2005 Volvo S60 R Sedan 4-door 2.5l (6) Six Speed S60r Standard With Extras on 2040-cars
East Granby, Connecticut, United States
Our Volvo S60R has been wonderful to us for 4 years, 65K, while we’ve owned it. It has 144K gentle miles. It sports a 6 speed standard transmission, Optional Volvo Blue Tooth, Optional Volvo 350W High Output Amp with Dolby Pro Logic Stereo and Optional Heico Stainless High Output Muffler. My wife has used this for her primary vehicle with no issues of any kind. It comes fully loaded with the exception of factory navigation. All S60R issues from 2004 were addressed for 2005. It sports 330HP (with Heico cat-back Muffler, 300HP without) and is AWD. Included are 4 winter R wheels, another R wheel with tire (not pictured), Volvo all-weather front and rear mats and an Aftermarket set of front wet weather mat covers. The car has been garaged every week day while at work. That's the good. Now the bad: During the last oil change at the dealer, we were informed the right Tie-rod end needs to be replaced. The “Not so Ugly”: 18 months or so ago, our Volvo dealer replaced a front OEM H.I.D. headlight assembly and front bumper after a friend backed into us while in the driveway. (Volvo bumpers are color matched at the factory so there’s no painting needed) A couple months ago our Volvo dealer replaced the rear bumper after someone backed into her while she was navigating through her work’s parking garage. No repaint was done and invoices of the dealer’s work are available upon request. Because these three items were full replacements with no other work required, these two incidents are not considered as "Accidents" but rather as "Replaced Parts". Please ask us ANY questions you may have. Price is firm so please look elsewhere if you can’t afford to buy. This is a rare find for a S60R with a 6 Speed. Many more miles and joy left in our Volvo. Thank you and please remember to ask all questions before buying. A $200 NON REFUNDABLE deposit due immediately via PayPal with the final sale in cash must be done within 3 Days. This is listed locally and may be removed for any reason.
FIRST SHOWING WILL BE ON FRIDAY THE 25th OF JULY. WE ARE NOT AVAILABALE BEFORE THEN, SORRY.
...something to note about the S60R...It has an onboard computer that monitors things like avg. speed and avg. mpg. We regularly get 24-25 mpg. average and 27-28 when on highway only - NOT the 19/23 KBB reports.
We've received several requests for a price without the set of rims and mats. Cash price in person - like buying locally outside of "you know who" so no selling fees, would be $6,700 |

10 best new car deals in late September 2021
Wed, Sep 29 2021New car sales were drastically affected in 2020 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but things started to show signs of recovery toward the end of the year before really coming on strong in the early months of 2021. Now there's an ongoing shortage of microchips causing a great deal of pricing fluctuation and a limited supply of certain vehicles. That doesn't mean there aren't still great deals on new cars, though. Using data provided by TrueCar, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best automotive deals for September 2021. WeÂ’ve noted the original MSRP, the average transaction price, and the total savings in both dollars and as a percentage of the original sticker price. Basically, weÂ’ve done all the hard work for you! So now, all you need to do is compare deals, go on a few test drives, and maybe drive away in a great car (and an even better bargain).
Volvo V90 Cross Country vs V60 Cross Country Luggage Test | Comparing cargo areas
Fri, Jun 4 2021While the Audi A6 Allroad and Mercedes E 450 All-Terrain have disappointed us with their poseur levels of capability and questionable value, that is not the case with the other midsize luxury off-roadish wagon: the 2021 Volvo V90 Cross Country. It has genuinely useful extra ground clearance and a lower, more sensible price. But what about that other element of wagon goodness, utility? Although I have not luggage-tested the Allroad or All-Terrain, Road Test Editor Zac Palmer effectively did so using different luggage and different A6/E-Class wagon variants. Our results are therefore only vaguely comparable. My guess is the Mercedes would win the day and the V90 would top the Audi, but again, that's just a guess. I have, however, luggage-tested Volvo's smaller off-roadish wagon, the V60 Cross Country. Surprisingly, the difference between Cross Countries isn't that great. According to Volvo's wonderfully detailed cargo specifications that indicate what exactly they measured (hint hint, every other car company), the V90 Cross Country (above left) has 25.5 cubic-feet of space behind the back seat from floor to roof. The V60 Cross Country (right) has 23.2 cubic feet. That's not much of a difference. However, Volvo also provides the cargo area length from the seat base to the liftgate. That's a bigger difference on paper: 45.4 inches for the V90 and 40.7 inches for the V60. That would play out once I brought the luggage into the equation. Before we get to the bags, though, take one more look at the above comparison photo. Check out the different D pillars and specifically how much more upright the V60's are. That's my guess as to why the V90 cargo area manages to be so much longer, yet has only a minor volume difference. Same bags, same formation, different Volvo wagons. You clearly see here that there's more length available in the V90. Five inches more? I don't know about that, but you nevertheless DO get more space. As with every luggage test I do, I use two midsize roller suitcases that would need to be checked in at the airport (26 inches long, 16 wide, 11 deep), two roll-aboard suitcases that just barely fit in the overhead (24L x 15W x 10D), and one smaller roll-aboard that fits easily (23L x 15W x 10D). I also include my wife's fancy overnight bag just to spruce things up a bit (21L x 12W x 12D).
Chip maker Nvidia adds Volvo to list of self-driving partners
Tue, Jun 27 2017Chipmaker Nvidia Corp announced on Monday it was partnering with Volvo Cars and Swedish auto supplier Autoliv to develop self-driving car technology for vehicles due to hit the market by 2021. Volvo is owned by China's Geely Automobile Holdings. Silicon Valley-based Nvidia also announced a non-exclusive partnership with German automotive suppliers ZF and Hella for artificial intelligence technology for autonomous driving. Nvidia came to prominence in the gaming industry for designing graphics processing chips, but in recent years has been a key player in the automotive sector for providing the so-called "brain" of the autonomous vehicle. The company, whose many partners already include Tesla, Toyota, Ford, Audi, BMW, and tier one supplier Robert Bosch, announced its latest deals at an automotive electronics show in Ludwigsburg, Germany. Nvidia's Drive PX artificial intelligence platform is used by Tesla in its Models S and X and upcoming Model 3 electric vehicles. Volkswagen AG's Audi is also using the system to reach full autonomous driving by 2020. In a call with reporters, Nvidia's senior automotive director Danny Shapiro said carmakers and their main suppliers are now moving away from the research and development phase of autonomous vehicles and into concrete production plans. The system developed jointly by ZF and Hella, and using Nvidia's Drive PX platform, will combine front cameras with radar and software to create technology meeting the Euro NCAP safety certification for so-called "Level 3" driving, in which some, but not all, driving is performed by the car. Volvo is already using the Drive PX for the self-driving cars in its "Drive Me" autonomous pilot program. Volvo's production vehicles built on Nvidia's platform, as announced on Monday, are planned for sale by 2021.Reporting By Alexandria SageRelated Video: Auto News Green Tesla Toyota Volvo Technology Emerging Technologies Autonomous Vehicles nvidia autoliv
