For sale is a 2000 Volvo V70 All Wheel Drive Special Edition 4D Wagon. It has all of the bells and whistles that Volvo has to offer, with heated leather seats, power everything, moonroof, roof rack and sooo much more.

This car only has 80,500 miles on it. Clean title. We are the third owner. New Tags, that expire May 2015. Our Volvo mechanic has said it is in excellent mechanical condition. When we bought it at 75,300 miles, we changed out the timing belt, water pump, all crank shaft seals. There are no leaks of any kind. We also replaced all four rotors new and brake pads. The tires are from Les Schwab and were new (99% tread) at 76,000 miles. The Anti lock Break Module has been rebuilt and was also replaced when the timing belt was. Oil change 1500 miles ago. We also had the Air Conditioning recharged for the summer. The transmission is excellent; very smooth, flawless shifting. All of this can be verified by a mechanic and we have all records. It is rated highly on CarFax, which we have and will provide. The new tags and Oregon plates cost me $194 at the DMV and $19 at DEQ. You really are getting a great deal. I am hoping to get $8000, but reasonable offers will be considered. Please don't low-ball.

The interior is excellent for a 13 year old car. It is clean with no tears in the leather or rips in the carpet. This car has third row seating and built in booster seats.

The exterior is in ok condition. It has the usual small dents and dings, as any older car has. It has pant dulling and the clear coat is starting to peel in a couple of places. Not bad for a car of this year. The Kelley Blue Book Value of this car is $7949. Seeing as we have have done all major maintenance on this vehicle in the last 5000 miles, it is worth that. You will not need to do any major maintenance until 175,000 miles. Just buy and drive for a good 5-8 years before needing to do anything. We had planned on keeping it, but just had a new baby and need more room. We didn't realize that it was just a little too small for 2 car seats a double stroller when we bought it. I want a minivan :)

Come take a test drive...this car is well worth it and incredibly safe. You won't be disappointed. Local pickup only. We won't ship. You need to come and pick up.

Volvo XC90 successor EV might have been outed in patent images

Mon, Aug 15 2022

Motor1 found a trademark application Volvo filed at the EU Intellectual Property Office on June 13 to reserve the name "EXC90." A month later, the Worldscoop Forum for European car fans posted these images, sourced from the same government agency. We can't be certain the two filings are related, but circumstantial evidence points to this being the full-sized XC90's battery-electric successor that will be called the EXC90. Another circumstantial log for the fire is that Volvo ex-CEO Hakan Samuelsson said the coming family transport would start with a vowel. Based on yet another trademark filing from last year and Samuelsson saying Volvo would "give cars a name as you give a newborn child," we've been looking out for the name Embla. But hey, EXC90 Embla would cover all the bases, and it could differentiate the battery-electric XC90 from the hybrid version we know will continue to sell. Rolling with the possibility, the drawings show a crossover taking clear cues from both the current XC90 and the Volvo Concept Recharge design study from November of last year. The headlight design, sold grille and vertical lower intakes look traced from the Concept Recharge. The hood is much more upright, a la the retail XC90, as are the horizontal roof and full-figured sides. In back, the drawings diverge from the XC90 and the concept. The backlight is more raked than that on the XC90, meaning it's far more angled than the upright hatch on the concept. The C-shaped lights are more like units on Volvo sedans, unconnected to the upright light elements beside the hatch glass in the same way the XC90's and concept's are. Below that, there are no visible exhaust outlets, but the ICE-powered XC90 hides its outlets, too. Not long after posting these exterior shots, Worldscoop posted interior shots as well. These represent designs that differ from every Volvo interior save for the inset where the portrait-oriented infotainment screen goes. The left and right steering wheel spokes feature floating inserts. The instrument panel stretches a single vent across its width, removing the vertical vents next to the infotainment screen, and might be reminiscent of the unit in the Polestar in placing the HVAC controls at the bottom of the touchscreen.

Ford, Volvo top 2014 EyesOn Design awards

Fri, 17 Jan 2014

Each year at the Detroit Auto Show, the top vehicle designs are recognized with the prestigious EyesOn Design award for production and concept vehicles. This year, the 32 EyesOn Design judges (comprised of current and former vehicle designers including Chrysler designer and SRT president Ralph Gilles, Kia designer Peter Schreyer and retired General Motors designer Wayne Cherry) handed out three awards for the Best Concept Vehicle, Best Production Vehicle and Innovative Use of Color, Graphics, and Materials.
Beating out the Mercedes C-Class and Ford F-150, the 2015 Ford Mustang was named the Best Production Vehicle as the top auto show debut at this year's Detroit show. The 2014 Volvo Concept XC Coupe took home awards as the Best Concept Vehicle and for its Innovative Use of Color, Graphics and Materials.
Considering the Volvo's primer grey hue and subtle orange accents, it was a rather surprising winner for Innovative Use of Color, Graphics, and Materials over flashier concepts like the Toyota FT-1 and our Editors' Choice top pick, the Kia GT4 Stinger. Other vehicles in the running for the concept car award include the GT4 Stinger and Audi Allroad Shooting Brake

2015 Volvo S60 T6 Drive-E

Wed, 23 Apr 2014

For those not paying attention, Volvo has updated its S60 sedan range for 2015 with a new range of engines under the Drive-E label. Wearing the same T5 and T6 badges to note the relative levels of power under the hood, both engines are 2.0-liter four-cylinders, with the lesser being turbocharged and the greater being both supercharged and turbocharged.
Both Drive-E variants are currently only available in front-wheel-drive flavor, though Volvo will still happily sell you an S60 T5 AWD with the older 2.5-liter turbo five-cylinder, or a top-of-the-line S60 T6 with a turbo'd 3.0-liter six-cylinder and all the wheels turning.
The car I drove for a week is perhaps the most balanced version of the S60 range, with that exotic sounding twin-charged 2.0-liter mill planted happily in the attractively sloping nose. Provided you're not hung up on front-drive dynamics, the T6 Drive-E might be a solid candidate for your next premium small sedan shopping list, as well.
