2001 Volvo S80 T6 Executive Edition for sale. Clean title. Automatic transmission with available tiptronic manual sport shifting. 127k miles. This is the top of the line model with every option. FULLY LOADED. Drives very well and comfortably, it's like riding on a cloud!. It gets above average gas mileage surprisingly(being such a large and powerful car). This is a high performance 2.8L I6 Twin Turbo 268hp engine and it requires premium fuel only! Very roomy and comfortable 4 door sedan with heated, power adjusted leather seats. The perfect combination of luxury and sport from Swedish engineers. Black exterior paint which is glossy and in decent shape. The car is not brand new so it would be unrealistic to expect mint condition. It has minor scratches and dings nothing terribly obvious. Interior I would rate at a 8/10. The car was purchased as a spare until we could shop around and buy a new car. We just bought that brand new car so now we need to make some room. The KBB value is estimated at $2,971 - $5,449, and similar cars are selling for between $4000 and $5000+.

It does leak some oil. Haven't had time to look to see exactly where it's coming from, but it could be something as simple as an oil pan gasket, I'm not sure. As long as the oil is full, there's no worries. Lastly, the exhaust emits some smoke, probably due to the oil leak, the excess is being burnt off. Volvo shows inflatable child seat concept [w/video]
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Volvo is bringing its emphasis on safety and design to the littlest members of the family with its concept for an inflatable, rearward facing child safety seat. The design is meant to help traveling families by offering a lighter and less bulky alternative to traditional car seats.
The design is quite ingenious. The seat is covered in drop-stitched fabric, which fills with air to create the form of the seat. An electric motor in it allows inflation and deflation in less than 40 seconds, according to Volvo. It weighs less than 5 kilograms (11 pounds) and folds small enough when collapsed to fit into a bag. It even has a Bluetooth connection, so parents can begin expanding it remotely.
The inflatable seat in the brainchild of Lawrence Abele, Volvo's design manager at its Monitoring and Concept Center in Los Angeles, CA. "For many, travelling with young children is a challenge; any assistance to simplify the parents' life with young children is a great thing," he said in a statement released by Volvo. The chair remains a concept for now, and the automaker isn't saying whether it's going to put it into production, but it's a clever solution to a common problem. New Volvo ad remembers the joy of rear-facing jump seats
Mon, 19 May 2014With the rise in popularity of first the minivan and later the crossover as the default family vehicle, there have been about 20 years of children who have missed out on the joy of rear-facing jump seats in station wagons. It means kids today don't know the pleasure to be found in making faces or lewd gestures at other drivers while their parents can't see. Plus, they don't know the slightly nauseous feeling of watching the world pass by in reverse. However, a group of filmmakers look back with nostalgia at this increasingly uncommon automotive feature in a new ad for the 2015 Volvo V60.
As part of its sponsorship of the National Film Festival for Talented Youth, Volvo commissions a team each year to create an advertisement to be shown during the festival. This year's shows how the company's buyers have gone from riding in the back to driving the brand's cars. Tony Nicolosi named CEO of Volvo Cars North America
Fri, 04 Oct 2013Volvo announced today that it has named Tony Nicolosi, president and CEO of Volvo Car Financial Services VCFS), as the new CEO of Volvo Cars of North America (VCNA). Nicolosi replaces John Maloney, who chose to leave due to family obligations after Volvo offered him a position in Europe.
Volvo says Nicolosi will remain president and CEO of VCFS while he assumes VCNA's top position. The Swedish automaker also says a "permanent successor [to Maloney] as President and CEO will be the subject of a later announcement."
The move comes as part of a management shakeup that's part of a "larger transformation taking place at Volvo," the automaker says.
