2004 Volvo C70 Turbo Convertible...low Miles And Very Clean on 2040-cars
Kerrville, Texas, United States
OUR VOLVO HAS BROUGHT US LOTS OF PLEASUABLE HOURS AND MILES OF "TOP BACK" RIDING,,,IN TEXAS WE MOSTLY RIDE "TOPLESS" IN THE LATE AFTERNOON , EARLY EVENING TO AVOID THE HEAT OF THE DAY. IT IS VERY SOOTHING TO RIDE AND LET THE WIND BLOOW IN OUR HAIR AND RELAX US, WE HATE THAT THIS WILL COME TO AN END AS WE ARE SELLING OUR "SEWDISH BABY" AS WE ARE HAVING TO DOWNSIZE OUR VEHICLE EXPENSES. BEING RETIRED AND ON "FIXED" INCOME MAKES SOME THINGS NECESSARY. SO ....SOME LUCKY PERSON(S) WILL BE ABLE TO ENJOY OUR VOLVO AS MUCH AS WE HAVE. YOU WILL NOT REGET BUYING THIS VEHICLE...VOLVO'S ARE VERY WELL BUILT, DEPENDABLE VEHICLES! IT DOES HAVE ONE PROBLEM...THE RADIO AM& FM WORKS FINE...THE CD & CASSETTE PLAYER HAS A PROBLEM. I DO NOT KNOW HOW SERIOUS BUT I FOUND SEVERAL AT SALVAGE DEALERS FOR $50-$100...I HAVE ADJUSTED THE PRICE TO COMPENSATE.I KNOW OF NO OTHER PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR, THE CAR DOES HAVE A LIEN BUT I WILL PAY OFF THE BANK WHEN CAR SELLS. IF BUYER WANTS CAR SHIPPED WE WILL CERTAINLY ARRANGE TO GET CAR TO WHOMEVER BUYER HIRES TO HAVE PICKED UP. WE WILL "NOT BE RESPONSIBLE" BUT WILL GLADLY HELP TO GET IT SHPPED....WITHIN REASON! |

Volvo S60 Polestar entering limited production in Australia [w/video]
Wed, 10 Apr 2013The Volvo S60 Polestar Concept may be entering limited production in Australia and, depending how the Aussies take to this Swedish super sports sedan, could then be made available worldwide. The news comes from Austrlia's GoAuto, which claims to have received early info from its sources inside Volvo and its tuning/motorsport arm, Polestar.
Polestar released a short teaser video this week (watch it below) of what appears to be the S60 Polestar Concept clipping the snowy apex of an ice track's turn. The only information given with the teaser were the words "Limited Edition. Soon in Australia." Unveiled last June, the S60 Polestar concept has since made the rounds at auto shows, visited Jay Leno's Garage, played on the track with its future competition, and even secured a home for itself with a buyer who reportedly is paying Volvo some $300,000 to own it.
The S60 Polestar Concept is about the meanest machine one can imagine making out of Volvo's sports sedan. Packing 508 horsepower and 424 pound-feet of torque from its heavily modified T6 engine, then routing those revolutions through a six-speed manual transmission to all four wheels, the S60 Polestar is said to cover the sprint to 62 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds. A lower and wider body, brakes by Brembo, suspension bits by Ohlins and a diet to delete some weight make this car a serious issue for M3 and C63 AMG owners everywhere. GoAuto's sources say the production version's performance will be dialed back a bit from the concept's, but we'll have to wait until Volvo and Polestar make this sedan's production official to find out by how much.
Next-generation Volvo XC90 interior revealed
Tue, 27 May 2014Volvo has officially kicked off the slow burn that will lead to the eventual unveiling of the next-generation XC90, in August. Its initial foray into the public eye will be with these, a series of 20 images of the new three-row SUVs interior, which is very, very Swedish (there are even the most adorable little Swedish flags on the seats).
In all, it looks like a positively sumptuous place to sit, with sharp looking woods and a crystal shifter, crafted by Orrefors Glassworks in Sweden. It's a clean, minimalist design that we imagine will age quite nicely.
Featured quite prominently - and the main part of the cabin that doesn't strike us as minimalist - is the very large touchscreen. Aligned in a portrait layout, which hasn't been done by too many automakers, it will be home to a new type of infotainment system that will make its debut in Volvo's flagship SUV. It also looks like we can expect digital gauges when the XC90 finally arrives.
Volvo: Tesla's Autopilot is just a 'wannabe'
Fri, Apr 29 2016Using the words "unsupervised wannabe" in an interview with The Verge, Volvo's Trent Victor says the Tesla Autopilot is "giving the impression it's doing more than it is." According to Victor, Tesla's self-driving tech is merely appearing to be autonomous because, with the Tesla system, the driver has to be fully alert all the time, ready to regain control. Tesla says its system is Level 2 autonomous, although some experts regard it as Level 3, which means it takes over safety-critical functions from the driver. Volvo says it pays more attention to actual crash avoidance, and that its Drive Me system is Level 4 autonomous, meaning that in the event of a hazardous situation the vehicle will handle the appropriate procedures and bring itself to a halt in a safe fashion. There will be no need for the driver to take action, which is important in case the driver has been incapacitated while the Drive Me autopilot has been controlling the car. Another thing with the Volvo setup is that it monitors the road in case of a conflict situation, or someone suddenly appearing in front of the car, be it a pedestrian or a runaway child. Tesla has never said that its Autopilot is anything other than a beta version under trial usage. It costs $2,500 when you purchase your Model 2 or X, or $3,000 as a add-on once you've taken delivery. The company also just announced that it would offer Autopilot for free as part of a one-month trial. Tesla declined to comment on Volvo's comment.
