This car needs nothing! It runs and drives perfectly. there are a few very minor chips/scratches you may not even notice, i'm overly critical as a classic car collector."

Awesome Car, We are the second owners, car has 86K miles, this is a non-Turbo car (very reliable) with front wheel drive, Great in the snow (no all-wheel drive maintenance and problems) and a 5-Speed Manual Transmission.  This car runs and drives perfectly!

It is nearly impossible to find one of these with the features like the Third Row Seat (seating for 7 passengers) the Rear Seat Built-in Child Booster Seats that pop up when you need them and fold away when you don't, and a rear seat travel center.  The rear seats (2nd and 3rd Rows) fold down completely for tons of storage if needed.

This car also has:
Daytime running lights
Dual power front seats, with 3 Memory position Drivers power seat
Dual driver/passenger climate control, ICE COLD A/C!
All power windows and side mirrors
Has a small hitch that was used for a bike rack, does not have any wiring for trailer lights.

Everything Works on this car, it is a very good and reliable family car.  With the non-turbo motor and the 5-speed manual transmission we have been getting over 33 MPG on the highway and about 25 around town (Most tanks), On Regular gas!  Know that all the turbos REQUIRE premium gas.  This car handles great and is very fun to drive!

We have used this car as our third vehicle, and just don't seem to be using it much lately.

Bid with confidence, I have been on eBay for years, and know that if you win this no-reserve auction, you will be super happy!

Car can be seen just call or email me to set up an appointment.
Car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end this auction early if the car is no longer available.
No-Reserve, high bidder owns this car!

Thanks for looking!

Ex-Volvo boss Stefan Jacoby to head GM's international operations

Fri, 02 Aug 2013

He was too talented not to surface somewhere, we just didn't know where and when. Nine months ago, Stefan Jacoby stepped down from his post as Volvo CEO, a move that caught many off guard. At the time, the separation was called "amicable," but word is that the strong-willed executive clashed with owners Geely and the automaker's board.
Jacoby will have a new set of challenges on his hands, as he has just been named Executive Vice President Consolidated International Operations for General Motors. That means the Hannover-born Jacoby will head up the company's operations in Asia, Africa, Europe and the Middle East, where he will be responsible for over 100 countries and territories. Jacoby succeeds Tim Lee, who has been named chairman of GM China. Lee will also retain his post as Executive Vice President Global Manufacturing.
Jacoby's dealings with Geely should help him in his Asian market duties, but he also counts time as the head of Volkswagen of China on his resume, so he's very well-versed in the market's peculiarities.

Tony Nicolosi named CEO of Volvo Cars North America

Fri, 04 Oct 2013

Volvo announced today that it has named Tony Nicolosi, president and CEO of Volvo Car Financial Services VCFS), as the new CEO of Volvo Cars of North America (VCNA). Nicolosi replaces John Maloney, who chose to leave due to family obligations after Volvo offered him a position in Europe.
Volvo says Nicolosi will remain president and CEO of VCFS while he assumes VCNA's top position. The Swedish automaker also says a "permanent successor [to Maloney] as President and CEO will be the subject of a later announcement."
The move comes as part of a management shakeup that's part of a "larger transformation taking place at Volvo," the automaker says.

Volvo XC40 delayed because it's too big for its own good?

Thu, 11 Jul 2013

As fuel prices rise and greenhouse gases poke holes in the ozone, big, gas-guzzling sports utility vehicles are becoming less popular as smaller, cleaner vehicles, such as crossovers, gain market share. Volvo is late to the small crossover party, though it wants to build the XC40 crossover to compete with the Land Rover Evoque. The only problem with that, Autocar reports, is that a suitable (read: small enough) platform for it is up to five years away, despite a hopeful photos of it in testing guise.
Volvo is currently developing a new platform, called SPA (Scaleable Platform Architecture), to underpin its next-generation of vehicles, such as the 2014 XC60 pictured above and the S60 sedan, which is likely the smallest vehicle that would be able to use the new platform. Furthermore, there doesn't seem to be a quick fix for the gaping hole in Volvo's lineup, and Geely, the Chinese budget car manufacturer that owns Volvo, is reportedly preparing to launch a mid-market brand that may or may not be sold outside of China.
Can't Swedish car manufacturers catch a break?
