fri, 22 Aug 2014If everything goes to plan, Volvo might be showing the first signs of a turnaround after several years coping with old products and a staid image. The Swedish brand is imminently launching its next-gen XC90 SUV on a completely revised, modular platform and using a cutting-edge family of engines, and it has even more products to take advantage of the fresh components on the drawing board. "We are excited about the launch of the all-new XC90, which marks the beginning of the re-launch of the Volvo brand," said CEO Håkan Samuelsson in the company's announcement. In the meantime, the business is moving back to profitability and is even forecasting growth through the rest of 2014.
In Volvo's recently released financial and sales results for the first six months of the year, volume was up 9.5 percent to 299,013 cars. On top of that, operating income reached 1.21 billion Swedish krona ($175 million) after posting a loss in the same period in 2013. Net income was also improved to 535 million Swedish krona ($77.4 million), which was also a reversal from a negative last year.
With these great results, Volvo is now forecasting 10 percent sales growth worldwide by the end of the year, and the key to it is a booming market in some regions. China, home to parent company Geely, was up 34.4 percent first half of the year. It's now Volvo's biggest market in the world and helped by exclusive models like the S60L (pictured above) and S80L. "We are growing our presence in China and we expect to sell at least 80,000 cars there this year," said Samuelsson in the company's forecast.
Volvo readying stretched next-gen S80 in lieu of 7 Series rival?
Fri, 13 Sep 2013The debate about what direction to take perennially struggling Volvo has been raging for years. Should the Swedish marque go upscale and try to chase other European luxury brands, or should it stick to its safety-minded knitting? Should it adopt flashy new styling and a more overt performance bent, or keep it Scandinavian clean and responsible? Chinese parent brand Geely apparently has designs on making Volvo a full-fledged BMW rival - particularly in its homeland - including pushing for a range-topping 7 Series competitor. However, Volvo execs have been repeatedly pushing back on the idea. In fact, it's understood that this philosophical crisis contributed mightily to the high-profile departure of Stefan Jacoby, the company's CEO until the middle of 2012 (Jacoby has since rebounded to head international operations for General Motors).
There doesn't seem like any middle path in this debate, but that apparently isn't going to stop Volvo from trying. According to a sprawling Reuters report, Volvo will placate Geely chairman Li Shufu with a stretched and lux'd up version of the next S80. Yet Li still isn't completely satisfied, and he's said to be pushing for "a plusher and bigger model he calls the S100" to rival cars like the Audi A8. For the moment, it is not clear if the larger S80-based model will be a global offering, or just another one of China's many home-market, long-wheelbase specials.
The question of future Volvo styling is up for debate as well. According to Reuters, "Insiders say Li is a big fan of the new styling that design chief Thomas Ingenlath has brought to Volvo" (The latest example, the Concept Coupe from this week's Frankfurt Motor Show, is shown above.) Yet there are those who worry whether the company's new styling strategy is showy enough to appeal to China's wealthy. Chairman Li would still like to see a range-topping sedan for "show-off people," but Volvo's management doesn't want to go down that road. Clearly, this won't be the last we hear about the company's existential boardroom battles.
Volvo introduces 2022 C40 Recharge crossover, announces all EV sales will be online-only
Tue, Mar 2 2021Volvo plans to become an electric car brand, with EVs making up half of sales by 2025, and all sales by 2030. Volvo has now also announced that as part of its electric future, it will move all vehicle sales to online-only, and will expand its customer services. The first car to be sold online-only will be the all-electric C40 Recharge, which the company showed off in a sneak peek during in the “Volvo Moment: Recharge” video above. The 2022 Volvo C40 Recharge is a fastback-style “crossover coupe” with an upright stance. It features a 78-kilowatt-hour battery providing 260 miles of range, according to Volvo. With electric motors front and rear, it'll do 0-62 miles per hour in 4.9 seconds. Volvo claims a 0-80% charge in 40 minutes. It will be VolvoÂ’s second car (after the XC40 Recharge) using the Google Android Automotive Operating System for its infotainment, much like that introduced on the Polestar 2. The C40 will also be completely leather-free, signaling a move away from leather for all Volvos in the future. To begin, the Volvo C40 Recharge is available for order online at Volvo Studios in New York, Milan and Tokyo. Volvo C40 Recharge View 35 Photos Along with sales going completely online, Volvo will expand its Care by Volvo program beyond vehicle subscriptions to offer a complete care package. Customers can enjoy greater convenience, with the package covering insurance, warranty, maintenance, roadside assistance and even home charging options. Volvo cars can still be custom ordered, but it will also offer a number of pre-configured packages for faster delivery of its vehicles to customers. Pricing will be pre-fixed, removing the need for haggling with a dealer and wondering if youÂ’re getting the best price for your vehicle. Dealers arenÂ’t being put out to pasture, though; Volvo says its retail partners “remain a crucial part of the customer experience and will continue to be responsible for a variety of important services such as selling, preparing, delivering and servicing cars.” Volvo intends to become fully climate neutral by 2040. To help with that, it will adopt some of the same practices as spinoff brand Polestar, by enacting full transparency in its supply chain, and using blockchain technology for sensitive raw materials like cobalt. Volvo will also perform on-the-ground audits to ensure everythingÂ’s on the up-and-up in its supply chain. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party.
