2010 Volvo C70 Convertible. I am the original owner. The car has just been service by the dealer. A great car for year round driving.  With the automatic retractable hardtop, you can drive on the expressway without the road noise of a soft top convertible. It has bluetooth with usb and it can control iphone and import playlist, that can be controlled by the steering wheel controls or the radio.  Screen displays playlists and can search by artist, song name, etc.

It has keyless entry and start. Heated front seats.
I have attached the window sticker in the pictures.

Car has received regular oil changes, and dealer servicing.  If you have any questions I can be reached at 219-306-1211.  I have the car for sale locally and reserve the right to end auction early.

Here is what Edmunds says about it :

Review of the 2010 Volvo C70

  • With its retractable hardtop, attractive interior, well-mannered ride and long list of safety features, the 2010 Volvo C70 is a prime contender in the premium convertible segment, but milquetoast performance means some competitors will leave it behind.

  • Pros

Convenient retractable hardtop, good visibility for a convertible, signature Volvo safety innovations, decent rear legroom, relatively large trunk, available audio system designed for open-air listening.

  • Cons

Mediocre performance compared to the competitive pack, confusing audio/Bluetooth/navigation controls.

  • What's New for 2010

The 2010 Volvo C70 gets miniscule updates for the new model year, mainly in the form of option-package shuffling and new adjustable front headrests.

  • Introduction

When the second-generation Volvo C70 was introduced in 2006, its retractable hardtop roof was still a novelty and caused passersby to stop and stare at the mechanical marvel. And in the roughly 30 seconds it takes to drop the top, they also had time to admire the car's fluid lines. This show of engineering strength and design style went a long way in helping the Swedish car company shed its dowdy image of building only durable but blocky wagons.

The car has been a minor hit with those in the market for a luxury convertible, and so Volvo has given the second-generation C70 only minor tweaks in the last few years. The 2010 model plays it safe by sticking with a successful formula, including retaining a turbocharged five-cylinder engine, which also means the car is built more for comfort than speed when compared to some of its competitors.

While the luxury convertible segment is a small one -- and the list of retractable hardtops is even smaller -- the group has grown to include the formidable BMW 3 Series and, just this year, the Infiniti G37 and Lexus IS C convertibles. Volkswagen's Eos is another contender. Overall, we still think the 2010 Volvo C70 is worth consideration, but its practicality, good looks and great safety alone might not be enough to win you over with a purchase.

Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options

The 2010 Volvo C70 is a four-passenger luxury convertible with a retractable hardtop, and it's available in only one trim level, the T5. It comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, a power-retractable hardtop, front and rear foglights and heated outside mirrors. Standard interior features include eight-way power front seats (with driver memory), automatic dual-zone climate control, full power accessories, cruise control, Bluetooth and an eight-speaker audio system with a CD/MP3 player, auxiliary audio/USB jacks and HD radio.

Four option packages are available for the C70, along with a surplus of stand-alone upgrades. The Premium package includes leather seats, an auto-dimming review mirror and satellite radio. The Climate package adds heated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, and Volvo's Interior Air Quality System. The Dynamic package gets buyers 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-xenon headlights and a three-spoke leather steering wheel with aluminum inlays. Going with the Multimedia package equips the C70 with a Dynaudio premium sound system with 14 speakers and a hard-disc navigation system with real-time traffic updates. Other stand-alone options include keyless ignition, rear park assist, a blind-spot monitor, interior wood inlays and premium leather upholstery.

Powertrains and Performance

The power plant for the 2010 C70 is Volvo's venerable turbocharged 2.5-liter inline five-cylinder engine that produces 227 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transmission or an optional five-speed automatic with manual-shift control. The automatic-transmission C70 gets 19 mpg city/28 mpg highway and 22 mpg combined, while the manual models get 20 city/28 highway and 23 mpg combined, according to the EPA.

Safety

Along with antilock disc brakes with brake assist, standard safety features for the 2010 Volvo C70 include stability control, front-seat side airbags, side curtain airbags for front passengers, roll bars that deploy in the case of a roll-over accident, and whiplash reducing front head restraints. In crash tests, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety awarded the C70 its highest rating of "Good" for frontal-offset and side impact protection.

Interior Design and Special Features

The C70's cabin is anchored by Volvo's signature "waterfall" center stack, which is slightly angled so the main controls are closer at hand. The controls used to access stereo, Bluetooth and navigation functions are clunky and not intuitive, but Volvo's trademark "reclining man" climate controls are virtually idiot-proof. The optional wood trim dresses up the center stack, albeit with an IKEA-like feel -- overall, the cabin isn't as rich as others in this class. More desirable is the optional Dynaudio system, which is one of the best-sounding open-air audio experiences available from any automaker.

Most people will find the C70's front seats comfortable, and a button on each backrest slides the seats forward for easier access to the rear seats. Rear legroom isn't expansive, but compared to most other luxury convertibles, the C70 actually provides decent room for children or small adults.

With the top up, trunk capacity is a generous 12.8 cubic feet, though with the top down it drops to less than half of that at 6 cubes. A button in the trunk activates the C70's standard Load Assist feature that lifts the compacted roof assembly a few inches to create a bit more space for small items. In total, the C70 is more cargo-friendly than its retractable-hardtop rivals.

Driving Impressions

Top-down driving in a convertible is usually a compromise, trading a quiet interior and a firm chassis feel for the sun in your face, the wind in your hair (and in your ears) and inherent body flex. But the 2010 Volvo C70 remains relatively rigid over bumps and dips, and the softly sprung suspension makes it a comfy daily commuter and cordial highway cruiser.

Watch Volvo's V8 Supercar drivers play with the Polestar S60 in the Arctic

Thu, 03 Apr 2014

The Volvo S60 Polestar may not seem like a natural fit for the V8 Supercars series that runs throughout Australia, New Zealand and Tasmania. After all, the all-wheel-drive production-spec car isn't even available with a V8. But the rear-wheel-drive racing version has acquitted itself well in the early races of the season, even scoring an overall win at a race in Melbourne. Currently at seventh place in the championship, the S60 the most successful car that isn't a Holden or Ford.
To celebrate its burgeoning success, Volvo sent its V8 Supercars drivers Robert Dahlgren and Scott McLaughlin to home base in Sweden to have some fun driving in the snow and to visit Polestar headquarters. The two of them do some big power slides on an icy lake and then taker a deeper look into the company's performance division. Scroll down to watch the video full of sliding Swedish sedans.

Volvo reapplies to trademark the term C60

Wed, Dec 28 2022

Perusing the database at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, CarBuzz happened on a trademark application Volvo cars filed for the term C60. Submitted earlier this month, on December 14, the mark would cover "Vehicles and Products for locomotion by land, air or water." Sounds like a car to us. Knowing the way trademarks go — which means knowing we might never see them on a production vehicle — this could be Volvo hedging a very long bet. The easiest guess as to where C60 might fit in the lineup is as the crossover coupe version of the XC60 Recharge, following the mold of the XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge (pictured). With the current, second-gen XC60 having arrived for the 2018 model year, we would think a C60 version waits until a heavy facelift or new generation to join the party, assuming it ever happens. What's not hypothetical is Volvo's long-term involvement with the C60 alphanumeric. Going deeper into the USPTO files, seems Volvo first applied to trademark C60 on September 5, 2001, the same day the automaker also applied to lock down C40. Volvo traded paperwork with the government agency until 2009, when the carmaker abandoned both C40 and C60 in March of that year. Oddly, two months before, in January 2009, Volvo had reapplied to trademark C40 and C60, then abandoned both again seven years later, in July 2016. Again, oddly, nine months before the second abandonment, Volvo had reapplied yet again to trademark both C40 and C60. That was in November 2015. The USPTO granted Volvo the rights to the mark at the end of 2016, and it remains valid. So Volvo's latest submission is the continuance of the mark it's owned for six years and been toying with for 21. Volvo Cars owns the XC40 and XC40 Recharge trademarks, as well as C40, but it doesn't own a C40 Recharge trademark, the latter being the name of the production model. It took 20 years from Volvo's first idea of the C40 for us to get a production version. We don't know what a potential C60 will be, but it shouldn't be too far away. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Volvo adds 48V hybrid system to a bunch of 2022 models

Sun, Aug 1 2021

In 2019, Volvo announced an updated powertrain fitted with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. The integrated starter-generator and regenerative brake-by-wire refilling a small battery could increase fuel economy by up to 15% in real-world driving. There are three layouts, dubbed B4, B5, and B6 that the Swedish automaker's already been rolling out globally. Next year two of them, the B5 and B6, come to the U.S. for the first time under the 2022 Volvo S60, S90, V90 XC, and XC60. The EPA's fuel economy site shows all of those models making small fuel economy gains, too. The B4 and B5 powertrains contain both gas and diesel mild-hybrids, the B6 is gas-only. All of the gas options (Volvo doesn't offer diesels here) will start with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, the B5 adding a turbocharger, the B6 adding a turbocharger and a supercharger.  Per the EPA, the front-wheel drive 2021 Volvo S60 returns 23 miles per gallon in the city, 34 on the highway, and 27 combined. The new 2022 Volvo S60 B5 betters that with 26 city, 35 highway, and 30 combined. The 2022 S60 B5 AWD bests the 2021 model with the both versions of the non-hybrid 2.0-liter engine by one to three miles per gallon in nearly every category. The only model that does better, for obvious reasons, is the 2021 S60 AWD PHEV, which has been renamed S60 T8 AWD Recharge. The 2022 Volvo XC60 comes in AWD B5 spec with the turbocharged 2.0-liter, and AWD B6 spec with the turbo- and supercharged 2.0-liter. Gains are smaller here, the EPA showing a one-mpg increase in the city when comparing the 2021 XC60 to the 2022 B5 model. With the B6 powertrain, the 2022 XC60 improves by one mpg in the city and combined compared to the 2021 model. The EPA site doesn't show a front-drive XC60 for next year, and the XC60 AWD PHEV is already referred to as the XC60 T8 AWD Recharge. It's possible horsepower ratings will change slightly for the mild-hybrid rigs next year, but not enough to change the driving experience. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party.
