First production Volvo P1800 stolen

Want further proof that car thieves are the scum of the Earth? Some crooks in Sweden made off with a prized Volvo - the very first production P1800. The P1800, a two-door coupe, is a classic that's been growing in popularity over the years, thanks in no small part to its gorgeous sheetmetal.
This particular example, wearing chassis number two, wears red paint with a white interior. It was swiped from a locked storage facility in Stockholm, according to Hemmings, between August 21 and 22. The P1800 was owned by Mats Eriksson, vice president of the Swedish P1800 Club, who had given it a thorough restoration. Features to look out for on this particular car include the unique wheel covers shown in the gallery, and two different registration plates - C28000 and ACZ 780.
Larmtjänst AB, a non-profit that fights vehicle crimes in Sweden, is accepting any and all information pertaining from the theft. Volvo working to allow groceries delivered to your car, even when you aren't there

Volvo cites research showing that 60 percent of online shoppers had problems with their deliveries in 2013, and that missed first deliveries cost the industry roughly one billion euros ($1.37B US) in re-delivery costs, as impetus for its "Roam Delivery Service" that delivers packages to your car. The service uses Volvo On Call and Sensus Connect car-connectivity and telematics apps already installed in vehicles, and a digital key with a timed window of operation.
The car owner is notified if delivery to or pickup from the car would be the best option, which they then have the option to approve or decline. If approved, the position of the vehicle is sent to the delivery driver, as well as a digital key that can open the car. Once the delivery has been made, the owner is notified and the digital key is erased, leaving only a time stamp to record when the car was opened and then locked.
The technology will be shown to the public at the Mobile World Congress later this month. There's a video and a press release below with more on the details.

Genesis Genesis has not yet released a commercial prior to the Super Bowl, but it is the official luxury vehicle of the NFL. Because of this, Genesis is hosting a fan experience for 10 days before the game. It will showcase the brand's cars, offer games, and have photos opportunities and autograph days. Hyundai Jason Bateman alert! Hyundai is one of the few companies to hook a major celebrity for its advertisement, and the casting is perfect.
