The wagon runs good and is very reliable always starts right up and is fun to drive and very versatile can carry a lot of stuff!
The Good:
Almost every repair you can think of has been done has a good VA state inspection and is current. The following work has been done:
Replace timing belt and all idlers and tensioners and water pump, all serpentine belts replaced and serpentine belt tensioner, air box and PCV Oil trap kit replaced!
BG Fuel Induction Engine service then a tune up change spark plugs, fuel filter, Coolant replaced, Oil & Oil Filter replaced
Right front Control Arm, Right front CV Axle shaft, Lower Engine Mount, replaced heater core and valve connector, right headlamp new lense glass replaced.
I have probably paid done close to $2,000 in new parts and service in the last year on this wagon! And that is not even taking into account the KBB value of the car! If your looking for a good Volvo Turbo All wheel drive wagon here you go!
The bad:
Has Michelin tires that are in fair shape will need new tires.
The rear camshaft seal is leaking and will need to be replaced, and has the usual dings dents and on the rear driver passenger door has some light scrape dings from being parked in DC. It was like that when we bought it never really bothered me is cosmetic.
All and all this is a great Volvo Cross Country Wagon that is all wheel drive and has been well maintained! If your in the market for a all wheel driver wagon it will be really hard to be this price! A new one is close to $46,000 plus with these options!

New Volvo ad remembers the joy of rear-facing jump seats
Mon, 19 May 2014With the rise in popularity of first the minivan and later the crossover as the default family vehicle, there have been about 20 years of children who have missed out on the joy of rear-facing jump seats in station wagons. It means kids today don't know the pleasure to be found in making faces or lewd gestures at other drivers while their parents can't see. Plus, they don't know the slightly nauseous feeling of watching the world pass by in reverse. However, a group of filmmakers look back with nostalgia at this increasingly uncommon automotive feature in a new ad for the 2015 Volvo V60.
As part of its sponsorship of the National Film Festival for Talented Youth, Volvo commissions a team each year to create an advertisement to be shown during the festival. This year's shows how the company's buyers have gone from riding in the back to driving the brand's cars. Jaguar turns down offers to join V8 Supercars, questions AMG, Volvo participation
Thu, 27 Jun 2013Rumors have swirled in recent weeks that Jaguar may be the next manufacturer to join the V8 Supercars racing series, made popular in Australia but now well-known in other parts of the world as well. Sadly, Jag's participation is not to be. In fact, it would be "insane," according to Jaguar Land Rover Asia Pacific Managing Director David Blackhall, for it to accept either of the two offers it has received to bring Jaguar into V8 Supercars.
Not only is Jaguar not interested in entering V8 Supercars, says Blackhall, it also fails to understand the recent entries from AMG and Volvo. "I don't know what it does for AMG to get flogged by a V8 Commodore week after week, but it's their brand, their issue. And the same thing will happen to Volvo to be honest."
Judging by Blackhall's statements to motoring.com.au, after not-so-serious consideration, the automaker decided the monetary commitment it would take to compete for wins would be more than any potential exposure would be worth, despite the fact that Jaguar has a 5.0-liter V8 to go along with what would seem to be a tailor-made rear-wheel-drive chassis. For what it's worth, one offer would have had Jaguar putting its name across an engine made by someone else, an option that was flatly turned down.
2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback, Volvos earn IIHS Top Safety Pick rating
Tue, Oct 2 2018It's time for another round-up of recent IIHS crash tested cars. The trio this time include the 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback, 2019 Volvo XC90 and 2018 Volvo S90. All three have earned one of the highest ratings from the IIHS, the Top Safety Pick. And all three continue a trend of very safe cars having slightly below-par headlights, preventing them from earning the highest Top Safety Pick+ rating. Of these three cars, the Corolla Hatchback has the most impressive scores. It earned the highest "Good" rating in every single crash test, including the difficult small-overlap passenger-side collision. It also received the top score for access to LATCH anchors for child seats. The standard forward collision prevention technology also brought home the best score possible, stopping the car before a crash at speeds up to 25 mph. The headlights themselves weren't particularly bad either, earning the second-highest score of "Acceptable" with both the standard and optional LED headlights. Both Volvos shared similar scores to the Corolla Hatchback, with "Good" ratings for all crash tests they participated in, and top rank for their standard forward collision technology.
