We are pleased to present this incredibly nice Volvo XC70 2.5t AWD which is fitted with some fairly desirable options. First of all, 2007 is the final year for this body style of XC70, and is, in our opinion the best year for these cars. Not only is this XC70 made after the facelift of these cars which gives them new more modern front and rear bumpers with larger skid plates, different tail lights, headlights, and a completely redesigned center console and center stack, but 2007 also gives the XC70 larger door mirrors with integrated turn signals which give the car a much more rugged and finished look at the same time. They are painted body color but are big and chunky. The're just great. Since 2007 was the last year for this body style of XC70, by this point, Volvo really had this model perfected. Mechanically, these cars are awesome, and their 5 Cylinder engine is one of the greatest engines ever made by any company. They run FOREVER! This XC70 also has the Premium Package.

The interior of this XC70 is in very, very good condition. It has oak (beige) leather XC heated seats with beautiful walnut accents on the dash and door panels (and that matching steering wheel). The car has the "high performance sound" Alpine audio system upgrade which sounds excellent. It also has a power moonroof. The previous owner of this car was definitely a non-smoker. These cars don't even come with cigarette lighters, just power outlets. There is a cup holder that accommodates two beverages which is illuminated with a really cool light ring. The center console also features much more wood than the previous models, and it gives the car a much more upscale feel. This Volvo has dual front airbags, as well as front side airbags, and curtain airbags for the front and rear seats. It's got the WHIPS whiplash protection system as well which prevents whiplash in the event of a rear-end collission. It also features rain sensitive windshield wipers, along with heated mirrors and high-pressure headlight washer jets, which are part of the climate package.

The exterior of this XC70 is in remarkably good condition, and Metallic Silver in color. Metallic Silver is a medium to medium-dark silver color which Volvo has been making for several years. The color looks very bright in direct sunlight, but almost becomes gray in darker conditions. This XC70 also has "slate" colored unpainted bumpers. Slate is a gray color with a hint of blue. It looks great with the silver metallic paint. The exterior of the car is actually in very nice condition, and there aren't any major flaws to note. The 16 inch "Xenia" alloy wheels are in great condition. The body is very free of dings and scratches. Overall, this is a great looking XC70.

The tires are all matching Continental tires that are in good shape. The brakes are in  good shape and the car stops as it should. The legendary 2.5 Liter low pressure turbocharged 5 cylinder engine runs flawlessly and is very smooth. The transmission is also excellent.Two keys are included, along with the owners manual set.

How Norway became a world leader in EV sales, and where it goes from here

OSLO, Norway — A silent revolution has transformed driving in Norway. Eerily quiet vehicles are ubiquitous on the fjord-side roads and mountain passes of this wealthy European nation of 5.3 million. Some 30 percent of all new cars sport plug-in cables rather than gasoline tanks, compared with 2 percent across Europe overall and 1-2 percent in the U.S. As countries around the world — including China, the world's biggest auto market — try to encourage more people to buy electric cars to fight climate change, Norway's success has one key driver: the government. It offered big subsidies and perks that it is now due to phase out, but only so long as electric cars remain attractive to buy compared with traditional ones. "It should always be cheaper to have a zero emissions car than a regular car," says Climate and Environment Minister Ola Elvestuen, who helped push through a commitment to have only zero-emissions cars sold in Norway by 2025. The plan supports Norway's CO2 reduction targets under the 2015 Paris climate accord. To help sales, the Norwegian government waived hefty vehicle import duties and registration and sales taxes for buyers of electric cars. Owners don't have to pay road tolls, and get free use of ferries and bus lanes in congested city centers. These perks are being phased out in 2021, though any road tolls and fees would be limited to half of what gasoline car owners must pay. Gradually, subsidies for electric cars will be replaced by higher taxes on traditional cars. Registration tax on new cars is paid on a sliding scale with a premium for the amount of emissions produced. Elvestuen pledges that the incentives for electric vehicles will be adjusted in such a way that it does not scupper the 2025 target. "What is important is that our aim is not just to give incentives," he says. "It is that we are taxing emissions from regular cars." Using taxes to encourage consumers to shift to cleaner energy can be tricky for a government — protests have erupted in France over a fuel tax that hurt the livelihood of poorer families, especially in rural areas where driving is often the only means of transportation. In the U.S, some would like to see the tax credit on EVs and hybrids eliminated while others would extend it. In this sense, Norway is an outlier. The country is very wealthy after exporting for decades the kind of fossil fuels the world is trying to wean itself off of. Incomes are higher than the rest of Europe, as are prices.

The average new vehicle sold in America loses nearly half of its initial value after five years of ownership. No surprise there; we all expect that shiny new car to start depreciating as soon as we drive it off the lot. But some vehicles lose value a lot faster than others. According to data provided by iSeeCars.com, trucks and truck-based sport utility vehicles generally hold their value better than other vehicle types, with the Jeep Wrangler — in both four-door Unlimited and standard two-door styles — and Toyota Tacoma sitting at the head of the pack. The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited's average five-year depreciation of 30.9% equals a loss in value of $12,168. That makes Jeep's four-door off-roader the best overall pick for buyers looking to minimize depreciation. The Toyota Tacoma's 32.4% loss in initial value means it loses just $10,496. The smaller dollar amount — the least amount of money lost after five years — indicates that Tacoma buyers pay less than Wrangler Unlimited buyers, on average, when they initially buy the vehicle. The standard two-door Jeep Wrangler is third on the list, depreciating 32.8% after five years and losing $10,824. On the other side of the depreciation coin, luxury sedans tend to plummet in value at a much faster rate than other vehicle types. The BMW 7 Series leads the losers with a 72.6% drop in value after five years, which equals an alarming $73,686. BMW's slightly smaller 5 Series is next, depreciating 70.1%, or $47,038, over the same period. Number three on the biggest losers list is the Nissan Leaf, the only electric vehicle to appear in the bottom 10. The electric hatchback matches the 5 Series with a 70.1% drop in value, but since it's a much cheaper vehicle, that percentage equals a much smaller $23,470 loss.
