Montgomery, Alabama, United States

1989 Volvo 760 Turbo Intercooled Station Wagon with 3rd Row Seat. Black with Gray Leather Seats. Has 960 front seats and 960 Glass Moon Roof instead of orinal solid moon roof.

Has 240,300 miles on it...Thats an average of 9,612 miles per year going off the total miles.  I purchased the car in February and performed the following: ( Put Orginal Wheels and Firestone Tires back on it;  new muffler system front to back; new A/C Compressor & refrigerant hose(s) running new R34 Refrigerant so the air is cold; new front brake rotors, rear brake rotors turned, new rear brake calipers & pads , new inner  & outer tie rod(s) on front end with computer front end alignment. All Belts including timing belt has been replaced.  No fluid leaks . Has an under carriage draw tight type tow hitch under rear bumper with a tow bar insert.

Car Starts the first time every time. Runs and Drives good. Tracks smooth and straight. Front end tight. Good set of Firestone tires on it.  Comes with a 2nd set of tires and turbine wheels that came on the car when I got...Turbine wheels with Toyo Tires that have good tread left.(sse Pic)  I just preferred the original wheels..(I'm 50 ) so that's why..Have extra set of tail lights that go with it as well. Paint is in good shape and it has normal small dings for its age, but no obvious dents or scratches that stand out and look terrible. Its a decent looking car.

I originally purchased the car to drive myself & then give it to my daughter when she turned 16 .  However, my downstairs A/C blew out and I had to replace the entire thing . So I am selling the car to off-set the home a/c cost.

I don't think you will be disappointed..Reserve is low. If you win the bid and arrive and don't like it, no worries don't buy it.

Car sold  as is  with no warranties express or implied.

When Android Automotive goes in the dash, Google wins — and automakers lose data

Tue, May 22 2018

You've gotta hand it to Google for the way the Silicon Valley tech giant has made indelible inroads into the car on multiple fronts. The most obvious is with its pioneering self-driving car technology that's caused car companies to get their act together on autonomous vehicles — and also collaborate with Google. Google has more directly extended its influence and data-mining capabilities into the car with its Android Auto smartphone-projection platform that most major automakers have adopted along with Apple's CarPlay. And now it's preparing to dig even deeper into dashboards by deploying its open-source operating system, Android Automotive, beginning with Audi and Volvo. Volvo recently announced that its next-generation Sensus infotainment system will run Android Automotive as an OS and include Google's Play Store for cloud-based content, Maps for navigation and Google Assistant for voice recognition, which can even command a car's climate control. By embedding Google in the dash, Volvo says owners will get an improved connected experience. "Bringing Google services into Volvo cars will accelerate innovation in connectivity and boost our development in applications and connected services," Volvo senior vice president of R&D Henrik Green said in a statement. "Soon, Volvo drivers will have direct access to thousands of in-car apps that make daily life easier and the connected in-car experience more enjoyable." Having Android Automotive onboard could benefit drivers — and provide a big win for Google, since it opens a deep and lucrative new data-mining vein for the company. But it's a wave of a white flag for car companies when it comes to delivering their own cloud-based content and services. It also represents a massive data giveaway and, for Audi, a reversal of earlier reservations about letting Google get too much access to car data. Not long after Android Auto and Apple CarPlay were introduced in 2014 and most automakers eagerly embraced the technologies, several German automakers second-guessed their decision when they realized what was at stake: data. At a conference in Berlin in 2015, Audi CEO Rupert Stadler said car owners "want to be in control of their data, and not subject to monitoring." A few months earlier, Stadler stated that "the data that we collect is our data and not Google's.

LOLVO Volvo V60 video leverages the power of cats on cars

Wed, 02 Jul 2014

You know what we haven't posted in a long time? A very weird, car-related video. It's high time we address this failing.
As strange videos go, this one is truly bizarre. The two-minute clip focuses on the Volvo V60 R-Design, although you're not going to be learning anything about the car. Instead, you're going to be focused on the weird narrator (and the cat decals on the windows).
It's like someone taught the Swedish Chef to speak English, but with a ridiculous accent and a script that's been fed through Google Translate. The result is a weirdly cerebral voice speaking in a manner that borders on gibberish mixed with information about the car. We're particularly fond of, "In accordance with Volvo tradition... the car... is... of course... furnished, with an inside." "Floor bibs," in reference to the floor mats, was an office favorite, as well.

Volvo S60 Polestar concept plays in the snow with Mercedes C63 AMG

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Chris Harris took to a snowy stretch of tarmac to get a fingertips-on-the-wheel feel of the Volvo S60 Polestar concept. Harris says the turbocharged sedan with 508 horsepower and 424 pound-feet of torque - and a manual transmission - is "a study to see if Volvo can get back into the fast-car market." The Polestar S60 concept, one of which was already purchased for $300,000 by a private buyer, is still making the publicity rounds because even Volvo's Chinese owners realize that, as Harris says, "Volvo sold more cars because it made fast cars" like the old 850 T5 Wagon that stormed the British Touring Car Championship in the 1990s.
For reference, Harris compares the blue wonder to the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and its 487 hp and 442 lb-ft. The question is, were Volvo to get the price of a production version of the S60 Polestar to climb way down from its 200,000-pound sticker, could it be worthy competition to the established giants?
You can watch Harris divine the answer via a lot of drifting through the snow and a drag race in the video below.
