This is a 2005 S60R. It has around 135,000 miles. Never been in any accidents, now the good first- The overall condition is good, inside and out. Their is some normal wear/scratches/chips on the paint. The inside of car is in very good condition,, the only blemish is the driver seat has a tear, and ever Volvo I have owned has tore in the same place. Last year I had a couple of major items replaced. The first was a new AWD system, new transmission and gear box, new fuel pressure regulator totally over $8,000.00. Now the bad- The top end of the engine is blown, while driving the timing belt broke, It is actually cheaper to replace the engine, then to fix it. Do not understand that! but it will cost around $1900.00 for a good used engine and around $1,000.00 to install, I would do this myself, but my daughter is getting ready to get her licence and this car is just to fast for her first car, and I drive the same car, So I need replace this car with a calmer Volvo thus the sell of the car. for the asking price/ + the $3000.00 to put an engine in you will have a completely rebuilt car. I have owned 5 Volvo's and by far this is the most fun to drive. The car is AS IS no warranty- I will go thru entire car with you, if you stop by or by email.

Volvo joins Australia's V8 Supercars series [w/video]
Mon, 17 Jun 2013It was just a rumor, but now it's official, mates: Volvo will be joining the V8 Supercars series in Australia with an official team for 2014. Volvo is partnering with Garry Rogers Motorsport and its own Polestar tuning firm to create Volvo Polestar Racing.
A V8 engine will be produced by the Swedish arm of the racing effort, and will be supplied to the Garry Rogers team, which will get the whole shebang ready for the track. The outfit will be running two V8 Supercars "based on the production S60 road car." Considering that the S60 uses a range of transversely mounted engines with four, five or six cylinders (powering either the front or all four wheels) while the new race car will employ a V8 sending about 650 horsepower to the rear wheels, make that very loosely based on the production S60...
Volvo claims this is the first factory-backed entry in the V8 Supercars series from a luxury brand. We should note, though, that Mercedes-Benz is represented in the series with an E-Class sedan, but that outfit isn't quite an official entry from the car's German parents. In any case, you're encouraged to watch the teaser video and read the press release below for all the details.
Volvo XC90 prototype spied for the first time ever
Mon, 03 Feb 2014Despite its advanced age, the Volvo XC90 remains a highly competent luxury SUV. The design has aged nicely, and it's clear from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety naming the big Volvo a Top Safety Pick + that the safety-minded Swedes behind it knew what they were doing. Still, even the finest cars need replacing, especially after nearly 12 years on sale.
Here we have the first spy shots of the next-generation XC90, under development somewhere cold (at this rate, it could be anywhere from Arvidsjaur to Atlanta). Now, as our spy photogs point out, this is the real deal, judging by all that camo over the vehicle. There's a production body under there, rather than this being a mule with the old vehicle's skin on top of it.
It's difficult to make out much because of all the camo, although there are some similarities to both the Concept XC Coupe from the Detroit Auto Show and a batch of teaser images we showed you earlier this year. We can see the greenhouse retains a shape similar to the current XC90, although the beltline climbs rather aggressively once past the C pillar, much like it does on the Concept XC Coupe. In back, Volvo has eschewed tall, vertical lights in favor of more conventional units, which we expect to be similar to what we saw in the teaser images. We'd bargain that there will be a traditional rectangular grille, like what you can see on the concept. The headlights, meanwhile, should wear T-shaped LED elements, like the teaser images.
Apple announces CarPlay in-car iPhone interface
Mon, 03 Mar 2014Apple, maker of tech items like the iPhone, iPad and Mac line of computers, is extending its reach into the automotive market, making a fairly big announcement ahead of the Geneva Motor Show. No, it hasn't bought Tesla (yet). Instead, Apple has announced CarPlay, an all-new means of controlling an iPhone through your car.
Now, this doesn't strike us as some gimmicky thing. It's become increasingly common for automakers to take advantage of the high-speed data streams its customers enjoy on their smartphones in order to integrate navigation, traffic, audio and other infotainment items into a car's touchscreen interface. The Chevrolet Spark and Sonic are two prime examples of this move, using an iPhone's data stream for Siri integration and data for a third-party navigation app.
Owners will be able to plug in their iPhones to their cars via the USB port and gain control of a number of the device's functions, all through a car's touchscreen.
