One Owner 1992 Volvo 740 Base Wagon 4-door 2.3l Clean Autocheck No Reserve on 2040-cars
Ocean City, Maryland, United States
This is a classic one owner 1992 Volvo 740 Wagon. It runs and drives 100%, has a clean AutoCheck and is being sold with no reserve. The 2.3L four cylinder engine purrs along without a miss. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly without hesitation or slipping. The brakes, steering and suspension seem normal without problems. No exhaust leaks. The exterior should be considered very clean considering the age and miles. There are no major dents or dings. You might find a scratch if you look hard. No body rust, even on the lower rocker or around the wheel wells. The gas door is missing (see pic). No windshield chips or cracks. The lights and lenses are bright with no cracks. The front tires have about 10% tread and the rear tires are new but the car comes with complete other set of Volvo wheels and tires (see pic). The interior is blue. The carpets are in good condition but could use a better cleaning to be perfect. The seats are cloth with no bad stains, holes or wear areas. The front seats are heated. The driver door arm rest is cracked (see pic). All the power options such as windows, side mirrors, etc. work as designed. There is a factory sound system that was working but the display says "code" which means the battery went dead and the radio must be reset with the code. The heat is hot and the AC blows cold. These older Volvo wagons seem to run forever. There are no current mechanical issues with this vehicle and no indication of any impending problems. The new owner will be able to drive it away. This one owner vehicle is being sold by a Maryland Used Car Dealer. We require, on ALL internet sales, a $200 internet auction fee which covers document, clerical, airport transportation, IT support, internet provider and all other internet auction expenses. This fee covers our fixed expenses and allows us to sell with no reserve. We offer, with proof of insurance, a 60 day temporary tag for $50. This is a NO RESERVE auction which means that the high bidder, at auction end, must purchase the vehicle. Only bid if you intend to buy and you understand the payment procedure. Please don't insult our intelligence, and yours, with some lame excuse why you can't buy when you win. ALL non-paying bidders will be reported to Ebay. IF THE DEPOSIT IS NOT RECEIVED WITHIN 24 HOURS AS REQUIRED THROUGH PAYPAL WE WILL AUTOMATICALLY RELIST AND REPORT AN UNPAID BIDDER. We try to describe all vehicles accurately. For questions call 410 251-7326. Thanks. A MARYLAND STATE INSPECTION IS NOT REQUIRED FOR MARYLAND RESIDENTS SINCE THIS VEHICLE QUALIFIES FOR HISTORIC REGISTRATION. DEPOSIT ARE NON-REFUNDED. |

Volvo to finally replace XC90 in 2014
Wed, 16 Jan 2013There's not a whole lot of life left in the current Volvo XC90, but it seems a replacement is on the way. According to What Car?, Volvo will launch its new flagship crossover sometime in 2014, riding on an all new platform that will eventually underpin several models in the company's range.
According to Volvo boss Hakan Samuelsson, this new architecture will eventually underpin the next-generation S60, V70, S80 and XC60, all of which will be getting mid-cycle enhancements over the next year. In speaking to What Car?, Samuelsson said that Volvo would not try to follow the paths set by BMW and Mercedes-Benz, instead focusing on "safety, elegant design and user-friendly functionality" for its next round of new cars.
The new XC90 will remain a seven-passenger vehicle and will be powered by a range of four-cylinder engines. Volvo will soon be dropping the five- and six-cylinder powertrains from its lineup.
