2004 Volvo C70 Convertible Runs Great 101k No Rust Needs Some Cosmetics 1 Owner on 2040-cars
Boynton Beach, Florida, United States
I HAVE TO SAY, I LOVE DRIVING THIS CAR. IT RUNS SMOOTHLY AND THE MOTOR HAS GREAT POWER WITH NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND NO ISSUES. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS GREAT AND THE SUSPENSION IS FINE. 80% LEFT ON THE TIRES AND EVERYTHING WORKS INCLUDING THE TOP, WINDOWS, ICE COLD AC AND HOT HEAT. CRUISE WORKS AS WELL AS THE POWER SEATS. THE MOTOR HAS NO LEAKS AND IS DRY AS A BONE. 90% OF THE COSMETIC ISSUES ON THIS CAR HAPPENED BECAUSE OF THE FLORIDA SUN. THE CAR IS GREAT ON THE HIGHWAY AND AROUND TOWN. GOOD GAS MILEAGE AND BEST OF ALL IT'S A ONE OWNER CAR. THE TITLE WAS ISSUED ON 09/09/2004 AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN A FLORIDA CAR SO NO RUST ISSUES. NEW BATTERY AND RECENT BRAKES. ALWAYS MAINTAINED MECHANICALLY. PLEASE CALL 561-318-0010 FOR ANY QUESTIONS OR JUST SEND A MESSAGE THROUGH EBAY. THANKS AND GOOD LUCK.
THIS IS AN ORIGINAL PAINT CAR SO WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET. IT'S STRAIGHT. THE COSMETIC ISSUES CAN BE ADDRESSED OVER TIME WHILE YOU ARE ENJOYING DRIVING IT. THE SEATS CAN BE RECOVERED IN CLOTH WHICH IS MY PREFERENCE FOR A CONVERTIBLE FOR A FEW HUNDRED BUCKS AND THE REST OF THE LITTLE STUFF CAN BE ADDRESSED IN TIME BECAUSE NONE OF IT IS URGENT. I HAVEN'T HAD THE CAR DETAILED SO I'M SURE AT MOST OF THE BLEMISHES WILL DISAPPEAR WITH A BUFF JOB. I DON'T WANT TO TALK THE CAR DOWN BECAUSE OUT OF MY MINI, MY SL500 AND MY JAGUAR, THIS IS MY FAVORITE TO DRIVE AND THAT'S THE TRUTH. IT'S COMFORTABLE AND SMOOTH AND LOOKS REALLY NICE AS WELL. IF YOU NEVER HAD ONE OF THESE AND DON'T WANT TO SPEND THE 6-9000 DOLLARS THEY ARE ASKING FOR 2004s THEN THIS CAR WILL BE A GREAT BUY. I HOPE YOU LOVE IT AS MUCH AS I DO. |

2021 Volvo XC90 Recharge Road Test Review | I could've had a T8!
Tue, Mar 16 2021Second thoughts … sometimes even buyerÂ’s remorse. Nagging doubts can follow life's big decisions — and buying a car is a biggie. Was it the right choice? Or as the poet said: "You may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile / And you may ask yourself, 'Well, how did I get here?'" Two years ago, I bought a 2017 Volvo XC90 lease return with 11,000 miles on it. I hadnÂ’t expected to find an XC90 within my budget, but this one was attractively priced because it, A) was a T5, meaning turbo-only; B) had the base Momentum interior; and C) was a third-row delete, which was a turnoff to other car shoppers. Otherwise, it was heavily optioned and seemed like it would serve my family well and keep them safe. And it has. It has lots of room. It drives as well as any medium-large SUV can. The tough leatherette endures the abuse of dogs and kids and the dirt of outdoor activities. The legendary Volvo seats have comforted and supported us, even on a 750-mile day from California to Washington. We've routinely seen highway mileage go past 30 mpg. And the off-road mode was surefooted during last month's nationwide snowfall. The carÂ’s great. And yet, while at the Volvo dealership for complimentary service, sipping the waiting-room coffee and wandering the showroom, you see the cars you could have bought, had you spent more money — a turbo-and-supercharged T6, or the twin-charged-plus-plug-in-hybrid Recharge (previously known by the powertrain's name of T8). And with Volvo's elegant Inscription interiors. Would they have provided a better ownership experience than our secondhand lower-rung model? One doesnÂ’t often get a do-over to answer such questions. But a recent week in a 2021 Volvo XC90 Recharge provided a drive down the nicer road not taken. The differences between a 2017 T5 Momentum and the 2021 Recharge Inscription are many, and also few. They're basically the same car, same dimensions inside and out, same overall feel. Panoramic sunroof, same. Massive cargo hold, same — though because ours lacks the third row, it gains a large secret underfloor storage compartment. Both XC90s have roof rails, but the rails on the new car are flush-mounted versus the '17's raised rails (youÂ’d need different crossbar towers for each).
Volvo leads and Mini fails in JD Power's Tech Experience Index
Wed, Aug 19 2020New cars are basically rolling computers. Everything from the engine to the infotainment runs on a series of ones and zeros, and a lot of that technology requires input from the driver. So it's no surprise that JD Power has a study designed specifically to discern which bits of tech drivers love and which bits they loathe. "New technology continues to be a primary factor in the vehicle purchase decision," says JD Power's Kristin Kolodge, executive director of driver interaction & human machine interface research. "However, it’s critical for automakers to offer features that owners find intuitive and reliable. The user experience plays a major role in whether an owner will use the technology on a regular basis or abandon it and feel like they wasted their money." The J.D. Power 2020 U.S. Tech Experience Index (TXI) Study found that Volvo owners are happiest with the technology packed inside their vehicles, followed by BMW and Cadillac, all brands that JD Power classifies as premium. The highest-rated mainstream brand is Hyundai, followed by Subaru and Kia. As was the case with the organization's Initial Quality and APEAL studies, Tesla's numbers aren't officially included because they are the only automaker that has not granted JD Power approval to contact its owners in states that require it. Tesla's projected score of 593 would have put it in second place, right behind Volvo's score of 617. The lowest-ranked brand in the TXI Study is Mini, with Porsche right behind. Diving a little bit deeper, JD Power's findings suggest that the technologies new car buyers care most about are related to helping them see their surroundings better. Camera systems, including rear-view mirror cameras and ground-view cameras, scored highest in five of the six satisfaction attributes measured in the study. The technology that owners could really do without? Gesture controls. Owners who answered JD Power's survey say they don't use gesture controls much at all after initially trying them, and they don't really care if their next vehicle has them. We have to wonder if those responses might be what kept BMW out of the top spot. The TXI Study also found that owners are split on automated driving helpers, like lane-keeping assist and automatic emergency braking. JD Power suggests that owners may need more training on those systems before they learn to trust them. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party.
